For an owner who shows support for Trump I am shocked that as a handicapped senior I was treated as if I was bothering her by asking a question about your menu. Sorry I had surgery that makes it difficult to read and hear. She made it very clear she couldn't be bothered. She was obnoxious, I think as a woman this is the first time it has cut me deeply and I have put up with a great deal of obnoxious degrading behavior. Congratulation she won the prize. . I could go on but the damage is done!

We found the relatively large restaurant mostly full when we arrived. There were multiple rooms with a full bar on one side with lots of people having a great time and lots of great food in a place that still felt homey and cozy with a water skiing cow and Statue of Liberty. My wife came for the Crab Leg Special that included 2 lbs of crab at significantly cheaper prices than other restaurants in the area. The crab was fresh and cracked easily and pulled easily like it should. As good as it gets in central Florida. I opted for the larger Low Country Seafood Boil that also included the Crab Legs and added Prawns, Corn, Uncle John Sausage and Potatoes. The prawns were huge and I chose the Old Bay Seasoning versus Garlic Butter and another boil seasoning option. At market price, it was still reasonably priced and tasted great. Our lovely waitress was very attentive and insisted we save room for dessert. We were so glad we did as we shared the most wonderful Crooked Apple Pie Ala Mode. The spiced apples were cooked in a crispy Fried Tortilla Bowl, covered with Vanilla Ice cream and topped with Caramel Sauce and Cinnamon. As good as it gets. They also have an Orange Creamsicle Cake, Key Lime Pie, Cheese Cake and Peanut Butter Pie that are all made in house. As we left, live music started. This is an iconic place that must be experienced when in Polk County and we look forward to eating here again soon.

We arrived a bit after 5 pm, too late to take advantage of early bird food specials but in time for happy hour (which ends at 6). This gave us 2-for-1 pricing on draft beer and house wine. We were seated immediately. By the time we left (around 6:30) there was a wait. We ordered drinks, and these and rolls were delivered with cinnamon butter and pats of plain butter. I ordered the Tuesday special, grouper "fingers," salad (soup is also a choice), and a sweet potato. My husband had linguine with chicken. Our server, Carmen, offered cinnamon butter for my sweet potato. Salad is tossed and plated at the table. It arrived well ahead of the entrées. We had the house-made ranch dressing. Overall, it was a pretty bland salad, mostly iceberg lettuce. The grouper was wonderful, lightly breaded and the perfect crispness. The portion of 3 filets was more than adequate. A small tub of Ken's tartar sauce was included. The cinnamon butter and sweet potato made an excellent combination and a great foil for the grouper. Everything was piping hot when it arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to order this combination again. My husband enjoyed his linguine. Given it was about an hour between when we were seated and when the entrées arrived, we thought the pace was rather slow. But the quality and quantity of food made up for it in my opinion.

Not a bad choice! The food is always decent and the service is friendly! The portions are plentiful…read morealso.

AFTER BASEBALL GAME ADVENTURE IN LAKE WALES!!!…read more We were looking for a place near my son's college and we found Tasty Wings and Ramen. How/Where? On YELP OF COURSE!!! We got to the store and they had many options to choose from. We got the Lemon pepper sauced wings 10ct. with fries, 1 Spicy Ramen, 1 Reg Ramen and 1 Beef Yakisoba to start. Everything was Yummy and enjoyed by all. The wings were cooked well and the sauce was on point. Both Ramens Spicy Beef and Pork were both flavorful and delicious. The Shrimp & beef Yakisoba Combo was flavorful, but the Shrimp was overcooked and I do wish they had a steak option. The beef was just ok. Steak is always better in my opinion. Beef is just the cheaper alternative and has a longer lifespan compared to Steak. I hadn't eaten all day, so I got some pork dumplings. From the reviews I read on YELP the donuts were the thing to try. So, I got an order of those for the table. The pork dumplings were fried, but only on one side. We like both sides with a bit of pan crusted flavor, but they were still YUMMY!!! The DONUTS OMG, they were so warm and delicious I am so glad we tried them. Donuts will definitely be a have to get every-time we come to Tasty Wings & and Ramen. They were that good!!! The service was acceptable, but a little more happiness in the customer service & knowledge of the menu wouldn't hurt. The second register person when I purchased the dumplings and donuts was a little better. The decor and ambiance were pretty basic with painted walls and basic furniture. Not really a huge space less than 10 tables. The Food to Value was decent, but the portion size of the Yakisoba could have been more. The Ramen's were on par with other places similar. The wings combo was a bit pricey, but the wings were delicious so they are worth the cost. Next time we are in the area we would definitely eat here again!!! AS ALWAYS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

I love trying a new place for breakfast and these folks had been around for a few months so off I went. A note about hours- In this part of Central Fl there are lots of Snowbirds. Restaurants adjust to the demand or lack of it by changing their hours seasonally. You have been warned! Atmosphere- 95% of folks who walk in are going to say, "Oh, this used to be an IHOP!" It's that distinctive. So, there is not much fancy atmosphere but it's nice and clean. Customer Service- Absolutely nothing to complain about! I was seated within seconds and had my first coffee and a menu within a minute. My server was great the entire time, Food- Yup, your standard American breakfast menu with all the usual stuff nicely presented. I ordered the Meatlovers Omelet with Hash Browns and a Biscuit. Along with the coffee it cost me about $10 which is completely normal. It was great. Plenty of real butter was served with the warm biscuit and my coffee was refilled as needed. Like I said, no surprises. If you are blowing through Polk County and need a quick breakfast, these folks will get the job done!

There were several attentive staff. However, the flatware was flimsy, cheap, plastic and the atmosphere felt a bit industrial. I had the steak and salmon entree. There was a lot of rice, which wasn't bad and the vegetables were okay, but over cooked. I never received the salad. The "steak" was tough and chewy and there simply wasn't very much of it. The yum sauce was watery and barely stayed on the small pieces of meat. The salmon was, I have to say, horrible. It was way overcooked, it was paper thin, cardboard dry and it was such a small portion, if there were two ounces I was lucky. It was the worst example of salmon I think I've ever been served. It was thrown half heartedly on top of the vegetables and, even soaked in teriyaki sauce, which it was, it was difficult to eat. I stopped for dinner on my way home to West Palm Beach from Tampa. I wasn't looking for a Michelin starred experience, but I was hoping for a nice dinner break during a long drive. I was disappointed.
