Don't go! I have gone to this establishment for years. The food arrives warm (at best) and quickly becomes cold. Also, after my last visit, the food made me sick. Today my daughter, granddaughter and I went to IHOP on Old York Rd in Jenkintown after being out for a hike. We checked in, agreed to a 25 minute wait in the car and then seated. I ordered hot tea, blueberry pancakes with the compote on the side and bacon. My daughter and granddaughter also ordered breakfast. The waitress brought coffee and seemed surprised when I asked again for tea. My daughter ( a former IHOP manager) insisted we were waiting so long because of the pandemic circumstances. 50 minutes later my blueberry pancakes arrived with whipped cream and powder sugar on top. No compote. No bacon. The waitresses second tripped brought my granddaughters food then she was gone. I scrapped the sugar off the top of my pancakes and waited for the waitress to return. She did not. I found the pancakes too dry to eat plain so I went up front to request butter, syrup. The waitress brought a plate with syrup, salt & pepper and ketchup. My daughter had eaten all but one piece of bacon when her bone dry toast finally hit the table. Im surprised IHOP doesn't have butter. I wonder if my bacon is ready yet?? As soon as my family walked in the door you can smell the carpet needed shampooing. The table was sticky so we had to ask for another wipe down. The hash brown we received was so hard and burnt I can't believe the waitress brought it to the table or that the cook sent it out.! We arrived at this location around 3 in the morning. There aren't many options at this time and breakfast sounded appealing. The hostess seated us right away and was very pleasant. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive. The food arrived promptly. I ordered the pancake combo with scrambled eggs and hash browns and everything tasted delicious. There are few times you walk into an IHOP and know you made a mistake. This is one of them. If the smell of grease and dirty carpets doesn't turn you off the minute you walk in then the food service will. The plate I got was greasy to the touch. My eggs were supposed to be over easy and they were well done. They server seemed to have little to no knowledge of the menu. The washrooms had a putrid smell and all I was hoping from the minute I got in was how quickly I could leave. I was having issues ordering online, so I contacted the Jenkintown location today at 8:50pm and spoke to a manager. When I called the first time I tried to order over the phone but was told I couldn't. When called the second time it was to understand how to order my food correctly, since you can't make any changes on your website. For example I always order the breakfast samplers. In my samplers I like fried onions in my hash browns, American cheese on my eggs and cheese cake pancakes. The only change I can make on your website ordering to give me all of that is to the eggs. I can't have my hash browns or pancakes I want online and can't order over the phone. The manager said she has nothing to do with the website, while also telling me I can't place my order over the phone. She said to order online then call the store to change the order but only if it's not too much of a upgrade. So I asked what is considered too much of a upgrade? She couldn't tell me. All she said was if it's too much they won't do it. If I have to pay for all my upgrades, what is the problem? If I was able to order what I want online I wouldn't need to have all this calling back and forth. Worst experience ever at any restaurant. I have a sick child and didn't have the ability to dine in or to have to go to the restaurant order and have to wait for the food to be ready. I won't even get into the attitude she had. read more

I don't usually do reviews, but this particular day I need to. We had to wait a half hr to be seated. You could clearly see there were many empty booth seats ready to seat. When the hostess, Ja-Coya seated us, I asked her could we sit in another booth on the other side of restaurant. She told me no because it's for 5 or more people, in which we had 4. Right after that she seated 2 other groups of people. One group has 2 plus a baby and the other group had 2 people. This really pissed me off. Then they got their food before us. Don't get some of the negatives with this particular IHOP, as I always found them to be the best of the remaining IHOP's left in the Philly, Bucks, and suburban locations. Still the best for pancake lovers, and coffee is decent. Over-sized omelets, large french toast, (try the stuffed, yum) all the meats you like, I've never left this place hungry after breakfast that is for sure! The servers have always been pleasant and courteous, and this place always seemed clean to me. Parking is a little cramped and difficult when busy, and yea, they aren't the cheapest around, but again, they give you a lot of food for the money. Some other local IHOP's have closed over the years, hopefully this IHOP will stick around as I will surely miss it when it's not around anymore! read more

Was out of town and noticed a familiar name. Was pleasantly surprised. I went on a busy time on Sunday. Matthew, our server, went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of.
