If you stick to the basics you may not be disappointed, but even then it's not a garuntee. We were served rancid hash browns which not only tasted rancid but you could see the discoloration on it which had to pass both the chef and waiter's eyes. Our omlet looked completely different from what was depicted to the point that the way it was prepared differed. Been here a few times now and something always seems to go wrong and there is no concern on management's end. We won't be coming back as there are much better options for breakfast and lunch within walking distance of this establishment. read more

Well I don't know what anyone expects from an ihop. But my 4 year old loves it. But it's really pretty terrible and grimy. Also it's kind of expensive. I always do a double take at the bill since we always manage to spend $30+ on 2 adults and a kid. CJs is like $20, and J&M is similar price wise (but literally 100000 times better). Really my own fault for continuing to go here but it's pretty terrible. Also parking is very limited. The only plus side to going here is I usually get myself an iced coffee from dulce de leche during the insane 30+ minute wait on weekends. read more

We sat down took about 6 minutes before our waitress came her name is Stephanie. 2 seems very tired or very stoned out of her mind but she was friendly. Good morning my foodie friends and it's been sometime since my last review, as it is summer and I am enjoying the wonderful seafood that the New England region has to offer along with some great BBQ prepared by me. So this morning after waiting roughly 3 months for our local IHOP to workout their operations blues when first opening, and perfecting staff training and management leadership and kitchen products ... I am Happy to report .. The have managed to fail on every level possible!! Let's begin our review. Staff .... uninspired, poor communications, over staff there were more staff servers on the floor than I have very seen for such a small dining room and it was still slow and littered with mistakes and people that had no idea what they were doing ... there wasn't one staff member smiling they all looked like it was day 1 or they just got notice that the location would be closing at the end of the week. Food.. eggs over and under cooked, portion sizes smaller than any other location I've seen in the chain , ( westboro, Watertown, Hyannis ) it was pitiful. Hash browns under cooked .. the best was the order of toast that was 1 piece of toast cut in half placed on the plate both burnt and dry . When asking for butter it took another 3 minutes for the server to return with what was whipped butter in a soufflé cup that clearly is for the pancakes , when asked if the had butter packets they so no we don't why ? Nonetheless it was a ridiculous response. Manager.... who is not a really a manager he is a food runner at best when he arrived at our table with the food he was presented with the situation that both orders of eggs were prepared incorrectly, and the order could not have been any simpler eggs over medium .. what was received was over hard , and over easy how do you screw that up .. but his look of deer in the head lights when I said they were cooked incorrectly was priceless, but indicated exactly what the rest of the meal was going to be like . Getting a manger to understand his role as the team leader and go to guy or women is critical, and I'm not sure if corporate fell short on the this persons training or he just lied on his application but he needs to go back to retail and let the food service professionals get the jobs they deserve. Price .... $ 1.59 for 1 yes that's right 1 piece of burnt dry toast ... that should be enough!! Wow I got hosed this morning. In closing it's a late night after the club or party place due to the 24 hour license they Managed to secure, when your drunk and just don't care. .. but what's funny is that IHOP was that for years and they have tried to clean up that image over the last decade to create a family style environment to compete with the failing friendly chain ... And in one felt swoop Framingham has taken them back to day one. So from your seasoned restaurant owner, corporate chef, food service consultant and training professional... Go somewhere else , unless it's 2 am your starving BK, and McD is closed and you just don't care about service, cost, and quality then you've found the right place .. read more

First impressions matter. I've heard mixed reviews about this place from both friends and family. Decided to stop in today around 3:30pm after work. Upon entering, I noticed the two women at the hostess stand were very busy chatting and seemed less than pleased to acknowledge that I was waiting. After finally being seated, I was handed a menu and told my server will be right with me. The restaurant was pretty much empty besides a couple other patrons. There were 3-4 staff in the dining room who cleaned the same tiny section the entire time I was there.. almost an hour. Weird. I patiently waited for over 10 minutes for my server to approach. He was nice enough but didn't even introduce himself, just asked for my order. I ordered a lemonade+iced tea drink, which looked better than it tasted; super watery and bland. I should have just ordered actual water for free. My food came out surprisingly fast- the Belgian waffle combo w/ scrambled eggs and bacon. It was decent... nothing to write home about. My server never stopped by my table to ask how the food was and I didn't see him again until after I finished my meal. Throughout my dining experience the employees were paying 100% more attention hanging out/gossiping with their coworkers than to the people who were waiting on them... The staff at this location REALLY needs extensive training in customer service.. A smile goes a long way! Oh, and I must mention that there was a maintenance man standing on a ladder lifting up the fiberboard ceiling panels to fix, above occupied tables... Went for breakfast, which should be the easiest thing in the world at an IHOP. Our server seemed confused and forgetful. Things took much longer than expected and needed to be corrected. The IHOP they recently opened in Framingham is quite different than I remember. I think it has to do with management not being around. There was no supervisor the night we were there and the staff was fooling around a lot and talking and not paying much attention to the customers. Save your money and go somewhere else. It took over 25 minutes for Our food to come out cold. They took the pancakes to heat up and left the rest as they microwaved them. Microwaved pancakes just what I wanted. The waitress was so busy talking they still came out cold! Couldn't eat them asked for the check and got that quick enough. This ihop is beyond disgusting, we sit down and order our food the tables are sticky and covered in sloppy food from the people before us and nothing ever gets cleaned the bathroom has shit on the floor and when we got our food it had hair in it. I don't know about anybody else but this is enough to shut a restaurant down and even possibility get a lawsuit. You might as well just go eat from a 7/11 because that's the same quality if anything it's even better at the 7/11. Always need an IHOP to eat at and know the food can be great most of the time. This new location n Framingham has been open approximately 5 months and the bathrooms are in deplorable condition. I can't let this go without asking why the owner can't fix the new bathroom. If the customers are destructive of the locks on the doors and the hooks to hang a bag or coat then the owner should hire a consultant to show him how to prevent this problem. Otherwise a new location will become another place to avoid. Please fix, maintain your ladies bathroom. read more

