I hadn't been to IHOP in years, but since it was right down the street from my appointment I figured why not give it a shot. The place was packed when I got there around 10:25 AM so I figured that had to be a good sign. Our waiter was awesome super attentive and on top of everything. I never had to ask for a refill or check in on our order which was a nice change. The food hit the spot everything came out hot and tasted great. That said the cleanliness was a letdown. Our table and seats were sticky and the bathroom was honestly gross. Definitely took away from the experience a bit. Still the vibes were good the food was solid and the service was great. Took my daughters for brunch after their doctors appointment because they wanted ihop and was running errands, picked the closest location. We were sat almost immediately. Place wasn't as clean as other ihops, but it wasn't too bad. Waitress was friendly. Food tasted average. However, I ordered grits in the side and it never came out. Took forever for our waitress to get to us for me to inform her it was missing and my food was practically all gone. So I canceled it, she asked if I still wanted it even though I wouldn't be charged. I agreed since my daughter was still eating and after a while she came back saying they were out of grits and offered to substitute it. This was just a horrible breakfast. Eggs with cheese was good. That's IT. POWER PROTEIN Pancakes were mealy, hashbrowns hard and overcooked. Bacon fatty, not a hint of Maple bacon flavor. Ooh, ooh, ooh!!! They have blueberry pancakes!!! And crepes!!! I'm not sure why that makes me so happy but it does! I can never find crepes anywhere, so every time I see an IHOP, I want crepes- which is silly because they're pancakes are absolutely heaven to die for, fat kid in a candy store type delicious. And for $30, our little party of three ate and ate and ate until I was wishing I wore maternity pants. Or leggings. I happen to usually really like IHOP, and have been to many from the East coast to West coast as I have lived in RI and AZ and drive cross country for over 40 years!!! This is without a doubt the absolute worst one!!!!!!!! They were busy which I can understand it's Labor Day. So we waited a while, then we sat down and waited with our menus for almost 40 minutes, then after they waited on people that came after us it was finally our turn, we gave the waitress our order and we waited and waited and waited, then as someone walked by we asked if we could have our drinks? They came over with No utensils????? How do you stir hot coffee? Ok then we waited an HOUR for the food that came to the table in sections? Steak with potatoes but NO eggs, and some kind of pancakes with whipped cream? That is not what I ordered or asked for, when I asked her where my eggs were she said oh they are making them? They arrived 10 minutes after all the rest of the food. I'm not a picky person but I refused to work hard and go out to be treated this way by anyone!!!!!!!! Stopped in after a long car ride and was treated excellently by the I hop staff. We were instantly greeted and seated. Our waiter Joe was friendly, fast and courteous. He served our table with manners and delicacy. All we ordered was promptly put on our table after a small time of preparation. This IHOP was pretty welcoming. It took a minute before they got us a table but other than that, the service was great and the server was very kind. The food came pretty fast in just over ten minutes. The food was very tasty. Everyone really enjoyed it. I especially enjoyed the delicious "IHOP signature 100% premium orange juice." It was music to my stomach. The food was very well priced with very generous portions and the orange juice was also very well priced for such a delicious concoction. ONLY $4.49!!! I have eaten at this I hop many times and it's usually a hit or miss about how your food/service is going to be. Let me start off with saying I have worked in the food industry for years and I am normally pretty understanding. But today I went with my mom and as soon as we walked you could tell the host did not want to be here. She sat us down and then the server came over she got us our drinks and took down our order. I asked for the Cali melt, with no tomato and extra mayo. When the server brought our food over it had no mayo, no avocado, and shredded cheese on it. When she asked how everything was I told her about it and she said "alright?...did you want me to take it back to them?" in a rude manor. I told her yes, I just wanted some avacado and mayo, if anything you could have just brought it on the side. So when she comes back she has a huge cup of mayo and my sandwich. And when I opened up my sandwich it has one little avocado slice on each side. It was super petty. So I put the mayo on (picture) and finished the sandwich. I wanted to get some ketchup for my fries, since there isn't any on the table, and my server was taking someone else's order so I wasn't going to bother her. The host walked by again and my mom said "ma'am?" About 4 times while she was right next to our table and was definitely close enough to hear, but she didn't even look at us. Honestly I can't say I'm surprised, but you would think maybe they would have a manager up at the front making sure the food is going out correct. Should have been a negative star. The waitress Rowanda was very nice, but it started with they were out of creamer. Than we placed our orders. When the food was being delivered they were out of butter, syrup and ketchup. The hot sauce was the last bottle with a drop. The food was cold, it took about 10 minutes more to get pancakes. There was no visit from the manager and when we were leaving there was a handwritten copy paper sign stating a whole page of what they are out of and asking people to look it over to make sure they still wanted to be seated. The food is as average as it gets. Nothing is particularly bad, nor is anything very good. The food is expensive for the lack of quality, but they do give you a decent quantity. I have never left there still hungry. Also, if you are counting calories, this is not the place for you. Most of the items are 1000 - 2000 calories. Lets be honest, no one goes to IHOP for the quality of the food, its simply the convenience of it being open 24 hours. I dont know why I continue to go here. I guess its because its always open. I could always go to Denny's, but they suffer from the exact same issues mentioned above. There is at least one positive, the staff is always friendly. When we originally came in they were extremely backed up. Other customers informed us they were out of french toast and waffles, after that it cleared out. We sat down for about 20 minutes with no service. we ordered milkshakes and they only had enough for one of them. we also ordered mozzarella sticks which were cold and they only gave us 1/4 of a little cup of marinara sauce. we sat for about an hour and a half while other families were getting their food before us along with getting here after us and finishing before us. we ordered bacon burgers and got everything but bacon. waitress was nice, service not so much. read more

I enjoyed the pancakes so much, that I came back for dinner that night and had chicken and pancakes. Service the second time was great as well. The food was fresh and the pancakes were delicious. My chicken had a good flavor but was overcooked and kinda dried out but I just dipped it in the ranch dressing. I will definitely return again when I'm in town and in the mood for pancakes. The last 3 visits have been gross. I ordered 2 chocolate chip pancakes and an appetizer sampler for my son and I. The pancakes had like 8 (burnt) chocolate chips in the center only.
