We tried this place out and have to be honest. Doesn't cut it. Grandma pizza - NG. I get it, I am in Pa, but you have to be able to understand what a pizza is all about, come to Brooklyn, NY and get a taste. We were there around 4 pm. The place was empty, yet we waited close to an hour for the food. Oh boy, I'm sorry to say this but the food was awful. I ordered shrimp francese , it was terrible. The ambience??? There's none, it looks more like a cafeteria. It's just too bad there aren't any good restaurants around here so we settle. read more

The takeout service at this restaurant is atrocious. They do not get orders right, made my wife wait while part of the order was made, and then when the other part got stone cold, they made her wait again to re-make her food. Stay away! read more

Our Server was Ruby she was friendly and efficient my wife ordered Penne and Chicken with Broccoli ,also included was a house salad, Italian Bread the pasta which was enough to feed three adults she stated her meal was wonderful. I ordered a cheese Steak wrap which was finished in the oven. Cheese melted, steak was thin and chopped L&T absolutely delicious FF were batter dipped and served piping hot! meals were plated on heavy kitchen wear which held the heat until the meal was finished. The price was equal to the quality of our food. Very nice, Clean and friendly ps the Cake portions are enough for two to enjoy! We will return. Stop in and try for yourself! read more

We came here with the place recommended to us... but it did nothing but disappoint. We ordered a chicken parm hero and the seafood scampi. The hero was anything but heroic.... And the scampi was just inedible. No flavor, no sauce on noodles, and the seafood was bland. We sent the scampi back and got a slice of pizza instead. Only to be met with a soggy bottom. read more

Stopped for lunch on our way home from Lake Wallenpaupack. Walking in the place had that great fresh cooked Woodfire pizza smell. Service was great. We had wraps and subs which were all very good. The bread used for their subs had a nice crunch and was very fresh. We had chicken cutlet , red roasted pepper, mozzarella, and balsamic hero along with a few chicken wraps and a meatball sub all are very good. Went there last weekend. Called ahead for take out. When my husband went to get it he was promised it was coming out. It took a LEAST 30 minutes after being lied to about the food being ready to have the manager come and start the order. My husband saw many people standing around the kitchen doing nothing. Wings were very dissapointing. They tasted like old chicken that had been frozen more than once. Cheesesteak was soggy. If we ever return to that spot we will AVOID Palermo's. read more

Let me start by saying, I love Palermos. I love the staff, the owner, the food and the atmosphere. When they are empty it's amazing. When it's half full or more...it's not great. The last 5 times we've gone it's either taken over an hour to get a simple dish. It's taken over 30 minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink and to get a menu. Last night we walked in and the patio was about 30% full so we asked if we can sit on the patio. Before even being greeted she said "oh, it's full and going to take a while before we can seat you." There were exactly 8 open tables when I went out and counted. (7pm) So...we stood there at the register waiting for her to come back and after she passed us 6 times and waited 12 minutes...we walked out. Went to Drafts which was 2X as busy but we were greeted, told it would be a 20 minute wait. Eventually found 2 seats at the bar and had a great meal. Palermo's needs to do a better job with honest communication with their guests. If you're short staffed...tell people. Don't leave them hanging. I don't think we will be going back. It's just never a good experience in terms of the wait, the time to get served, or the communication. read more

I've tried the pizza and chicken parm hero and both were not good. Now this was when they first opened for business and I've heard they changed cooks so I guess I'm gonna have to try again. Few places around here deliver, so we really.. really wanted to like Palermos. We have ordered different dinners from them now four times hoping to find something we liked and would order again. All disappointments but tonight was horrible an d unedible. Tonight we ordered delivery from them and was told 45minutes. An hour and a half later we get the delivery and everything is burnt. The Sicilian pizza is so badly burnt the cheese is rock hard and black. Out pizza rolls are dark, and we could not get the burnt taste out of out mouths. How do you let that go out the door? We tossed all of it and ended going out to dinner late at 8:30pm which was what we were trying to avoid by ordering delivery 2 hours before.. Convenience is not worth it. Have yet to have a good meal from them. Gave them four tries and tried different menu items..and we are done. read more

We had a very nice waitress but that was about it. We had wings....it was like a mix of tomato sauce and buffalo sauce, very different. I wasn't a fan but someone else may be. They were also tiny. After eating the wings it took over an hour to get any type of food. We were told it'll be right out, then we were told the kitchen staff is backed up because of to-go orders, and told kitchen staff sucks. Either way, if you're going to own a restaurant you need a good kitchen staff. I would hate to be in the waitresses shoes because they probably don't get good tips because of the lack of help in the kitchen. Anyways, after an hour a different waitress told us our food would be out soon and that the burgers are ready and sitting under the lamp. Sorry, but to know my food is sitting under the food lamp/heater doesn't make me feel good. Two minutes they bring out the two burgers but no one else's food. My burger was cremated! At that point we payed for the wings and seltzer and left. read more

The one good thing I will say is we were able to walk in with a very large party on a Saturday evening. But the service was terrible. The food took forever and there was a 45 min gap between the first persons entree coming out and the last entree arriving. They also got two of the orders wrong and did not apologize once. When my friend asked for the correct order the waitress snapped well you'll have to wait for it and we had already waited an hour for it. Also the food was not good on top of it all. read more

A wonderful Italian restaurant in Lake Ariel. Try the Palermo tower, a massive serving of veal, chicken and eggplant parm. Great wings, fresh bread and pasta. We had a wonderful server named Jaime who was terrific and attentive. Great atmosphere and they have live entertainment on the weekends. Tonite was Jeff Selear, great voice and music. We have been to great Italian restaurants in New York and Boston and this place can proudly stand alongside them! read more

Our dinner got off to a rough start when we came on a weeknight where about a 1/4 of the restaurant had customers, and waiting almost 15 minutes for someone to come to our table and give us menus, take drink orders, etc. Once someone did show up, we ordered a pizza for my wife and I to split, plus a couple drinks. The pizza was good, not great, and the service was hit and miss throughout. Probably won't be back. read more

Fantastic pizza, especially since they've started doing wood fired pizzas on the weekend. It can be a bit slow on Friday and Saturday nights, their estimated time for when your order will be ready is usually off. During bc the week however it's spot on and relatively quick. The few times I've gone in and sat down I haven't been terribly impressed with the service but the food is still great. read more

I only starting ordering from this place because Rolly's Pizza in Lakeville closed. We would usually have the food delivered. Every time we ordered the order was messed up and it wasn't 1 thing, it was the entire order. I ordered a prosciutto and fresh mozzarella hero and there was 1 piece of prosciutto on each half of the hero. The hero is like $14.00 and all they gave me was 2 slices. That was the final straw for me because I am so done with this place. read more
