We stopped at IHOP today for lunch, we had a good idea of what we had in store. They are consistent, they are clean and I can't ever recall receiving poor service here. The restaurant is never busy, you get seated quickly and the menu is varied enough that everyone should find something they like. I don't have any complaints, they are exactly what you expect every time. The menu has meals starting at $6 up to $15-$16. But I shy away from giving five stars because it is so predictable. The portion sizes are fair, the prices are fair, the service is friendly. That's good enough for me any day. You won't be pleasantly or unpleasantly surprised, you will leave satisfied. We stopped by this IHOP yesterday after leaving a work site, and our visit was a bit of a mixed bag. I ordered the Spicy Poblano Omelette, and the omelette itself was really good. However, the avocado on top was brown (as shown in the photo). I just cut the bad part off and kept eating, but fresh avocado would've made a big difference. My girlfriend ordered the Strawberry Crêpes, and she really didn't enjoy them. She said the strawberries and sauce tasted freezer-burnt, and the crêpes themselves were doughy, flavorless, and not sweet at all. She felt like it was a waste of money. My friends ordered pancakes and liked them -- which is expected at a breakfast place. If a place can't make pancakes right, it wouldn't last long, but these were solid. Our server was okay -- not rude, just not attentive. He kept walking by without checking in, and we had to flag him down whenever we needed anything. The biggest issue was refills: we were extremely thirsty from working all day, finished our drinks early, and didn't get a refill until the very end when we were basically ready to leave. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean, and the food that was good was really good -- it just wasn't consistent. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience, but between the brown avocado, poor crêpes, and slow drink refills, it wasn't the best either. I went today at 3 a.m. in the morning because I wanted something sweet to drink. Usually my go to is a drink at McDonald's on Pimlico because it seems like that is the only place taking drive thru orders up until 3 a.m. I have had their app mess up an order and because McDonald's always charges first; one has to go through their credit card (cc) company to dispute it. And now I am going off on a tangent.... Anyway, I decided not to go to McDonald's and instead, I remembered Maple Syrup Pepsi and on my mobile phone I located the IHOP at this location as being open. We waited 20 minutes for a seat for our party of 3, there were a good number of empty tables, but I can deal with that. I know sometimes they don't have the staff. Then when we were sat. It took about ten minutes to be acknowledged and we ordered. 30 minutes later our appetizer came out cold. 30 minutes after that our food still did not come out. Our kid was frustrated, tables around us were not getting service or food. Many were sitting at dirty tables waiting for the check with all their food finished for over 15 minutes. This IHOP is UNHINGED. Waited 1.5hrs for a mobile Order... Watched an employee put a shopping cart next to a car so that it would get scratched (im so serious) all the workers were on their phones and there was hardly any tables filled but the hostess kept telling people they needed a reservation and that it would be an hour wait just for a table... My family and I visited one of our favorite breakfast restaurants and we're well pleased. This company honors social distancing and their tables in the dining area are 6-feet apart. We arrived around 11 and it was maybe a 15-20 min wait but they have comfortable seating in the foyer. Once we were seating, our waiter was extremely friendly and the food was fresh very tasty. For an affordable breakfast for dinner craving, we agreed on IHOP. They have their own lot for parking. We were seated by a host and greeted by our server for our drink order promptly. I had been craving a Belgium waffle and was excited to see it on the menu! After about 5 minutes our server for our order. I was surprised I could get egg whites as my egg option without the upcharge, as I feel it should be. I did order my bacon "well done" and she even read it back to me. It still managed to come out floppy? Just as soon as I pointed it out she corrected the error. The mgr stopped by and followed up on the corrected problem. Only half the seats are usually occupied and yet you have to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated. The staff is miserable and complained that they are understaffed because they are paid only $2.13 an hour plus tip. Just ridiculous that the owners really expect people to work for slave wages. However, I must say that negativity breeds negativity. As I look around there were only 12 tables occupied and there were three waitresses, a busboy, and a hostess, which I would think is enough yet they were complaining about being understaffed. But when we didn't order when the drinks were delivered, we were forgotten. I finally flagged down our waitress and she took our order. The food didn't even meet IHOP standards. Just soon as I walked in there was a broken bottle of Tabasco hot sauce on the floor were we had to walk at. I had to step over it making sure that I didn't cut myself! I went with my daughter and my 2 grandkids. It was kids eats free. They had the cupcake pancake breakfast, I had a Philly cheesesteak and fries, my daughter had a sampler. The server was very friendly , and patient with the grandkids. The restaurant was very clean and quiet service was served in a good amount of time. The Sirloin Tips & Eggs is very flavoring. It took me by surprise. I usually substitute the buttermilk pancakes with Harvest Grain' N Nut and add blueberry in it, if you like the texture of the nutty pancakes, definitely recommend it! A friend and I were in town on business and ate here before leaving. I ordered French toast, hash browns and a turkey bacon combo that came with eggs. When they arrived they were undercooked, yoke was runny. Sent them back and the waitress returned them with the same runny yoke. She looked at them and said "Yes that's correct, they are still runny. I'll take a dollar off of your bill". I didn't care about that dollar, I wanted to eat eggs that day. The waitress was a mess too, she was in a big hurry even though it wasn't extremely busy.
