She determined that he was cleaning, but only put a "caution, wet floor" sign at the door. Overall it was okay. But we ordered online and my husband went to pick it up. My daughter is currently staying as inpatient at MOI. We ordered some chocolate chip pancakes, my husband's biscuit meal and my waffle combo. They had it all bagged up for my husband to grab and go. He got back to the hospital and my combo portion was missing. As a pregnant mama with her oldest child in the hospital, I was disappointed to not have my eggs, meat and hashbrowns. When I arrived the parking lot was packed. Good sign. The staff were friendly and while assisting other customers worked as a team to provide a table for me. This IHOP specializes in fast turnaround but also makes sure you satisfied. I speak as an old IHOP server myself. The food came out nice and hot and fresh. The kitchen crew and expediters were on a roll. I see why they have 4 Stars on Google Maps. My spicy poblano omelette was the best I've ever had, seriously! The meat was well seasoned the ingredients just came together to hit my hungry stomach after truck driving all night. I substituted my pancakes for the lemon and blueberry crepes; was not disappointed. If I could have eaten the plate I would have. Great job IHOP and see you next time. The ambience was great as well. I went to Ihop with my husband today and let me just say that it was a great experience. Our waiter (I doubt it's spell like this but) Derek was amazing. He made the experience so much more enjoyable. He always checked up on us and asked if we wanted more food and all that good stuff. My husband has always been the type to tip on attitude and how we get treated and he really enjoyed how Derek was great attitude and super nice. Let's just say he definitely deserved the tip given today. If when we come again i hope to get him as our waiter again. He had an amazing attitude and was patient with us and everything. We used to love IHOP, the staff were great, the food was great and we had never had a bad meal until recently. The last 3 visits were very disappointing and we will never go back. On my last three visits I tried different areas of the menu to see if it was just one section, but no. It was second rate food that I can cook so much better at home. Also, the kitchen staff are shouting, why is that? I found that very distracting and it lowers the enjoyment of the experience. It is a shame that this restaurants quality of food and enjoyment has fallen so far. Sad experience ambiance wise, the manager is just running around counting seats in a less than half filled room worried about a bunch of med students group of 22. Two of us ordered omelettes and the other ordered salmon. We waited an extremely long time and when the food was served, the side dish for the salmon wasn't right. As the waitress was correcting that, the salmon was cut into only to find it was raw in center. This could have been deadly! The waitress asked if we wanted something else and by the time that order was done, the rest of table was finished eating. I was disappointed to see that I was charged full price for the replacement meal and only offered a 20% discount after complaining. The only thing I enjoyed about this trip was the service from the waitress. She was very friendly and I enjoyed her more than the food. She was not to blame for any of the problems and did the best she could to correct the problems. It's a shame I won't be going back to this IHOP because she was great. The food and management are horrible. They should've done more to keep my business, but they didn't and I will not return. read more

Food good good server but called up to figure out some ingredients in the food because we have food allergies and trying to figure out what we are sick from and the manager picked being rude basically telling me she had "A full restaurant and needed to attend to that and to figure out ourself." This is a serious matter food allergies aren't a joke. When someone is trying to figure something out and calling your story to get help figuring it out be professional and help. Ordered a he omelet that was missing from my JJ's order, and requested curbside pickup. Before they opened their dining room, we had ordered takeout breakfast, with curbside pickup, several times, and we were always pleased. The food was hot and exactly to order. Today, the food was delicious, as expected, but after calling the curbside pickup number several times and getting a busy signal, I trekked in through the crowd, again, gathered at the front, inside the doors. My daughter, grandkids, & I went Saturday (4/22/23) for dinner. The food was not all that great; my grandson had the chicken tenders and they were overcooked. We usually go to IHOP in St Louis, but we were traveling and decided to make the stop to rest and eat. We went to the one on in Columbia. When we got there, there was no waiting, got seated right away. Waitress came got our drink order and then our order for our breakfast. Evetything was delicious. Came here to eat breakfast for lunch and I was not disappointed. It's your average IHOP with great service. If you come here in the weekends it's busy all day, expect a wait. This place stays busy here, as it is the only location in Columbia. If you have a party of 2, you won't have to wait long, 3 or more people will have to usually wait until a table opens. read more

I've been here many times, but this is my first review of this location. Buckle in... The staff at the door and host stand were pleasant and we got seated within the time estimated. Once seated though, the hostess wouldn't move far enough for me to easily sit down. Our server started out well enough. Once she returned with our drinks however she completely forgot my coffee. She was a little unpleasant to look at (not that I think all servers should be models) due to the overabundance of shitty tattoos, unkept hair and brown stained teeth. She also didn't have much of a personality to boot. It was a Saturday early afternoon so we expected it to be busy, but waiting over 20 minutes for a plate of breakfast at a table of 2 was ridiculous. We ordered pancakes and eggs, not well done steaks and rizoto. My orange juice had entirely too much pulp and I almost had to chew it before swallowing. Not for me. The coffee tasted a little burnt and didn't have much flavor. My seat still had food and salt or sugar in it from the previous guests and I had to tell her to take my spoon away, as it still had hardened food on it from someone else's meal. Once our food arrived it was hot, but wrong. I got shorted on my bacon and sausage portions. The eggs had no pepper or seasoning at all. I'd asked for jalapeños in my hash browns. Here's the problem....WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH. I counted 19 slices of jalapeño rings in my has browns and I ate about 5 other slices, totalling about TWENTY FIVE SLICES OF JALAPEÑO. It's called paying attention. It's called discretion. Use good judgment. They basically put 2 1/2-3 full sized jalapeño in one order of hash browns. Get a clue. Overall, not my best breakfast experience by far. I understand being busy on a weekend. I also understand thousands in this particular city are seeking jobs. Maybe staff up a little more? Maybe some training would help? If I have a choice, I won't come back again unless I'm wasted at 3am and even then I'll think twice. read more

I was traveling across the country and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express close by (awesome, by the way). I wanted to get on the road at 5:30am, which is before Starbucks opens, and I needed wifi and coffee, so I decided to come here. They gave me the wifi password but the connection was absolutely miserable. I asked the waitress if they could reset the modem (figuring they probably don't do that more often than once every decade) and she looked at me like I was crazy. Eventually, I got the manager to reset the connection and it worked ok for a few minutes and then crapped out again. Nobody working there gave a damn about ensuring the wifi they claim to have is functioning properly. Also, the biscuits for my biscuits and gravy were stale. Some of the wait staff hit a home run every time and provide outstanding customer services.
