We came the night of December 25th. It was busy... but we were still seated and did not wait too long. I wanted a burger... SAD FACE... they were out... OF BURGERS.... and out of the chicken omelette... so I got the steak omelette instead. Loved the omelette. These are usually very stuffed and delicious. My wife got the appetizer combo with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. The chicken fingers were a little bit darker than they should have been, but my wife still ate them. Here's a plus. They were supposedly out of honey mustard, and that's what my wife uses for the chicken fingers. My friend and I decided to hit up IHOP for breakfast while enjoying our spring break. We were expecting a nice, relaxing breakfast, but instead, we left feeling ripped off. I ordered pancakes and decided to add bananas because, you know, bananas and pancakes go great together. What I didn't expect was to be served just four tiny slices--not even half a banana. When I asked about the price, I was shocked to hear it was an extra $2 for those four sad slices. That's outrageous! For that price, I could've bought an entire bunch of bananas elsewhere. The fact that they're charging that much for something so small feels like a total scam. Honestly, it ruined the experience for me. Next time, I'll gladly drive all the way to Davenport instead of wasting my money here. Definitely not coming back. UPDATE: The manager, Summer, did step in and provide me with more bananas while also explaining the pricing and portion sizes. So I decided to eat herewith my daughter and husband this afternoon and the waiter with a stiff wig from the moment I walked in had a nasty attitude. My food was left in the back to "remake" and came back out extra cold. I went to ask the waiter for some water she had a stank attitude and told me she "was alone" and brushed me off. By the time she even came to take the order for DRINK we were already in there 20 minutes. She then told me I needed to wait for my bill and I HAD TO PAY FOR THE COLD PLATE. I would like to start outby saying that we have 6 to 10 people every Wedneday night after church. We have always had great service, and for the most the food has been great BUT... we find it very disappointing that you have 1 waitress and 1 cook that is responsible for the restaurant, when you have 7 booths filled and at least 2 people if not more at a time that is alot for 2 people . Tonight we watched several walk out because of the wait to be seated. The waitress Brianna was super and was doing her best to make everyone happy but its not her fault you feel like you can't hire more people to work. She was seating, taking orders, delivering, cashing out , clearing tables and both of them were washing dishes. Come on now Lake Wales do better. This is your typical chain restaurant. They're pretty efficient with quick seating and a quick plate of food. Service is friendly but good luck getting anything not standard, ie hot sauce! The food is a bit salty and even the plate was super greasy. Half of the creamers in the bowl were emptied onto the two remaining creamers but they did replenish when asked. read more

Frequented this restaurant over the last couple days while on business. The first day I came in by myself and had a late lunch after a long day of travel. The service was adequate and the food was decent; my waitress was nice enough but it took her longer than I initially expected to take my order after I was seated, when there were very few patrons in the restaurant. The next day I came for dinner with 4 other fellow truckers and we were greeted and seated right away. I had the same waitress as before who gave good service as before, but the food portion size was inadequate for the price paid for the dinner. The beef tips and macaroni and cheese portions were way too small for a robust eater like myself and I didn't feel satisfied when I left. Overall, it was not a bad dining experience but I felt that the food was not a good bargain for what I purchased due to the small portion size of my meal. I will probably choose a different restaurant near my hotel accommodations for the next few days while I'm here for training. read more

It was as though they scraped the bottom of what was left in the pan slivers of dried out meat. Some crispy and overcooked. I couldn't eat it. Neither could my husband and he's not picky. I wasn't going to say anything about the meat to Brianna (the server) . But when I asked her how to get my free offer of coin pancakes she couldn't and would not help figure it out. I then told her bad the roast was. No offer to give me a more appetizing portion. We had a hard time getting our drinks refilled. Drizzle that on a lightly buttered pancake and your in heaven. I think this is the only reasonably I can't resist IHOP. My wife ordered two by two by two. Two eggs over medium, two slices of turkey bacon and hash browns, along with a cup of fruit. When the order came it had pancakes on her plate. She is gluten sensitive, so she told the server she did not order the pancakes. The server argued with her over the pancakes. This most recent visit we waiting 12 minutes before we heard them asking who had table 23 and after a few more minutes we still hadn't been offered a drink or been greeted. The guy that seated us certainly didn't greet us. So we left. We know what IHOP is, and we're know it's not fine dining. However, we do expect to be able to order a drink in under 15 minutes when there are only 3 other tables with guests in the whole place and multiple servers wandering around.
