Biscuit gravy, hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausage

Great bargain meal! Fluffy biscuit, buttered and grilled, with 2 crispy bacon, 2 link sausages, and 2 eggs any style. Clean dining area, with spacious seating. Polite, prompt service with frequent check ins. This will be my new fave. Checkin out those crepes next time!

The early morning service was great. The food was hot and delish and we didn't have to wait long for it to be served. My only complaint was the bacon. It was not fresh and it was not crispy...otherwise a good dining experience. The bathroom was clean and the store was clean overall.

I had a taste for pancakes and I heard this place had a makeover so I'm here to see the improvements. When I came in two years ago the food had to be taken back a few times before it was cook correctly, so I didn't my expectations weren't high. My hot chocolate wasn't that chocolatey, probably because most of it was on the side, nonetheless it was still good just gotta work on the presentation. My husband ordered the splash berry drink and it was surprisingly very good, great mixture! We decided to share the chicken fajita omelette and ordered 3 pancakes to pair it with. The omelette was jam packed with chicken and topped with it as well. Everything was cooked to perfection vegetables, omelette, and chicken. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and tasted great as always. I always get original because you can never go wrong with them.

Worst dining experience in Lawrence and sadly after saying how bad the food was we got attitude from the manager. IHOP is basic diner food, it's never amazing but it's at least reliable and you know what you're getting. The last few times at this location have sadly been anything but that. I should know better to order a TBone steak from a chain establishment but my dumb a** did and the result was horrible. They claimed to have cooked it on a griddle but it legit looked gray and boiled. I complained, got attitude and was offered nothing in return. The young lady on the phone asked me "what do you want me to do about it" with a sassy tone. Avoid this ihop

The ant in our salt shaker.

We came to IHOP for breakfast on July 4th, 2019. Our server was very in attentive and the worst thing was finding a bug that seems to be an ant in the salt shaker. I'm always leery of eating at IHOP because I've heard stories. When I told our waitress, that there was a bug in our salt shaker, I nicely asked if I could get another one, she told me, "that's just pepper, but okay." That really irritated me, customers always right for one, two I know what I seen and she didn't even look to see what was in it she immediately said it was just a piece of pepper. Shitty service and food per usual, won't be coming back to the Lawrence location, that's for sure!

Ihop is always a treat. I eat there regularly. I can rely on quality food, quick service and friendly staff. Once they paid for my meal because they thought they had cleared my table without my permission (I had gone to the bathroom). I didn't even have to ask for the comp. I enjoy this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and not too noisy.

Half order blueberry crepes combo. Mighty tasty.

It adds a really playful, seasonal touch without feeling overdone. What really made the visit stand out, though, was the service. Our waitress was fantastic--super friendly, attentive without hovering, and offered great suggestions that we actually ended up loving. Tip: Get a basket of French fries for the table! Overall, it's one of those spots that works for just about anything--family outings, catching a game, bigger group gatherings, or even a more low-key, intimate meal. Since I've been in Lawrence (which is about 10 years now which is so nuts) this has been Merchants. I love Merchants. It's consistently (to me) a top 3 restaurant on Mass St. The food is high quality. The service is high quality. The chefs table is a vibe (idk if they still have it but they did a few years ago). Anyway, the duck and dumplings was so comforting. It was the perfect ratio of duck to dumpling to vegetable to broth. The bison burger always slaps and the fries are so yummy. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside -- a cozy mix of rustic and modern that creates a really inviting atmosphere. Service started a little slow, though our waitress became more attentive once she came by. We mentioned it was our first visit, so I was a bit surprised there wasn't much guidance on the menu or any recommendations. At one point I asked about the two kinds of fries (I love fries!), and the explanation was simply that they were "fancy fries," without much detail on flavors or differences. We started with drinks and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. The sprouts were actually very good, with a nice balance in the sauce, and both the wine and sangria were refreshing. Unfortunately, dinner is where things went downhill. Our meals -- a steak and a gluten-free chicken sandwich -- took about 45 minutes to arrive, which felt long for relatively simple dishes. I had asked about the gluten-free bun since they can sometimes be dry, but didn't receive much insight beyond "it's gluten free," and sadly it was indeed very dry. The chicken itself lacked flavor, though the goat cheese cilantro sauce helped make it somewhat enjoyable. The fries looked homemade and delicious but arrived cold. The steak was cooked as requested, but it didn't have much flavor beyond the mushrooms on top. The broccoli side was tasty, and the potatoes were good, though it on a bed of Some kind of cheese sauce that wasn't quite to our liking. Overall, the space and gluten-free availability were promising, and the appetizers and drinks were enjoyable, but the food execution and service details didn't quite meet expectations for us this visit.

They had some green Cholula; thar made a huge difference. Also ordered the French toast, which was a four out of five. Amazing meal! The vegan hash was also three out of five, and the same with the biscuits and gravy. The bigger issue was that the drinks were ordered at the same time as the meal. It took over 43 minutes after the drinks came for the meal to show up. The wait staff apologized for the long wait, but that was just way too long to wait for a meal. We were just about to pay for the drinks and leave when the food actually came to the table. The ambience of the place has a nice hometown feel to it, but the turnaround time on meals was entirely too long. I wanted to try some more things out of the pastry case, but because of the long wait, I had to get back on my way. If I ever did stop back by, I'd have the French toast again, but I definitely tried some of the other things in the pastry case that looked rather delicious.
