I'm a fan of this IHOP. First, it's consistently clean & well staffed. There is ample parking and you can call ahead to add your name to the seating list. Second, the food is consistently decent to good. I enjoy the crepes. Hubs likes their country fried steak. I've had the chicken & waffles which is decent assuming you have realistic expectation when ordering it at IHOP. I've enjoyed several omelets as well as a few sandwiches. Today I got the cinnamon dippers (donut holes) at the end which were well received and are great for sharing, there were seven on the plate. Two friends got the hot chocolate & it looked delicious. Usually, I am not satisfied with IHop, but this food was not what I was expecting. We wanted to have breakfast before reaching home, but all the diners were off our course. We went in, and we already started off badly, honestly. We asked to sit outside, and we had to actually go hunt down a waiter. Once the waiter came, we ordered our food. Amazing! We stopped in to have a very very early dinner late lunch since we've been working hard to get ready for the antique show. I was here because I got last place in fantasy football in one my leagues. I did an entire workout in the morning, ran couple miles and lifted weights and came hungry. My mission was to eat as many pancakes as possible within 24 hours because the last place punishment was to stay at an IHOP for 24 hrs, but you deduct a full hour when you eat each pancake. Food is hit or miss depending on who the chef is that day. Today (8/6/25 2pm) it was perfect!! The service is usually good but today, not so much. We had Noah. Although he was very pleasant, he was slow. It took a while just to get our drinks. As we ate, he didn't check on us one time. When he finally came to our table and saw the plates were empty he asked "is there anything I can get you?" Yep. The check. He delivered that but we waited another almost 10 min for him to come back and take payment. I finally just left cash and walked out. So yeah, service today was very subpar. I haven't been to an IHOP in years but after the incredible service of Chris, the manager, and his wonderful staff, I'll definitely be adding this to our rotation. It's going to be a busy day and my husband called in a order to go. He picked up and in typical husband fashion, he didn't check the order. He had ordered a side of sausage as the entree would include an order of bacon. When he got home and so proudly presented his hunter gathered meal, it had the side order of bacon instead of sausage! I know it seems like such a minuscule thing but sometimes you know what you want. My husband had already left to tend to errands and I'm left wishing I didn't have just bacon. I called IHOP and told them what happened and the staff had the manager pick up without me even asking! He asked where I lived and said he would deliver it as I was only 6 minutes away. I often visit the IHOP in Fairfax, VA, late at night several times each month because it's the only place in the area that allows dine-in so late. Usually, I have a good experience, but this time I was really disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Omelette, which I've enjoyed before, but when it arrived, it wasn't right. At first, it looked fine because of the toppings, but when I cut into it, I found there was no filling inside at all. Everything that should have been inside was missing and just placed on top, which made the omelette look smaller than usual. They also forgot to include the salsa. I understand the restaurant was busy with a large group, and I didn't mind waiting, but the food quality should still be consistent. Since I've ordered this omelette before and it was much better, I know this isn't how it's supposed to be. For $16.59, I expected to get what the menu listed, but I left very disappointed. read more

Ok-I'll exercise my 1st Amendment rights and leave a review. Tuesday Feb. 10. Like many people, the weather changes have had me coughing all night and I'm getting breakfast at 6 pm. I ignore the multitude of teenagers working at this IHOP and give my order to a young girl in front. About 10 minutes later, she returns and hands me a bag - I was going to check it, but it was double knotted and had a red Security Seal, even though this was MY FOOD, not a delivery. I asked her if I had butter and syrup because I couldn't eat dry pancakes. Apparently this was funny to her because she chuckled and returned with some in a bag. I travelled across town, had to rip open the bag and found out the pancakes were missing -not something I really needed at the time. I drove back to the IHOP and the same girl asked me what I was missing; like it was normal for this to happen. I was understandably upset and Olivia (server-in-charge, but not in anyway a manager) came to find out what was happening. I asked her how could anyone at IHOP NOT give me pancakes and did the girl even check the order she had been given 10 minutes before. She said she would make it right and returned with the order a short while later. Before she would give me the food I had paid for, she made a point to tell me that anyone can make a mistake and they made it right. REALLY ?! How can they "make right" my travelling across town and back, then waiting AGAIN because someone can't take a simple order and put the food in a bag, then double-knots and seals it ?!? I have had this problem before at this location and stopped eating there for awhile. I live right up the street and tried repeatedly to eat here TWICE A DAY because I don't cook (that's at least $750/month). This is a SHAME IHOP !! But people like Olivia think they have an inalienable right to make mistakes and have the customers bear the consequences - then confront the customers in front of the people they SHOULD Be Training. This is NOT customer service - it's a reason for disciplinary action. ANY confrontation with a customer would have gotten me fired from any job I've had, ESPECIALLY if the customer was right ! Anyone who can't take an order and put food in a bag doesn't belong working in a restaurant. And anyone who has NO empathy or customer service skills surely does not belong in charge and setting an example. You can't fix this kind of crap with coupons, promotions and changes to the menu, IHOP. I used to eat at Denny's for YEARS because IHOP was more expensive. But over time, their service got so bad I moved on; I'm happy to see them recently shutting down restaurants. I come to order from this restaurant every other day after work around 4 am and since I work the overnight shift and IHOP is the only thing that's open. I don't expect much but every-time I order from this place, they just can't seem to get my order right. The service wasn't even attentive. I tried to call ahead to place an order and no one answered. I then made an order online for curbside pick up and followed directions. I called, no answer. I sat in the parking for 30 mins waiting on them and it took me having to go inside having to find them sitting at one of the tables chatting with each other. Once I got the order I asked for extra sauce because I knew they didn't give me sauce and I was right. They gave me 3 ketchup packets and a dream. This was an on the road late night stop and first time at this location. I have become increasingly less and less of a supporter of the chain l. This is primarily due to what seems to be a weakening of food quality. My son and I waited at the hostess station for too long with a young male finally seating us. The table was clean. After a respectable 20 minutes food was out and hot. My son enjoyed the pancakes, but as in the past did not care for the eggs. He reported the bacon was too fatty. To me looked normal. A follow up occurred to refill coffee and check on food. No problems were reported with needing to hurry. Ultimately I don't think sending it back would change anything. The bill was brought to the table toward the end of the meal which was appreciated. Checkout was efficient. No complaints made. I'm just not feeling IHOP. Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. For a party of 2 we only had to wait 10-15 minutes. The food also came out pretty quickly in like 10 or so minutes as well. Food was good. Got the pancakes from the Minion menu but I personally would not recommend it, they taste a bit strange. Stick to the other classic pancakes like the buttermilk ones. I give the Colorado Omelette a thumbs up with the pancakes side dish. My problem is where they sat me was quite warm and it wasn't near what you would call the kitchen area. My milk was lukecold. I expected it to be to just taken out of the fridge cold and it wasn't. So they are either having issues with their A/C and fridges or it's something else that they are overlooking or not aware of.