I online ordered a curb side pick up, Upon arrival there is a sign that gives you a number to call once you arrived for your curbside pick up so I did. To which I was then told I had to enter the store if I wish to receive my curbside pick up. I Enter the store and waited, once someone noticed us (seemingly the manager) I told him I was instructed to come inside for my curbside pick up, he apologized and explained that that was not correct and I needed to go wait in my car. My order was supposed to be ready at 1:32, being aware of Covid and all the complications waiting for another 15 minutes for my food did not bother me. We arrived here after a long day at Canobie lake park my wife and I and our 2 children 5 and 10. Asked for water with lemon for all four and coffee we got kids waters and coffee no lemons after 20 minutes. The waiter joe came and took our order we then told him we needed the water with lemon he came back with water and again no lemon. He then brought our food which was horrible the fry's were old and over cooked the burger was burned and the steak and cheese was wicked greasy. We ordered another side of fries which were also cold and old and hard. We finally got our lemons at the end of our meal. Everyone who ate immediately went to the bathroom. The best and most amazing part was that my 5 year old ate his pancake. Which was probably the only thing that was cooked right. Every time we mentioned the food being horrible the waiter would say it's the cooks. He also told us he was new there but we remember him from the last time we were there. While we were eating we could hear a loud commotion going on in the kitchen it sounded like people fighting. I will be calling to speak to a manager in the morning. I would suggest if you do eat here it be the breakfast you come for not the dinner or lunch and definitely not late night. I hope this helped you to decide wether to come here. read more

Great location, polite staff, tasty food and open 24/7 as well as on holidays. Our server told us a few people had called out for the 4th of July at the last minute, and yet our food arrived promptly and was fresh and delicious. It took 5 minutes for someone to realize we'd walked in (no host/hostess at the front), then another 5 minutes or so before anyone to come and take drink orders. And right after, another waitress came by and asked what we'd like--do they not have clear sections? We ordered chocolate milk and OJ. Took 10 minutes. Our pancakes took 20+ minutes on top of that. Pancakes! At IHOP! I had the world's most patient 4 year old with me, because she didn't walk out (I was ready to). Anyway, I don't quite know what to suggest other than some kind of service optimization. Once our order was taken we waited forever and were never spoken to again. First the positive - This is a new IHOP so it is quite clean, including the bathrooms and the staff was friendly. Our waitress took our orders efficiently and the food came out as ordered. This is where the positive ends. First of all they have a Kids Eat Free promotion after 4pm every day. Unfortunately the kids menu is pretty lackluster and all my kids wanted was a stack of pancakes (apparently that's out of the ordinary at a House of Pancakes). The only options were complete breakfasts with eggs, bacon etc so once we modified what they wanted it counted as a side order not a kids breakfast. An obvious ploy to get you to pay for the kids meals anyway. I wouldn't have minded that but the food itself was REALLY bad. My wife had a grilled sandwich that included cheese yet it wasn't even toasted enough to melt the cheese. I tried the Breakfast Crepes and the crepe was rubbery and the eggs inside seemed to have been carved off a block of "scrambled eggs". They were dense and rubbery and the whole thing started to make me queasy after a few bites. The coffee wasn't horrible but wasn't remarkable either. I like that you get an individual thermos but it tasted of nothing. Lastly the cost. For 4 of us - remember two were kids that just got a couple of pancakes each it was $50!!. This is about what we pay at Outback for a 4 course dinner with steak and full meals for the kids. Local diners, which I would STRONGLY favor come in at half this for breakfast and that is freshly cooked options, not microwaved pre-prepared stuff. Ate here this morning and ordered the Egg White Vegetable Omelet. What I got was missing the avocado, and because the spinach wasn't cooked and drained before adding it to the omelet, the whole thing was watery and unappetizing. I had also ordered a glass of V-8, which was supposed to come at the same time as the order, but I had to remind the server to bring it. Wish I could do zero stars. This is the second time in three weeks I've been here after 11:00 pm. The first time they were clearly understaffed, but once I got someone's attention to seat us, our order was taken quickly, and food was served promptly. Our server got a very large tip. Tonight they clearly have enough staff on duty and are not as busy, but it took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come to the table, she took our order shortly after getting our drinks. We then proceeded to wait 40 minutes for our food. Whatever right? Wrong the table on both sides of us(who, may I add, sat 20 minutes after us) got their food at the exact same time as us. She did not deal with the problem at all she just went to the waitress and told her to fix our table.. the waitress then had the audacity to come to the table and say "well you have not been waiting an hour because your food ticket only went in 36 minutes ago." YOUR RIGHT, OUR FOOD ORDER DID ONLY GO IN 36 MINUTES AGO BECAUSE YOU FORGOT TO PUT IT IN. We have been long anticipating this IHOP opening and finally gave it a shot. It was clean and not too busy when we went. The Staff was very nice. The food and coffee were good, but the 45 minute wait for our breakfast was a bit long. That being said, the waitress was apologetic and kind. It was clear that the kitchen is still working on things being newly open. I have no doubt they will find their feet and we will return, often, as we think the food is worth it. Also, the fact it is open 24 hours is a big plus. The only think that truly affected my rating and surprised me was the cost for some pancakes, coffee and hash browns. For 2 people, with tip, it was just over $30. That is steep for what I would expect from the IHOP. Maybe I expected more of a Denny's pricing. read more
