What fun décor this place has! You can come here and just stare at the walls and other decor for entertainment. We went on a Wednesday night only to learn they have a buy one/get one deal on Fajitas. Oddly enough, I had just been talking about how I hadn't had fajitas in a while so I gave them a go. My son didn't want them, so since they were buy one/get one, I took the other in a to-go container in case we got hungry later. What a great deal! They were decent fajitas. Be sure to ask for salsa since it doesn't come with it and jalapenos if you like them. My son had the prime rib and it had good flavor, but a little too much fat. The really good part is the rolls...warm and they come with cinnamon butter...yummy! The salad they make in front of you is really good with delicious dressing. And for you sweet tea lovers, the tea is pretty good too. Our server was Bambi and she was very friendly. All the servers seem to be super busy in there, so you may have to wait a bit on refills and such. There are clean restrooms and the parking lot is more than ample, but it's really dark in the evening so be careful when traveling alone. Note: I don't like it when the check comes with tip suggestions on it. I find it to be unjust. Moreover, I find it to be a tad outrageous when said tip suggestions include the tax. In fairness, right on their check is states, "Tip percentages are based on the check price after taxes". But why? The tip should be based on the subtotal before taxes and any discounts if applicable. Not to mention...the thing that always matters the most is service and the food...and that can go either way (up or down from the norm and/or baseline of 15%). For a Saturday afternoon, the wait was only 20 minutes. The waitress was attentive and quick. The food was delicious. I ordered the Parmesan garlic wings, they were delicious and pretty decent sized. Our waitress was Micki and she was very personable and attentive to our needs. We had a group of four and the food came out in a timely manner. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table because they were busy in the evening. I find that is a good sign when trying a new local restaurant. The decor was eclectic with Elvis, '59 Cadillac couch, Blues Brothers, and license plates hung up on the walls. The rolls and cinnamon butter were fresh and tasty. The salad was crisp and good. The coconut shrimp was nicely fried with a tangy sauce. My sweet potato was buttery and good. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his steak pieces and baked potato. We've been to Mannys Chophouse many times to multiple locations. The food is always excellent and the service is Aubrey. Everyone is always friendly. We went the day after Valentine's Day because we don't like the crowds and there was no wait for two of us. The salad was great. I had a 14 oz 'ew York strip which was seasoned great and so tender. we saw an ad for this place has fajitas on Wednesday night buy one get one free. We checked in around 6 PM they said it would be a 15 minute wait it actually was only 10 until we were seated and the waitress was standing waiting to take our drink order as soon as we were seated. They were absolutely packed with people but our drinks were served very promptly and at that time a basket of fresh to die for rolls with regular whipped butter and cinnamon butter were put on the table and then we were ready to order. We ordered fajitas which took about 10 minutes to arrive at the table smelling very much part of fajitas. Grilled chicken,onions and all the normal sides of cheese,pico, sour cream and 8 warm tortillas were all looking amazing. we were very pleased with the experience and the food was great the manager stopped by the table to ask how everything was going you don't find everywhere but it is a very nice touch we will definitely be back again for their steaks that are in the steak cooler when you walk in they look very tempting!!!!!! read more

We had dinner on a Saturday night, arrived at 4:15. The place had a lot of people, by 5:15 there was a long line of people waiting to get in. I had the salad which was fabulous but in the future I will order on the side, they give you a lot. My husband hit the French onion soup and he said it was good. Both ordered Filet Mignon with baked potatoes. The potatoes were great the steaks were good. I have yet to fine the quality beef that we had in Texas. We had a great experience. Went just after they opened and had no wait. When we left there were people waiting to be seated. Our food came out piping hot. The salad was tasty but if you don't like Ranch Dressing don't ask for it to be put on. The best are the rolls. They were soft and melted in your mouth plus add in the unique cinnamon butter and you are in heaven. The give you nice portion sizes. Best rolls at a restaurant I had in long time. So i've gone here a handful of times, each time there's been dirty cups, dirty plates, dirty silverware, to the point where i've had to send back a glass of water because there was a large chunk of something on the inside of the glass as well as a fruit fly in a soda. The whole restaurant is extremely dirty, it's an older building don't get me wrong i get that but the dishes and silverware having left over food on them is a little much. I thought the place would have more of a steakhouse feel but it was surprisingly casual. There was a bar, booths or tables as choices for seating. We got a booth. Happy hour was good. 2 for 1 16oz drafts at $4 was a great deal. Like most places though they are brought to the table at the same time. I ordered a small filet with a baked potato. I ordered the steak medium. It was more like medium rare. I also got grilled onions. The onions seemed more like they were steamed. Not a lot of seasoning going on here but the steak was tender. Food was good! 2 had salmon, 1 had ribeye and I had flounder. The ribeye was a little tough but still good. You can have all the salad you want. Rolls were delicious! Lots of hype around this spot in this sleepy town. Arrived mid swing into a very busy "Early-Bird" special 4-6pm. Lots of parking with easy access in and out of the parking lot. Greeted with a smile and seated immediately. Great dinner menu with many options from fish, chicken to steaks and MORE steaks! Bar menu was less than I'd hoped for but shouldn't have expected anything more than Jack Daniels or Crown for top shelf choices. Dinner came with a choice of house salad and two sides. We came into Manny's Original Chophouse on a Wednesday night and were nicely greeted by John who sat us right away. This place has a cool vibe on the inside, someplace you'd want to go as visitors. It took a few minutes to get someone to take our drink order as it appeared she also had all the bar area patrons to attend to. Her name was Maddy and she was friendly so already bonus points in my book. We ordered the coconut shrimp as an appetizer which was fantastic! I ordered the baked shrimp stuffed w shrimp and crab "au gratin" and my husband ordered the porterhouse, both w broccoli for sides. The au gratin tasted like moistened white sandwich bread w a few small pieces of shrimp or imitation crab meat in it. Not good at all. The shrimp that the au gratin was on, tasted really good, though. My husband loved the porterhouse he ordered and it was cooked to his liking. The chocolate cake for dessert was very good!I will comment that what appeared to be a few "regulars" where at the bar having drinks. They were yelling and screaming profanities at the kids on TV playing in the LLWS, and were allowed to continue doing so. Order the Porterhouse! Delicious! Us and another couple decided to go here for there 2-1 special. I ended up going against the grain and ordered the Porterhouse. Best choice for me. If you don't have a big appetite, you could easily split this even with decent appetite's. You get crayons with your beers, and that presented its own fun! I wish there was a zero rating for this restaurant! There were ants crawling on the table. I took videos. I ordered the lamb chops at $26.99 and they came extremely salty. My boyfriend took a bite and was also shocked. I sent it back and they just washed them and sent them back to me. They were still salty. I tried to order another meal but the manager insisted I reorder the lamb. It did come out better. However, they did not send my side back out. So, I was short a side.
