Poor service. We were seated for at least 10 minutes and no one came to wait on us. There wasn't that many patrons. Most of the staff was sitting down. They didn't even acknowledge us at all. It has been awhile since we have been to IHOP and had hot food, good coffee, and pleasant service. ThIs IHOP got 5 Stars on all three and we only came here because Denny's closed down - we would normally just drive by due too less than 1 star in all areas. We are pleasantly surprised! Had a very late brunch - chicken omelette w/hashbrowns on the side & pancakes. After almost eating my pancakes, I find hair in the remains....yes it's very small, but still it was there...on my plate. It appeared to be from a mustache. The manager gladly "comped" my check in which I'm thankful. We walked in around 8 am. The dining area was mostly empty. 3 customers ahead of us were seated immediately. We asked to have a female server because we always get better service from women. The hostess said " excuse me" and asked me to repeat my request. I repeatedly explained to her that we wanted a female server finally pointing to a female server and I said " like her". She gave a confused look and said that she can not discriminate and said there would be a 20 minute wait for our request. This location has messed up my order twice and when I came back for the supposed "replacement meal" the manager did not actually write my name down for the free meal. The manager that is here now is trying to pass the buck and no one will take responsibility for the mistake. The manager on duty has now suggested that I come back a 3rd time tomorrow morning to speak to that same manager that was supposed to put my name down. I went here and ordered a 5.99 waffle: extra crispy and a 1.99 tiny side of 2 pecies of extra crispy bacon. Then the waffle came out almost undercooked when I asked for it extra crispy. My milk was also not refilled for 3 quarters of the visit even tough it was sitting with the lid leaned out of the cup. As someone who's seen what covid can do I have been super hesitant to leave the house. I was happily surprised to find out that Ihop offered curbside service. I ordered on ihop.com and was able to select curbside. I pulled up to the designated spot and scanned the QR code. Within minutes an employee came out and handed me my order. It was that EASY!! Sooooooo, I usually love IHOP for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but this trip on Christmas day was terrible. Thought they appeared to be fully staffed, the service was terrible. Five peolle in out party, but only 3 beverages came back with our drink order. Then, they brought 3 of the 5 orders incorrectly and we had to ask 3 times for missing items. My omlette ended up being cold by the time they brought the missing items. The manager offered yo warm it up (I am assuming to microwave it) and I told her that I waited too ling and it probably would take a long time before I get ut back. Okay so im a here in there regular, never much of a problem eating there. Today's service at this location completely let us down, to begin with we repeatedly said our orders and we received the wrong pancakes. On top of that our food did not come out for a good 30-40 min, received the wrong pancakes, those were taken back but brought back because they couldn't figure out how to make the lucky charm pancakes and cap n crunch ones they were promoting. We ordered shakes too(the ones they were promoting as well) and the waiter kept telling us sorry that they're new to making them and dont know how to do them. This location only gets the 2 stars because it is very clean and the food was not bad. The waitstaff is at best clueless. We ordered soup in addition to our meals and had to ask for it when it became apparent they were going to bring it out WITH our meal instead of first. That was a small inconvenience. We were asked if any condiments were needed when we placed the order. I seriously did not know I needed to order butter and syrup as we had ordered pancakes for my grandson. When it became obvious none was coming I asked a passing waiter if he would please get it for us. When I realized he was not getting it but rather hanging at the register with our waitress I was furious. The final insult was asking for our check and it never came. We walked to the register to pay and the manager clearly knew there was an issue. He seemed to be braced to defend his team and rather than apologize the the issues (not all listed above - not worth it) he stood stock still and took my payment. As an empty nester with a fair amount of disposal able income I like to take the grandkids out to a variety of different eateries. This one will just be off the list. Me and my family go often to this Ihop instead of the one on 78, which is actually a bit nearer to us. It is nicer, more organizer, staff is better, etc. Hardly ever is the food wrong and if it is they fix it. We usually avoid the super busy times of Saturday and Sunday breakfast, but we have been patrons for years. read more
