I forgot to take a photo my food. We had to wait to be seated and the kitchen was backed up. By the time we got our food we were hungry. Our server was on it! My food was delicious. They serve Pepsi products which my husband loves.

Our waitress was Micki and she was very personable and attentive to our needs. We had a group of four and the food came out in a timely manner. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table because they were busy in the evening. I find that is a good sign when trying a new local restaurant. The decor was eclectic with Elvis, '59 Cadillac couch, Blues Brothers, and license plates hung up on the walls. The rolls and cinnamon butter were fresh and tasty. The salad was crisp and good. The coconut shrimp was nicely fried with a tangy sauce. My sweet potato was buttery and good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak pieces and baked potato. Our friends also enjoyed their steak dinners. We were all too full for dessert. I would definitely come back if I am ever in this part of Florida again.

The filets were really perfect. The service was good. The salad was okay. The fresh bread was super good. Next time I will ask for no cinnamon butter on the sweet potato or bread. It's a ton of sugar. Butter would be much better.

    Not Manny's!!!

Also, pay attention to how clean this place feels. It starts at the front door Hard to believe they're still in business

we saw an ad for this place has fajitas on Wednesday night buy one get one free. We checked in around 6 PM they said it would be a 15 minute wait it actually was only 10 until we were seated and the waitress was standing waiting to take our drink order as soon as we were seated. They were absolutely packed with people but our drinks were served very promptly and at that time a basket of fresh to die for rolls with regular whipped butter and cinnamon butter were put on the table and then we were ready to order. We ordered fajitas which took about 10 minutes to arrive at the table smelling very much part of fajitas. Grilled chicken, onions and all the normal sides of cheese, pico, sour cream and 8 warm tortillas were all looking amazing. we were very pleased with the experience and the food was great the manager stopped by the table to ask how everything was going you don't find everywhere but it is a very nice touch we will definitely be back again for their steaks that are in the steak cooler when you walk in they look very tempting!!!!!!

Not bad...not great. Service was great. Our waitress was Jeanie...very nice & capable of our large group. good pina colada...we had an array of appetizers...best one out of the onion rings, loaded fries, mozzarella sticks, nuclear shrimp, the best was the shrimp though it coukd have been hotter. The French onion soup was good...would have preferred bread into of hard not soft soaked croutons...but the flavor was there. I ordered a ribeye & garlic mashed potato & it was perfectly cooked medium rare but flavor was lacking in the sautéed mushrooms and on.Overall decent food but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

We arrived a bit after 5 pm, too late to take advantage of early bird food specials but in time for happy hour (which ends at 6). This gave us 2-for-1 pricing on draft beer and house wine. We were seated immediately. By the time we left (around 6:30) there was a wait. We ordered drinks, and these and rolls were delivered with cinnamon butter and pats of plain butter. I ordered the Tuesday special, grouper "fingers," salad (soup is also a choice), and a sweet potato. My husband had linguine with chicken. Our server, Carmen, offered cinnamon butter for my sweet potato. Salad is tossed and plated at the table. It arrived well ahead of the entrées. We had the house-made ranch dressing. Overall, it was a pretty bland salad, mostly iceberg lettuce. The grouper was wonderful, lightly breaded and the perfect crispness. The portion of 3 filets was more than adequate. A small tub of Ken's tartar sauce was included. The cinnamon butter and sweet potato made an excellent combination and a great foil for the grouper. Everything was piping hot when it arrived. I wouldn't hesitate to order this combination again. My husband enjoyed his linguine. Given it was about an hour between when we were seated and when the entrées arrived, we thought the pace was rather slow. But the quality and quantity of food made up for it in my opinion.

