The parking lot is ample, and the greeters are always there to greet you and sit you pretty quickly. This particular occasion - our waitress was amazing! Wish I could have remembered her name but she was great! We set over a different side so the ambiance was even better. Our food - was very mediocre! I guess the cook was tired because everything tasted really bland and not like we usually get. In addition, it took a long time to get our check and this was because their credit card machines were down. I had to keep it stored inside. The bathroom was a mess. In each stall, there was no or a little bit of toilet paper and seat covers. There was trash on the floor, and the bathroom itself was missing the "fresh, I should be disinfectant smell." I washed my hands, and mosied my way out of there. My family sat down and waited for our church family. The kids ordered their food, while my husband and I waited the 10 minutes for our church family to get there. When they arrived, we finished placing our orders. The kids got the endless pancakes with sausage, bacon and eggs. I got the bacon omelet, hubby got the pancakes with bacon, sausage and eggs. The omelet was good. It could have been a bit more moist, but it was good. It had enough bacon in there to let you know that it was a bacon omelet. Nobody got time for scantly, sparse placed bacon. This IHOP is typically booming (crowded) during your typical (8am-12pm) Saturday and Sunday breakfast hours. It's in a great location (depending on your origin) on highway 124 in between Discount Tire Company and Culvers. This location is also surprisingly clean; with an inspection score of 96 to boot. Tables and booths are generally clean with your occasional crumb in the seat here and there. Just ask for an extra napkin to usher them to the floor if you spot some. Staff is welcoming and willing to accomodate. From getting that perfect seating to fixing those eggs just how you like it. Not sure if all servers are as accommodating, but on our visit, Alysia was. We arrived at 8:04. There was two tables in the restaurant. We were sat right away! That was the last thing that was positive. We sat there for 20 minutes before we were greeted by the same person who sat us. She had an attitude towards us the whole time while we were there. The food came out within what I would consider appropriate for the amount of customers they had in the restaurant, so that was good. It seems that most of the other reviewers had a terrible server, so I will consider ourselves very fortunate. However, I do not understand how people complain about bacon being salty, after all, the majority of pork bacon is cured in a brine, so of course it is extremely high in sodium, which is why people who are concerned with hypertension should avoid it, or switch to the alternative, turkey bacon that is uncured. I've had good and bad experiences here. Once the food was taking forever and when it arrived some orders were wrong and there was a hair in my cousins food. The waitress was very apologetic but her supervisor seemed keen on trying to say they were super busy and it was a very small hair.... Nonetheless, he apologized and brought out another salad and gave us a huge discount with free meals for the ones that had to be redone. I came here on National Pancake day with a group of friends - what a hectic experience! Despite the crowd, however, our party of five was seated within fifteen minutes, which was pretty nice (although our host was very rude and didn't talk to or look at us as he seated us). National Pancake day offers a stack of free Buttermilk pancakes, but since I don't like Buttermilk pancakes from any restaurant (just not my taste), I decided to order the Chocolate Chocolate Chip stack (chocolate batter with chocolate chips). Ironically, I tend not to be a huge chocolate person. However, these pancakes were great. The only downside was the portion size - I wish it came with two instead of four. I couldn't finish it all and went into a guilty chocolate-induced coma (not really, just an expression). Service here was adequate, but the server frequently forgot about things we had asked to receive, whether it be silverware, refills, or extra toppings. This has been a recurring trend over the times that I have visited this location. Not a huge deal because the service is almost always polite; it just isn't always efficient. Also, this establishment tends not to be 100% clean. It is not filthy, but it is evident that the bussing staff slacks off. Tables are frequently wet when we are seated and there is always an excess of crumbs around the general area. I know things can't be perfect, but how come I don't notice things like this at other restaurants? Also, we specifically asked our waitress to separate the checks, but she informed us that she could not... Umm, may I ask why not? Isn't separating checks a valid request? The place was packed, we did have to wait a bit for the food, but it was hot when brought to the table by a very attentive and efficient server. There was one rude person raising hell with the manager, yelling and basically causing a big scene. Ended it parking at the front and called the store, as noted in the instructions that were emailed for curbside, to let them know I was outside and to bring the order. A lady answered and said they don't do that and the food is on a table inside. She stated that I have to come inside and pick it up. This would not be an issue if were normal times; but the purpose of curbside is to avoid going inside and avoid contact as much as possible. Knowing that I would loose my money again, I had to go inside their store to get my order. No staff wearing mask, served walked outside smoking/vapping.
