    Strawberry & Cream Crapes

I haven't been to an IHOP for awhile. On our travels it was the perfect destination for us. We were tired, hungry and they were a site for sore eyes. Few guests were there at this hour but we were great with smiles. I had crapes with strawberries and an Oreo shake. Crazy cravings, right? My husband had a delicious spicy egg burrito, side of pan cake and a fresh cup of coffee. Everything hit the spot. We went to bed stuffed.

They only got 1 stars because the food was ok ! We went in at 5:30 am the employee was all outside smoking they only had one other couple eating inside! The inside of this place was so nasty we almost walked right back out but we were tired and hungry and nothing else was open like I said food was ok everything else yuck! Won't be back that's for sure! This place needs a full redo !

Strawberry Cheesecake French Toast....looks better than it tasted.

Ugh! As much as I want to like IHOP, because I love pancakes, I have to come to the realization that my experiences there are never great. The food is always what it is. Nothing special to it and nothing you can't easily make at home with little effort. The waitress was great and the prices weren't terrible but I've accepted the food and will pass on the next one.

By far the worst IHOP I have ever eaten! It smells bad and my eggs were awful! If you want to eat garbage then eat at this IHOP.

The food was so good, especially after driving all day (road tripping across the country to move!) and the service was great!

Okay, so I love Applebee's. I know it's a lame-o place to love, but it's true. I think their food…read moreis really good and I like the casual ambience and the effort each location puts in to having some element of local culture or history inside. As you can imagine, I've visited a lot of different locations! That being said, this is probably the worst experience I've ever had at an Applebee's. We arrived a few minutes before 10pm on a Tuesday. No issues being sat, though why they decided to put a group of five at the biggest table in the restaurant when the building was almost completely empty, I'm not sure. Our server was...fine? She seemed really stressed and a little absent. The result was pretty mediocre service. The whole reason we stopped in was to order half-price appetizers. Where I'm from, apps are half off the menu price after 9pm every night. Here, they have what they call "late night" apps, which is just a marketing scheme to make you think you're going to get your appetizers for half price when you actually have to wait until the last hour that they're open, it's only select appetizers, and they aren't actually half price. This whole duplicitous practice made me so mad that I wanted to leave! However, it was late, we were all tired, and we hadn't eaten, so this was pretty much our only option. We ordered a total of 2 appetizers and 2 drinks (other than water). Margarita - no salt on the rim after specifically requesting it. When it was corrected, it was done by another pissy member of staff, perhaps a manager? Coke - watered down. Didn't bother asking to correct it. Mozzarella sticks - underdone and falling apart when I tried to pick them up. It came with a half-full container of marinara. Boneless wings - ordered at the same time as the mozzarella sticks, came out 10 minutes after. And the cherry on top was an additional charge for marinara. I get two marinara sauces every single time I order mozzarella sticks, which is every time I go to Applebee's. I have NEVER been charged for this. Not to mention the fact that our waitress didn't tell me she was going to upcharge me! That's incredibly bad practice as a server, which I know from experience. Go anywhere else. I'm so serious.

I ordered a steak, and it was decent; I enjoyed my meal. The food was slightly saltier than I preferred, but I topped my steak with the shrimp parm topper, and I believe that's what made it slightly saltier. I ordered my food, and it was ready for pickup within 25 minutes. The restaurant only had a few tables filled, so that most likely explains the quick turnaround. My meal was decent for the price point. I did not have any issues with being overcharged, as some of the previous comments suggested. I was greeted within a minute of walking in, so I really had no issues and no complaints.

The food at this location was fresh and prepared well. Service was excellent as were the creative offerings in the store. We stopped as a party of two. We went on a Saturday evening around 6 PM, which is usually one of the busiest times for Cracker Barrel. To my surprise, there were only about three other couples dining besides us. The atmosphere felt cold and uninviting, nothing like the warm, welcoming feel Cracker Barrel used to have when it was at the top of its game. Our server was extremely slow. We were there for nearly two hours, and I still don't understand why. She only had our table, as another waitress was handling the other customers, yet it took her 20 minutes just to bring a glass of tea. Everything we requested was delayed to the point of frustration. The food itself was a huge disappointment. It was bland, and my grits were cold and clumped together, clearly sitting out all day. Cracker Barrel used to be my favorite restaurant. I've always loved it, but in the last two years it has gone way downhill. This visit was the worst yet, and it honestly breaks my heart to say this.

Unfortunately we were left pretty underwhelmed with the experience. It's not that Woody's is bad, per se, it just isn't...good. The service was great. Our server, Jaclyn, was very attentive and helpful. She didn't hover but she made sure we had what we needed and was nearby if we had questions or requests. Jaclyn recommended the margarita, which is where things started going downhill. My dad ordered a classic lime margarita and didn't take more than a couple drinks of it. We all tried it and agreed it just had a nasty flavor. Sort of like bad white grape juice? It was weird, and of course there's a little asterisk on the menu that notes all alcohol sales as final. We were unimpressed with that but didn't even try to argue the point. Our food came next. It was actually incredibly fast service, especially considering the 30-top that was seated when we arrived, with their orders given to the kitchen right before ours. Everything was hot and fresh, though not all delicious. Here's a run down of my family's reviews of their food: Build-A-Burger w/ Amer. cheese - A bit too thick and tough like the meat had been slightly overworked, but it had a great flavor and was seasoned well. The edges were burnt and it was well done, not medium well. Good beer-battered fries. Spicy Hawaiian chicken sandwich - Very flavorful and tropical but the toppings made the bun soggy and the ratio of filling to bun was way off, even with ham and lettuce removed. Crab cake tower - The fried green tomatoes and sauce were great, as was the corn bean salsa that came with it. The crab cakes were good too, though nothing special. The shrimp on top were juicy and well-seasoned. Wouldn't go back for it though. Korean pork tacos w/ mac & cheese - They were okay. The slaw included was a bit too sour but the pork was juicy and flavorful. The mac & cheese was too bland. Chicken strips & fries - The chicken tenders were cut wrong so they were hard to eat. I had to cut them up with a fork and knife to get bite-sized pieces that I could chew. They had a good flavor but the technique needs some work. The beer-battered fries have a strange seasoning on them that got more unpleasant the more I ate, but everyone else liked them, so that's probably just me. This is one of my least favorite restaurants we've been to on the Gulf Coast, which is unfortunate because I honestly thought I was going to like it a lot! For the price, I don't think this is a great place, especially because it's pretty out of the way from the main drag(s).
