I have lived 10 minutes away for years, and finally stopped in, after many disappointments in local restaurants due to cleanliness and price , I gave the old IHOP a try , nice pleasant people, very clean Coffee cups and dishes not all chipped up and nice fresh filtered water and the food was perfect , for a Chain they rocked it , I advise to support places with these standards, dont let them disappear. I have been let down in the area many places due to cleanliness mostly . This place worth keeping, support them so the doors never get shuttered

OK SO, we had this WONDERFUL, AMAZING, and super cool server named "sapphire", i had a wonderful time talking to them and gave my friend a talk about middle school. Anyway so towards the food, i got the avacado toast, yummy but it looks more weird then my life. Anyway so back to sapphire, they were the best server i've had in my ENTIRE 14 years of living. anyway that's it bye.

We usually have no problems here. But today it took an hour to get 2 eggs and a grilled cheese sandwich. We sat down at 11:20 and finally got our food at 12:17. And they aren't even that busy. At 40 minutes I asked our server if our order was coming soon, he told us it will be out in a couple of minutes. 10 minutes later he came and told us they were out of rye bread and asked us to pick a different bread. Finally at 50 minutes I asked for the check for our drinks because we weren't waiting any longer. Instead of the check, now he brings us our meal. Never again. An hour for grilled cheese and eggs. Give me a break!!

I like IHOP ,good quality food, and you are treated with respect..I don't remember what I ordered because it's been awhile since I've been there..I think it might have been a club Sandwhich and was good..nice atmosphere to..EileenT

Colorado Omelette. Delicious and really filling! Love it with hot sauce!

The food was cooked to order and did not take long. Food I got the onion smashed burger. I thought it was delicious with charred onions smashed into the burger and cheese. I did not use any ketchup for the burger because it was very well seasoned and juicy. Tater bombs These were a tarot tot on steroids. It came with what looked like a some sort of ketchup/mayo concoction. Basically a fried loaded potato is a shape of a big beefy tater tot. It had bits of bacon and cheese in it. It had a nice crunch and fluffiness to the inside. Though you get six of these tasty potatoes, there are substantially enough for a side (and to some a perfect snack). Overall Definitely visit smashd burger. It is a family and veteran owned burger place that serves great burgers and fun sides. I think I have to go back and try the bacon jam... We visited on Memorial Day when they opened at noon. There were already a few people seated both indoors and outdoors, but since the weather was perfect, we decided to sit on the patio, which was lovely. I was so happy to see items on the menu clearly designated as vegan. The Grilled Butter Chicken sandwich featuring plant-based SWAP meat was the most intriguing option thanks to its rich Indian-inspired seasoning. It exceeded expectations and was truly delicious. (And how great is it that they offer a vegan brioche bun?!?) There was a nice selection of sides, but I thought the tater tots paired best with the sandwich. Our server was very nice and incredibly helpful. She made us feel very welcome and even gave me an artsy postcard of the place for free. I can see how some people might find the service a bit slow, but we were in no hurry and appreciated the relaxed pace of our dining experience.

The Cottage is one of the long time favorites for locals. A lot of great drinks and unexpectedly great food. You can find meaty and vegetarian options including burgers, fish, and pizza. Basically we weren't expecting much from this bar. It's mostly like a sports bar, cluttered inside. The food was to be an afterthought, we thought. Actually looks like a cottage inside. Lots of wood fixtures and paneling. It's about $12 for cocktails. Seasonal ones include margaritas for summer, toddys for winter. It's about $18 for a pizza. We got the Veggie Pizza, which has green peppers, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and tomatoes. Also there's Mexican options including burrito bowls and fajitas. There's even vegan chorizo as a topping. Great options in this bar that's better than typical bar food. It's got a rotating menu with lots of things added for the season. This is located on Crystal Lake Avenue at Walkup.

But I was pleasantly surprised by the food too. I got the cheeseburger sliders which were really good. Moist, tasty, and the perfect size for a slider. I ordered fries on the side and wasn't expecting the portion size. They gave an entire basket of fries that easily could have fed the party of four adults I was there with. Crispy, flavorful, loved them. The cheese curds were also great, paired with a sauce recommended by the bartender. I wish I could remember what it was, definitely some type of sweet/salty almost teriyaki sauce. So, so good. I don't drink alcohol much so I can't comment on the drinks but everyone we were there with seemed to enjoy them. So much so, they ordered several. Great vibes here. They had the front window open for a beautiful sixty degree day. Music was on. Everyone there both staff and other customers were all really nice and we had a great time. Turns out our bartender was the owner of the bar and he was just fantastic. Attentive but not overly so. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a great place for a drink and a bite to eat.
