Just ate a great breakfast. Their chicken fried steak had little to no fat and was extremely tender. I wasn't expecting it to the THAT juicy but I had a great cut of steak. Pancakes are on point fluffy as ever. My grandfather got the mushroom omelette and it was gigantic! I couldn't believe the girth of this omelette! There must have been 5 eggs in it at least. Bit of a wait due to capped capacity and social distancing but that isn't their fault they have to follow the rules. Can't wait to come back to Lake Ariel to have breakfast again! read more

Waitress took our drink and meal order all at the same time and we waited 45 minutes and never received our food. Several people who were seated after us received their food while we still waited. To note there was just two of us and we had placed a small order of breakfast items. Once the waitress took our initial order she never returned to our table and after 45 minutes elapsed since we had placed our order my wife was getting up to leave and the general manager came by and said there was a problem with a ticket getting lost (apparently our order) in the kitchen and our food would be several more minutes. We did not have to time to wait any longer and said we just wanted to leave. The general manager walked away without saying anything and we waited a few more minutes before leaving. To be clear the restaurant was not busy as people were waking in and being seated immediately. If the waitress had checked on us or our food at least once within a 45 minutes period she would have known there was a problem but she didn't. It was apparent to us that the restaurant is very poorly run and has service and kitchen employee issues. For example the table sitting next to us said they did not receive all the food they ordered. We usually enjoy the food and service at other IHOP locations but this Newfoundland Location is not one of them and they obviously need new leadership there. read more

This place is hit or miss. I was there a few weeks ago for breakfast. Ordered a "build you own" omette. My bill was 23 & change! I have some veggies and cheese in it with a side of fruit. No hash browns, meat or toast. I complained to the manager so he brought it down to 15$ which is still a lot for what I got. Will never go again read more

What happened over the course of the last year since I was here??. This visit was a disaster. First our omlettes came out burned, so we sent them back. Then 15 minutes later (after the rest of our party had finished their meals) they had the fall to bring out those same omlettes again, just with the burned meat topping scrapped off. The cheese on the omelette had congealed, as these were the same burned omelettes served to us for a second time. Upon complaining the extremely kind waitress (and the only reason this isn't a one star review) seemed genuinely upset and got the manager. The manager offered me the amazing deal of not charging me for the food I didn't get to eat! How amazing! We used to go there when it was twin rocks first Time Eating IHOP. Not very impressed with the waitress Moved slow a lot of eye rolling. I already knew what I wanted just waiting for her to come back over so I could order. my Meal either came with toast or pancakes but when I ordered I forgot to say which one I wanted but also she didn't even say do you want pancakes or toast with it. ( I wanted toast ) When all three of our meals came out Everything was cold it wasn't hot like they just made it. It was like already sitting there to be plated I was not happy . And I work in the kitchen not there , being an expediter for a kitchen you know how the stuff should come out you know what your customers want and you want to make sure the food is perfect especially spending how much there Plus we did leave a good tip still because I believe in tipping but I was not happy with her attitude even towards other customers that were there. She was a little mean. And when they serve the food for how much money you spend on each plate they didn't give you a good portion they gave you a small portion but that was my experience some people might have better experience but mine was not that great definitely will not be back. We were staying at the hotel next door and ordered take out from iHop. The two turkey dinners included two sides each and either a salad or pancakes. We chose one salad and one order of pancakes. We we got there, they said the cook made two orders of pancakes by mistake and asked if we wanted the extra order for free. We said okay. Except that when we got back to our room, they weren't free because there was no salad. Then one of the dinners had the wrong sides -- potatoes instead of broccoli. And there was no gravy on either dinner. Apparently mistakes in orders was no rarity, because another customer was joking with the waitress about it when we picked up. read more

We decided to try this new IHOP when we were antiquing up in the Poconos the other day. After our last IHOP experience in Wilkes Barre we were a little hesitant (it was bad) but glad we went here. We heard they are very busy on the weekends so we went on a Thursday instead. Party of 4, did not have to wait @ 11:30am. Plenty of parking. Beautiful place, as IHOPs go, very clean and the staff was very friendly. This one looks a little different as they have a little store inside that sells gift items and snacks and also has a 'old school' cofffee counter with TVs to watch. Server - forgot his name - was nice and attentive to us the whole time, food orders were quick and hot. We had, pancakes (of course), that huge spicy omelette, a great burger, and the cheesesteak sandwich. All good! Forgot to takes any pictures, sorry, new at this review thing. We will go back soon and do full breakfast on the weekend when the newness wears off. Thanks IHOP! We recommend this location. read more

We were staying in Lake Arial Pa for an evening. I took the family to dinner and later on that evening they were hungry. I saw the IHOP from the hotel parking lot. I called and ordered curbside pickup. Everything was perfect. The person who took our order on the phone was Quinn. When I arrived Quinn came out to the car and introduced himself. He made sure we received all the condiments we asked for and was very polite. Thank you IHOP and thank you Quinn for making our stay in Lake Arial, PA a nice visit. read more

Totally incapable of checking people in. This review isn't even based on the food because we never made it to that point. The staff at the front can not work the check in process. We were told "10,15,20,25 minutes" for our wait. After 30 minutes and seeing another group the same size as our party that came in after us be seated, we questioned the staff about our wait time. My buddy & I stopped in at 8am this morning & the service was SLOW & there was only 2 other tables before us. The pancakes were COLD in the middle ( makes me think they come in frozen & they get microwaved to warm them up on the stove ). I asked for banana & strawberries on my pancakes & told no bananas. The strawberries were also COLD I had 2 cups of hot tea & asked for a 3rd cup with a 3 tea bag & was told there would be additional chrg for the 3rd cup of tea if I get a 3rd tea bag. I was NOT a happy customer. I don't think I'll be returning for breakfast. I'll try lunch or dinner sometime but not breakfast. read more

We were there over an hour and a half for a "quick" breakfast. Of the four adults in our party, two orders were wrong and mine was totally forgotten. Asked servers twice and was told it was coming out. When it finally did come it was not anywhere near what I ordered. I finally said forget about it and had them take it off the check. Manager didn't seem to care - he never even came near our table, even though the server said she had him change the bill. We will NEVER go back. read more

I was super excited to see an ihop opening near me. They did a great job on the renovations. My only complaints pertain to the temp of the food. Food is often warm or cool. I imagine there are just not enough runners but this time we definitely sent back the food. When it came back out it was piping hot. Tuesday Feb. 4, 2020 visit ... this was the WORST restaurant experience EVER!!! Our orders were taken at 5:35pm and our food did not arrive until 6:05pm. My Philly Cheesesteak Burger was ICE COLD ... burger was lukewarm at best, the cheese was melted but ice cold and the peppers and onions were half frozen with ice particles on them!!!! This tells me that my burger was cooked LONG before they threw the frozen veggies on it. I told our server I did not want my meal and she called the floor manager over .. she stood as far away from me as possible and now everyone else heard my complaint. She offered to bring me another burger and I declined. My husband ate his dinner and then we left. It was very obvious that my burger was assembled rather quickly and then left unattended until my husband's meal was ready to be served. This IHOP has only been open for a month and already they need another lesson in food prep. My meal was unacceptable and you have lost a customer. I'll go to McDonalds before I ever return to IHOP. read more
