I went here because it's a new restaurant in Delano but it is worth the wait. The staff is friendly but the food is horrible. I had coffee that was watered down. My hash browns were undercooked. My eggs were undercooked too. My bacon was burned and it was cold. The only that was good was the French toast but even then that was cold. The cooks are still learning how to make the food. Save yourself some money and come in a couple of months once the cooks know what they're doing. read more

Pretty disappointed in the service and food after being here 5 times so far. Many times I have waited 45 min or even longer for food to only have my order wrong 3 out of the five times being here. Also, not too mention their utensils and dishes are not the cleanest... my coffee mug had lipstick stains from the previous customer... Denny's In Delano is better in my opinion. read more

The service was awful. The waitress took our order and did not return to our table. We all got our orders at different times and items were missing from our orders. I did not even get my food. So we got up and asked for a manager as it had been 20 minutes since everyone else had got their food now mind you still no waitress. Manager was not too concerned our apologetic. I finally got my food after everyone had been done eating. You think the manager would have brought the food to my table but he did not. I had ordered sirloin tips with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Well the sirloin tips were frozen on the inside. Terrible food. I ordered chorizo and eggs with hashbrowns. The potatoes were terrible. They were toasted so much it was difficult to separate and chew. I asked the waitress to please replace them, which she happily did and brought back another batch that wasn't any better. I am not one to complain about my food, but I only give it a star because that's the lowest I can rate. This is my first review and I felt compelled to write it because I was truly disappointed. Pretty average food. To be honest that should be expected. It's not really a fancy place but the iced coffee is great and the hospitality was great as well. The food is good here, with corporate restaurant chains you almost always get the same flavors no complaints here. What does need improvement is the customer service starting with the hostesses. I usually go on the weekend and it never fails that they either skip someone or make you wait to be seated when there is plenty of seating. I have requested to be seated in a certain area and have got bad faces when I've asked. These are the first people we see when we walk into the restaurant and should be the ones to make you feel welcomed not another obstacle to get through to finish the work shift. Moving onto the waitresses, I've been to this Delano location about 6x and luckily we have got the same waitress 3 of those times and she was great- sadly don't have her name but the others either need lack of training or hospitality to serve you as a customer. And I am not including the rude waiters that I have overheard with other customers. Delano IHOP you need customer service training. read more

It's not because of the food that I am rating this place very poorly but because of the customer service. The place wasn't busy at all, only about 3-4 tables that were occupied. There was only ONE server who would rather clean the tables than ask for our orders. We waited about 10 freakin minutes and still she NEVER approached our table. So unprofessional and poorly trained! Probably one of the worst experiences I've had at at a restaurant. The server Veronica somehow managed to get promoted, which is beyond my comprehension. She was the worst server in the restaurant. She avoided our table the whole time. We had to ask servers walking by for help. I asked for a water with lemon, she just brought water. So I ask for lemon, 10 minutes later she comes with the lemons. I didn't get my refill until about 40 mins into the meal. We asked for two sides of fries about 30 mins in and she brings us one side about 20 mins later. The second side never came. Then on the way out she still asked us if everything was good. Hell no it wasn't. I was a server for 6 years and I know when a server is. Yay and when she's just lazy and this girl was just being lazy. I'm personally never going back and I urge anyone thinking about stopping here to just eat at any of the surrounding restaurants. Save yourself an hour. The worst part is that the manager didn't do anything to help the situation. He just walked away after I paid to avoid me. read more

I've recently went to ihop last weekend and there was so many people waiting I asked the hostess if it was going to be a long wait because my husband hates waiting, she kindly replied she can sit me in less than 10 minutes. And she did!!! I really wish I remembered her name but she was a lovely girl, all I remember was her hair being very curly, my waitress was destiny and my gosh she's the sweetest girl that has waited me in a while! Absolutely great service I'm definitely going back thanks ihop I see so much improvement!! read more

I love ihop but the one here in delano just don't do things right I have came twice to give them a second chance but honestly they don't get it I clearly tell them no onion on omelette and they put i asked for sausages and they were raw they never have soups I'm just disappointed and I always let them know in a nice way but they just don't get it not coming here again read more

Worst experience ever at an IHOP. The food was raw, and cold. The dishes from cups to silver wear were dirty from previous users. It was disgusting !!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I recently went with my family to have lunch and man was it the worst experience. It started right off the bat with getting seated at a table that was dirty, when I told the waitress that it was dirty, the only thing she did was bring napkins to clean myself.Next thing that happened was our food was brought out. The food that my mom and I got is not what we wanted. I ordered the turkey sandwich and what I got was bread with semi frozen turkey in between, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a big deal. Then my moms meal came out and it wasn't what she ordered so I quickly told our waitress that she messed up on the order, but my mom was okay with what they handed her UNTIL she found a hair in her food. That was the cherry on top and I definitely was annoyed and wanted a discount after that. Terrible service plus terrible food. The waitress came back and was soo fake and acted like she didn't know what was going on when she did. Luckily, the only nice person there was the manager and she did give us a discount and apologized. I do not recommend this place. read more
