The absolute worst experience ever with a IHOP and I see a common theme here with other reviews. We arrived and waited at the front desk and no one was there. Another couple came in, grabbed their silverware and went to their table. We went around the corner. Maybe there was something that we missed only to be told that we needed to wait until we could be seated we stood there and waited. Another two more couples came in and literally were escorted to their table and then they told us that we would need to wait a few minutes for the staff to get caught up, we were literally in front of three other parties so we abandoned and left. What a shame to have such a piece of crap restaurant in such a beautiful area. read more

Walked in with 6 people, only 2 tables seated, waited 5-10 minutes to be greeted after having a server out front on the computer, never acknowledged us and walked away and then were told it was a 15-20 minute wait. Needless to say we turned around and left. read more

I arrived and there was no one in the waiting area. I was told to wait 5-10 minutes for my party of three. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes. When I asked the front desk how much longer it would be, she said 5 more minutes. After some additional time passed, they finally called my name. By then, there were many people waiting at the entrance. I noticed that once we were seated, they began seating other parties as well. When my waitress arrived, I let her know that we were in a bit of a time crunch. I told her we were ready to order and would like to have to go boxes since we would likely eat and then head out shortly after. About a minute later, the manager approached me and told me that I had to go to the front to place my order. I explained that I had already informed the waitress that we wanted to eat there but would need to go boxes because we were short on time and wouldn't be able to stay long. We had already waited a significant amount of time, and if this was an issue, the waitress should have clarified that from the beginning. All I wanted was to take my mom and grandma out for Valentine's Day. I'm very disappointed with how this situation was handled. read more

Friendly service and clean bathroom. The nashville chicken tender wafffle wasnt that tasty, but the chicken w waffles wasnt bad. The pancakes were good but the tres leche pancake was toooo sweet. The fav part of the iHop at this location is the little convenience store that sold candies and lil PA souvenirs, with stickers and stuff. When we arrived, it was pretty much empty. We stood there for quite a few minutes, and a lady said someone would be right with us. FINALLY, someone came to us and said there would be an additional 15-minute wait. She said six of us would put undue stress on the staff, so we would need to wait. I looked in the restaurant and just looked at her, undue stress?? It was pretty much empty but OK. I said you do have a gluten-free menu, right, she said no we did away with it, but we can get you a protein menu. I can not have wheat due to medical issues, but ok. We left and went elsewhere. We eat at IHOP at home frequently, and it is always amazing. This one took me off guard lol read more

Let's start off by saying the host was polite. However, they told us it was a 5 minute wait, and there were many tables getting up. After 25 minutes, I asked the host if he could find out what is going on and he came back and said the kitchen is behind. There were empty tables all over the place and the manager was calling people to the kitchen to get their food, instead of actually going out to help. I have to say i was very surprised and satisfied with the sirloin tips and the food was hot when it reached the table , one waitress managing tables in the back and the register in the front . Outgoing orders were moving along . The atmosphere was pleasant , clean and other customers were friendly and all satisfied with their meals as-well. Ok I went here yesterday and the day before with 9 other people and I was disappointed. The food did not taste good. When I went here on Sunday I got a watermelonnade splasher and it was disgusting and the pineapple splasher did not taste good. The waiter was weird and stupid. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious. The young woman who seated and served us was polite, professional, friendly, and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and we were starving having been on the road for several hours. Was concerned when we saw some of the reviews but decided to take a chance and were rewarded for it. we came for breakfast after staying at the hotel next door. it was a bigger party with adults & children. the host looked annoyed that she had to put a table together. while waiting some of us were already there and we were waiting for more people to come. host wouldnt sit us until everyone came & we didnt want to wait to get our orders in because the kids were hungry. so the people there had to get a seperate table and wasnt allowed to sit with the rest of our family by adding tables. i understand there's a certain system but they were barely busy and were very rude about it. the best service there came from the waitress she was so nice. read more

Just left the brand new IHOP here in Sterling township just off I-84 exit 17! Awesome Was an old diner and now it is a brand new beautiful IHOP Restaurant. got to the restaurant at 10:30 told it would be a 10 minute wait we were finally seated neatly 45 minutes later. BTW the restaurant was not busy and I watched as people left and tables sat dirty as our party and at least 4 other parties waited. when we sat down we were greeted by a very pleasant waitress who took our order. 35 minutes later we finally got our food. My over easy eggs were cooked over hard. my hash browns were burned and my sausage links were cooked until they were dried out. My Pancakes however were good. all in all we got there at 10:30, was seated at 11:25, got our food at 12: 06 and left at 12:40. the manager was rude to her staff and to us . do not go to this IHop. read more

So off to IHOP we went. I had the Spicy Poblano Omelette with Avocados and he had the Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns, and Chicken Fried Steak. We should have known it was going to be horrible the minute we walked in. I have mobility issues so the hostess sat us at a table the furthest away from the hostess station as possible. Sat there for at least 5 minutes before the waiter took our coffee and tea order, sat there forever, I had to ask the waiter for our order, still waited another several minutes. Then the hostess brings over one set of utensils, there were two of us. Supposedly clean fork had dried egg on it. Waiter annoyed that I asked for clean utensils, practically tossed them on the table. My over medium eggs came out as sort of scrambled, don't know what that mess was called. Pancakes dry, dry, dry! Sorry I went to this new IHOP. Went here hoping my experience would be a good one. I ordered a hamburger with french fries. They really weren't busy. The help standing around. 7 pm on a Sunday. Lots of room and the friendliest waitress I've seen in a while. Sure there are a couple bugs to work out but for a second day from opening you couldn't ask for better. Big place , constuctive criticism. #1 more than 4 handicapped spots needed. #2 A little better cooked eggs over medium( too runny). #3 make sure the utensils are cleaned of water stains( the looked dirty and we had to polish ourselves to make sure). I went to this IHOP expecting amazing customer service like the rest of the chain, but that quickly changed. They said the wait was 25 minutes so I looked over at the bar and asked if we could sit there, the lady says yes so we sit. After about 5 minutes a separate lady comes over and says you guys still have to wait 25 minutes until we even take your order, but, you can still look the menu. At this point we've already received menus and silverware. So what I don't get is why would we be seated without them telling us about the order wait, but then later after we're all settled, then they say something. Crepes used to be good, now inedible. The chicken and waffles looked like someone dumped hot wings on top of the waffles. Too expensive and horrible, had to toss it. Will never go back. Not the employee's fault! Corporate needs to get their act together. read more

This place is so so so strange. Service is slow, it took a while just to get our drinks, but the food was quick to come out which was weird. Their water is strange here, it doesn't taste good and might even be slightly more viscous than regular water. Even the teas and fountain sodas taste strange, i don't know if it's an issue with the water line or whatever, but it's kinda gross and has always been like this. The food here is usually pretty good, but there's always at least ONE thing wrong. They always forget our sides of pancakes, a drink, syrup, my over easy egg wasn't cooked all the way through, etc. The food is tasty but there's gotta be like. Something wrong with it. The restaurant itself is nothing crazy, a run of the mill IHOP, it's kinda cozy in a weird way. The food is not bad but I don't know if I'd recommend it. read more

This is a great go-to place to stop and eat, super convenient off I-84 if you are traveling to or from the lake region to Scranton or Dickson City. The food is always prepared hot, fresh and delicious, without a long wait at all. Breakfast is off the hook delicious with a ton of variety; today I changed it up and had a classic burger and it was vey good. And it came with sides (including pancakes!) - so my morning breakfast tomorrow will be a snap. Service is always good, with a particular shoutout to AJ who is always friendly and attentive.