They were steadily busy throughout the evening so a wait is possible if you were to arrive at peak time. The setting is casual and in an old house- hence the name. We shared the onion loaf to start and had a variety of dishes around the table from steak, lobster tails, grouper, scallops, and the multitude of accompaniments. Everything was cooked beautifully! Especially the scallops. That was probably my favorite since they melted like butter in the mouth. I also enjoyed the hush puppies that were served with every main dish. Bonus points for the fact that many of the dressings and sauces are made in house. Since it was an occasion, we had some chocolate cake for dessert which didn't disappoint. The cake was rich and fudgy. My dad is a regular so I am definitely sold. The man is a critic and if he is impressed, I know something must be good! All the mentioned seafood items on the plate were perfectly broiled, all of which you could tell were fresh (including the crab legs, which were plump and moist). The salad was okay, as was the interesting fried spinach. The better half had the shrimp & grits as her entree. She enjoyed and commented about how much shrimp there was atop the "grits" on her plate. I tasted it and it was okay to me. The wait service was above standard, with an attentive yet not annoying waitress. Overall I/we would eat here again; and with those $5 Old Fashions might have to make it an every 4 to 6 week ritual. The…read moreoverall vibe was chaotic, hot, humid, and sub-par cleanliness with profanity-laced dollar bills stapled all over. Florida! I'm certain the condiment bottles in scattered baskets never get cleaned. I never leave poor reviews, but potential guests must be warned of this place. My elderly aunt and I arrived at 4:10pm after driving an hour to this place for a late lunch. It was Father's Day, so the place was packed and busy. So busy, that the wait staff were frantically running around the place. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a young hostess who looked as if she were in a total daze. We were told there would be a wait, though an approximate time was not given, so we decided to saddle up to the bar outside which was filthy with wet coasters and squeezed lime wedges and trash littered all over the floor. When we were finally texted that our table was ready, at 4:50pm, we were sat outside at a table with a dirty ashtray. We placed our order and waited for another 30 minutes for a two salads and bread (served with "butter", which was really an oily margarine with herbs). Only one salad made it to the table, and the fried pickles were brought 10 minutes before my salad was served with nervous laughter by our waitress. The manager did come to our table to apologize for our waiting, so I politely requested a free beer for our trouble, which was denied. I work at a brewery and give free draft beer if someone has to wait more than 5 minutes! So, she offered a cheesecake instead, which we thanked her for (and which costs their business more than a free draft pour, but I digress). Another 25 minutes pass, which places us at 5:45pm, over 1.5 hours past our arrival. The food finally comes to the table. I placed two orders for hushpuppies, but only one order made it to the table. They were not very good at all. My aunt ordered shrimp with cocktail sauce, but it wasn't cocktail sauce. It was salsa! The waitress explained to us that seating had recently been expanded, but the kitchen staff had not, which was more than obvious. In the end, our food was comped 100%, but the poor experience really ruined our appetite, so we didn't finish our food. While we did have some beers and a cocktail, at no point were we offered water, and the free cheesecake the polite yet condescending manager offered never made it to the table. They didn't have the good sense to tell folks at the door that the wait time was closer to an hour, completely overwhelming themselves instead of taking care of the large parties that were already dining. Gators aren't the only thing to beware of at Cherry Pocket!

The service was exceptional by our waitress (I wish we could recall her name). A solo musician played mellow music and had good vocals. Very relaxing atmosphere. All the food ordered was tasty and abundant. The highlight was the Grouper sandwich the better half raved about, even the day after she was talking about it. The meals came with a tasty brown bread and house salad, which was a nice addition. The drinks were not watered down and well made, at a price point that was quite acceptable. We all look forward to returning; but it may need to another Saturday if that's when they have the A-Team working.

Awful! We live in the area and come often.. we sat at 7.. took 20 minutes for server to even get to…read morethe table.. we received our food at 9! That's right 9! We ordered 3 burgers (2 med, 1 well done, the well done being for a child) and 2 tunas.. all 3 burgers came out wrong (wrong temp and wrong toppings, one burger had wire brushing in it, which owner argued, saying there's no way) tuna was ice cold, and not seared cold, like fridge cold (which again owner argued saying there's is no way) . Server was great and apologized over and over ( which she should not be apologizing she's not the one in the kitchen) owner (female) finally came to the table, asked us how our dinner was. When we expressed how it was, she began to argue with us, saying there is no way that things were wrong. At one point addressing the server as if she was the one who made our food. At this point, we had enough and knew it was not going anywhere! The owner did take off 1 burger and 1 tuna.. which was appreciated. After being talked down too, we all expressed at the table, that we would rather just pay our bill and leave! Not one time were we rude, disrespectful or mean in any way to be spoken to the way she spoke to us. Absolutely wild experience! We truly love this place.. but this has definitely set a tone. Edit... Her response says it all! Facial expressions were because we were absolutely appalled at the fact that she was arguing about our experience! While ahi tuna is supposed to have a cool center the fish was ICE COLD.. FRIDGE TEMP FROM TOP TO CENTER! When asked to take it back to heat it.. it was microwaved.. which then turned it gray.. but once returned that pink center was cool, not FRIDGE COLD! The wire brush was in the burger.. she argued with us stating it was a hair from the onion(which burger was supposed to have no onion) .. even though you could perfectly see it was a copper wire of some sort! Mind you it was found at the end of the burger. The reason we didn't take the offer of new food, is because we were done.. 2 hours to get our food, and they waited till the absolute end, to approach our table! By that point we had eaten what we could and she was speaking to us by this point like we were awful people.. WHY WOULD WE STAY ANOTHER HOUR! Especially after being talked to like she was! We couldn't get a word in! So as you can tell about her response from here, you can only imagine her response in real time!!! Horrible display of an owner!

She let us pick off both options. We ordered the pirate one which is BBQ choices and we got some of the sea dog options for the seafood side. So sweet. We first got our bread. It was good. Tasted like a yeast bread. Came oiled and with sweet butter. It also came with a salad as well for the table which had cheese, tomatoes onion and greens. The salad dressing was light and sweet. The main food came. It came with ribs, flank steak, pulled pork, brisket, beans, string beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, sausage, and shrimp. 3 sauces came with it, regular bbq, mango bbq and mustard. The mango bbq had real mango in it. Now, preface by saying I understand this isn't a 5 star Michelin chef meal and I wasn't expecting much. However, this was actually very good. The steak was very good. Not dry. The brisket was good. The ribs were good not dry. The pulled pork was dry. The salmon was good, The shrimp was good, Sausage was good, the string beans were ok, the macaroni was very heavy but good and the mashed potatoes were good. Overall I was very impressed. Then for dessert came our chocolate chip covered ice cream with heath bar bits. So very fattening.
