When I lived in the Westbank, I would come here from time to time for meals. The last time Sophia and I stopped here was probably 2 years ago on Christmas Eve during our break. Recently, we came back for breakfast while we were on time. Unfortunately, the result wasn't what we expected. To begin, when we walked inside, the whole restaurant was warm. We did notice fans were on the walls running. Looked like their A/C unit wasn't working. Luckily, it didn't feel totally hot during our stay. We were seated immediately and placed our orders within minutes. I selected the smokehouse combo with hash browns, scrambled eggs and pancakes along with their pumpkin spice cold foam cold brew. The meal could've been better. I did manage to eat a good portion, but it needed some flavor to the dish. The iced coffee was not good at all. I don't think it was mixed well to begin with. After 2-3 sips, I pushed it aside. Sophia didn't care for her dish either. Not sure what happened, but this morning was off. I did appreciate the staff being tentative for us, but the food was underwhelming at best :( read more

Worst EVERYTHING! And I didn't even sit down.. I am at the IHOP on Manhattan. It's 9:42a (2) ppl are at a table looking pissed. The cooks and a waitress are talking loud about the date they had the night before. The (2) guess just walked out. As I stood there waiting for the host, the folds in the back just kept on talking about their date. 5", 10", 20" and NO ONE EVEN CAME TO THE FRONT TO SAY A WORD TO ME. I was very disappointed with the visit to IHOP on Manhattan in Harvey, Louisiana on Wednesday morning 5/12/21/ Upon entering the music on the PA system seemed loud. However we were seated quickly. We ordered our coffee and water while reviewing the menus. As the music changed I thought we were in a sports bar. With no wait persons available. I approached the counter and asked kitchen staff if they could turn down the music. After I sat back down, the music was lowered slightly. Perhaps if this was easy listening it would have been satisfactory. I complained that if the music could not be addressed, we would leave. We were then shown the way to the door. When is time to be lazy, and you don't mind a bit of frozen food cooked to order then IHOP is the place for you. My mom and sister head to IHop every morning they get an hour to their self. This is there hiding ground. They love this place when they go they order everything there. And then my sister gets fed like a one year old, and she's five. IHop is her 5 star restaurant for now. We waked in and the host was stoned and wearing a backpack. Our server began his shift walking in as we did. The stoned man came to our table ten minutes later and took our drink order. Ten minutes after that our server brought us our drinks. He was wearing a cammo jacket and an out of uniform hat. It was really bizarre. The food was great. This morning Temp is 30 degrees please don't put me by the door. Please After an eye roll and a head bob. Well you will have to wait then. Because that is all we have. When I can count 4 tables out of the cold of the open door. It's ok. Just bring m coffee. I need coffee. Oh please let me have coffee. Ten minutes late. I am your waitress I will be back. Waitress pours a gag cup for me and a cup for the mister. Amd walks away. With the coffee in her hand. The half cup lasted no time at all. The food arrive. Now food has safety temps that it should be served at. I am not sure that any of the food on my plate was ever at that temp. Luke warm at best. And the day of the fluffy pancake with butter melting delectably over it. GONE!!!! The pancake now is beyond description when it pulls apart in slices. And the butter doesn't melt butter needs to be spread with a knife like peanut butter. The only redeeming quality about this mornings outing is it is the first lesson learned in the new year. Don't not waste your time with this restaurant. When I arrived I was told my order was given to somebody else and they had to remake it. About 10 mins later I got my food and drove back to my hotel room on base. (20 min drive) I open up my food and realized they gave me the wrong order so I called the store and asked to speak with the manager. After the call being "disconnected" as I called back and the manager answered and told me that mistakes happen and that's what I ordered. This place is horrible... ordered 4 items, they were all wrong. Then, they tasted horrible as well. The bacon tasted old, the sausage was cold, the pancake was sour(not sure how thats possible), the buffalo chicken melt was what was ordered but I received a chicken sandwich.... Bad service the server spoke very low, she dint really know the menu, or dint know how to answer questions we had. Bad environment, all other servers looked mad, and were madly starring. The Food was cold. I was missing shrimp on my order. I'm not sure if the server was new, but it seem like she dint know what was going on. I waited about 45 min for my food when I got home the 2 omelets were overcook the eggs were dry and brown the meat was overcook one of the omelets that I receive had old slices of avocado on it not fresh looking. First I wish I could give 0 star, from the start server looks like she is on some kinda drug . It was 3 of us; we ask for coffee , it took 15mms to come in, we had no creamer, no sugar or honey. When she finally came back she took some leftover creamer from another dirty table. I tried to contain myself, because my family know I can be a B-I-T-C-H. I was holding on. After giving up on finding a decent breakfast place on the Westbank, I decided ihop would suffice for a meal the morning after an epic toga party. Coffee, orange juice, and pancakes.. good enough. I don't think i have been to an ihop in about 5 years, so I was somewhat excited to see the number of choices for pancake toppings and whatnot. The cinnamon ones looked delightful, but also covered in an absurd amount of sugar that would probably cause a diabetic coma. I went with the plain ol' buttermilk. Oh, and since when does ihop not bring out the warm thing of regular pancake syrup? It's now located on the table at room temp with the other flavors. Lame. How is the butter supposed to melt? I actually took the lump of butter and moved it in between two pancakes to make it melty and delicious. Still, no warm syrup was disappointing. They also had run out of salsa for my fiance's omelette that was supposed to come with salsa. He substituted tobasco sauce for the heat and eventually also added ketchup. While he said it was good, I really don't think tobasco + ketchup = salsa. Overall, it's an edible, reasonably priced breakfast. The staff is friendly (they must give them unlimited free coffee during the morning shift to keep them peppy). Especially given the lack of other breakfast options on the Westbank, I'm sure I'll be back numerous times. read more

The service is really top-notch, the employees here seem to work really well together. There were 3 or 4 different folks that checked on us regularly, keeping our drinks full and plenty of napkins on hand. The dining room was clean and comfy. The food was pretty great for me. I had an omelet (Bacon lover's?) with those amazing pancakes and the husband had the smokehouse breakfast. Only complaint was the that smokehouse sausage wasn't very tasty - kinda like a grilled hotdog - but that's the restaurant chain's pick, not a location thing. Advice: If you like grits, get them here. Divine! read more

I usually visit IHOP when there's a promotion, and today's special seemed like a good offer. The women's restroom was clean and the staff was friendly. Our server was exceptionally delightful and helpful. He was attentive and quick. Because of my bad experience with the Gretna ihop, I'm grateful that my experiences and services at this location exceeds the other location. read more
