Very cute tavern I stumbled across after dinner. We decided to have a few cocktails and a few oysters. The dirty martini was phenomenally and my G&T was great, definitely will be dropping a few cardamom in mine at home from now on. The oyster selection was great we had a mix of gulf and east coast! Our service was the best part the bartender was super sweet and I really enjoyed her!!

A friend invited me here after a rehearsal and I was so disappointed I had already eaten. This cool little light spot is such a vibe. We caught the little set up near the door and it was a perfect spot for conversation and eating. Our waitress was attentive and kept our glasses full. Everyone raved over the burger and I can't wait to go back and try it. I did the try the crab claws and they were great: well seasoned and buttery. The drinks were refreshing with the perfect blend of alcohol and mixer. Can't wait to go back with husband.

On a stroll through the charming streets of New Orleans' Garden District, we found our way to Bouligny Tavern, an awesome spot in an elegant mid-century modern building on Magazine Street. Opened in 2010, Bouligny Tavern is named after one of the first Creole plantations in the area. After admiring the historic mansions and lush oak trees on our walk, this spot was the perfect place to grab a drink. The atmosphere is sleek with dim lighting. I was in the mood for an Old Fashioned, and their fig variation was a great change up. Our bartender was equally fantastic--attentive and knowledgeable on bourbons. If you're in the Garden District, check this spot out. We just had a drink but they serve food as well.

I can't say enough good things about this place. We had an amazing experience. The food and drinks were spectacular, and the service was impeccable. Even the delightful manager, Michael, checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I also loved the wall behind the bartender, very cool! This ended up being one of my favorite restaurants from our vacation.

Disappointed with recent visit. A friend had a party and when it was over we wanted to "after party." I can't speak for everyone's behavior however, we've been hosted as a Krewe here previously and many of our members come here often-even if there's no social events going on. We were greeted with hostility and made to feel very unwelcome. After one round, decided to go somewhere friendlier and settling tabs, or even individual drinks was met with the same curt responses and irritation. Being in the industry myself I really tried to give the benefit of the doubt in this situation but it was clear that they didn't want to take care of anyone. In conversations since, the response has been "oh they're known for their sh!tty attitude." Guess we're not the only ones who have experienced this low level of service. Would have preferred to email a manager directly, but no contact info was listed on the website.

Had a very nice dinner here recently. All of the food was delicious, especially the panzanella salad and beef bruschetta. I could have skilled the Gougères only because they were somewhat plain compared to everything else. We got to sit on the front porch which was perfect with the heat lamp next to us. Would definitely come back next time I'm in New Orleans.

I visited this bar for a nightcap. Located on historic Magazine St. gives it a gold star in my book. The bar is quaint, cozy and intimate. It lends itself to engaging conversations and a relaxing evening. Until next time!

Took an Uber there, as that's probably the best strategy for visiting anything in the Marigny or Bywater neighborhoods. Basically, it's an eclectic old house with a cool backyard dining area with the kinds of chairs you remember from elementary school. Local guitarist was playing a set for diners that afternoon on the stage. Front of the house full of different wines and the guy behind the counter was nice enough to suggest a good pairing with what we ordered to eat. My grilled pork chop with balsamic reduction was excellent. The perfect cut for such a dish. My wife loved her orechiette pasta and appetizer plate of olives. The white wine suggested to us was cold and refreshing. Everything matched well and the umbrella tables were clutch in the sun and heat of early summer. Hope to make it back for my next vacay

Dive bar vibe is the feels. String lights, old creaky floors, big bay window, lots of outdoor seats, plenty of bar for us all! Total NOLA vibe! Bartenders were cool. I asked the guy behind the what he recommended. Instantly he said "the mussels". You don't have to say another word, bruh. I had the mussels for my meal, obviously. Wow. They were perfect. The sauce was amazing, not sure what the white shit was, don't partake in that mess. The mussels were expertly cooked and seemed really fresh. The hand cut fries were also really good. I loved this meal and this joint! If I were local, I'd be a regular for sure. Get your ass in here if you can. I would advise getting the mussels. 100% '26 - 95

The Vintage - New Orleans, LA…read more The Vintage on Magazine Street was our very first food stop in New Orleans, and it turned out to be a great way for my wife and me to start our trip. From the moment we walked in, I really liked the atmosphere. The place has a cool, relaxed New Orleans vibe with a little bit of an upscale café feel without being overly fancy. It's the kind of spot where you can come in, sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and just take your time. Of course, we couldn't come to New Orleans and not start things off with beignets! We decided to go with the Fancy Beignet Flight, which gave us a chance to try several different flavors. We got the raspberry, s'mores, and Chantilly. They came out looking almost too good to eat, covered in powdered sugar with all the different fillings and toppings. Almost... because we definitely ate them! They were warm, sweet, messy in the best possible way, and a fun introduction to our New Orleans food adventure. For my meal, I ordered the Italian Panini with the truffle Parmesan fries. The sandwich was packed with meat, cheese, and flavor. Looking at that cross-section, they definitely weren't being stingy with the fillings! The bread was toasted nicely, and everything worked well together. The truffle fries were another highlight. They had plenty of seasoning and Parmesan and paired perfectly with the sandwich. I also grabbed a small iced mocha, which went really well with the food and especially the beignets. One thing I really enjoyed about The Vintage was the atmosphere. The interior has a lot of character, from the marble tables and vintage-style flooring to the bar and pastry display. It feels like a place that belongs on Magazine Street. It was comfortable enough that we didn't feel rushed and could just enjoy being in New Orleans together. The service was good during our visit, and everything came together for a really enjoyable first meal in the city. Our bill came to around $48 after tax and tip for the two of us, and considering we had a sandwich, upgraded fries, drinks, and the beignet flight, I thought it was a good experience for the money. Most importantly, this place gave my wife and me a great start to our New Orleans trip. When your first stop includes a loaded Italian panini, truffle Parmesan fries, iced coffee, and a whole flight of beignets, you know the trip is starting off right! Definitely a place I would visit again. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great first taste of New Orleans. 5 stars from us!

Still a New Orleans Gem - Visitor since 2018!…read more I'm updating my review as of April 2026 because it's important for visitors to know that The Vintage has absolutely "still got it." My last review was in 2020, and I'm happy to report that the quality and atmosphere remain top notch. Whether you are looking for a morning pick up or an evening wind-down, this spot covers all the bases. Their beignets and coffee are a classic must have, and I can personally vouch for their Americano. It is consistently well made and delicious. They also have a great selection of beer and cocktails if you're looking for something a bit stronger. What really sets this place apart, though, is the hospitality. We have always had great interactions with the staff, but a special shout out goes to Jimmy, whom we met this past week. He was incredibly kind and hospitable, truly making us feel right at home. Jimmy if you are reading this, THANK YOU!! If you want a spot that feels authentic, welcoming, and consistently excellent, put The Vintage at the top of your list!
