This is where to eat an affordable breakfast or lunch near the beach in Daytona. It's also one of the few spots still open 24 hours. Usually crazy at peak times the servers are seasoned pros, the food is always fresh and they have a full time porter who cleans everything all day long. Prices are fair and food comes out of the kitchen quickly. Aside from the great breakfast items and burgers, I will go just for a milkshake fix. The decor is tired but always clean. Because the parking lot is small, people who think they can park to go to the beach will be towed! It's been at least a decade since I've visited an IHOP. We were in Daytona Beach, late night, and hadn't had dinner, so we decided to venture over because we were hungry. It was Thursday night during March. They had a limited late night menu for Bike Week. I wasn't thrilled that I couldn't get a western omelette; but decided on the Bacon Temptation omelette. It turned out to be a great decision because it was simply delicious, and full of bacon. It also had a yummy cheese sauce on top. As my side, I chose hash browns. When Brandon, our server, asked if I wanted to top them with cheese, onions, and peppers; I happily relied "yes, please." The hash browns were just as good as the omelette! Plus the whole meal was just over $15. My husband had the French toast combo that came with a slice of French toast, 2 eggs, bacon, and hash browns. He said everything was really good, and just $11.59. We both cleaned our plates! Besides great food; I can't say enough about our server, Brandon. He was hustling! He seated us, took our orders, checked on us often, and was quick to fill up our waters. While we were eating we watched him cleaning other tables and seating other guests. Visited here about 2.30 am. The food was good. The waitress did her job well enough. As I was finishing up, she came up and leaned into my space in the booth. Began telling me about her physical aches and pains. When I politely but firmly told her I did not need to hear all this, she didn't seem to understand. (not a foreign language issue). I finally had to tell her plainly to go away. She did, but I could hear her begin telling the other staff and customers that I had been screaming at her. This continued as I paid and left. I never raised my voice. I certainly will never visit there again at that time of day. Unlikely that I will visit there any other time, but If I see her I will leave. Not my first visit there. I realize it is a very busy Sunday morning, however there were plenty of tables on one side of the restaurant available. The problem was that evidently there is only one table that my husband who is confined to a wheelchair could sit at. A large family was at the table. We were told a 30 Minute wait for a table. Of course many people came in after us & were all seated right away. It was very frustrating experience. One table that could was wheelchair accessible, was used as a storage area for condiments and other supplies. We felt that the person seating customers could have cared less. We finally left, getting a breakfast to go. We never have had a problem at other IHOPs. They have had a few places a wheelchair patron can sit at. We really will think twice before going to IHOP again. It was a very disappointing experience. read more

We had breakfast here on our last morning of vacation when leaving Daytona Beach. Service was quick and pleasant. My hash brown potatoes were good, and the side of bacon was just right crispy, but had no bacon flavor, more like cardboard. Not good bacon quality. My wife had the strawberries and cream crepes. The crepes were made from pancake batter, not real crepe batter, so were thick and heavy and not thin and crisp as crepes should be. And the strawberries were mushy with a too-sweet glaze. She said she would not order this again. While this rating applies to this IHOP only, I had another bad IHOP experience in Gatlinburg TN when traveling back in August. I'll start by saying-it's an ihop. BUT it's an ihop that was super clean with great service and really good food. While ihop itself is nothing to write home about, the service was so spectacular. Michelle was our server and she did the best job. We came at the end of a conference and were tired of the hotel food and hotel prices so we went for a simple dinner that wouldn't break the bank. I got the Classic burger with bacon, I will not lie it was the best burger i've ever tasted everything was so good and the tomatoes and lettuce were fresh and good, Fries were crispy and right amount of salt. My mother got same as me but instead of fries a salad and she said that it was good. I get that places get slammed on holidays, but I'm pregnant. I waited at home for my delivery order and they made the delivery worker wait for about an hour before finally telling her that he ran out of bananas and plates. What kind of restaurant isn't prepared for a holiday slam nowadays? We could have been notified sooner. Our company was literally passed out waiting for food to arrive that never came. Someone clearly isn't doing things right or communicating when they clearly see a delivery person waiting for that long. I'm hangry and it's 1:10 am. My salad was brought out with mixed leaves, diced tomatoes and strips of soggy onions already tossed in ranch. While eating my lettuce (definitely not a garden salad), I realized that was not given a choice of soup or salad. I called the server over and inquired. She explained that she forgot so she didn't put anything in when she placed the order. It was tone for the food to arrive so he asked for fruit instead and was informed that it could not be done. I ordered online as we were staying across the street. I was impressed that it said the order would be ready in 15 minutes. I walked across the street and when I walked in there was one cook and one server bagging to go orders, waiting on tables, checking people out. There was a posted sign noting staffing shortages due to covid and the server immediately greeted me and others that had walked in after me apologizing saying she would be right with us. I waited less than five minutes while she took out an order, took another table their check, bagged the two to go orders that were ahead of me and rang one of them up. The family that walked in after me wanting to me served walked out, but I think the cook and server were doing an amazing job! My son's pancakes were perfect. The order was 100% accurate and fresh.
