I wrote a review for this ihop just over 2 years ago and my opinion has not changed whatsoever. The last time I went to this restaurant it was a miserable experience but the thought of unlimited pancakes drew me in and we decided to give it another shot. I should have learned my lesson the first time. We arrive at our table to find it only half clean. There were sticky syrup spots on one side of the table and a half empty coffee pot sitting there with creamer. We figure, hey it's all you can eat pancakes so maybe this place is just crazy busy, they'll take care of this in a minute, never happened. Our waitress drops by and it's the exact same waitress as last time! Just like last time, she is running around in a panicky mess (when her section wasn't even that full). The woman must do crack in her free time because she's a jittery mess. When my fiance ordered her egg whites fried our waitress said "they can't do that, only scrambled, it's a liquid" ummm yeah, that's what egg whites are, they are certainly not a solid. We told her it's possible to fry egg whites and that she needs to tell the kitchen to do it. The food comes out correct and in a reasonable amount of time which was a relief. I guess the kitchen learned you actually can fry egg whites. Throughout our entire meal though that coffee pot stayed on our table... This is the 2nd time ihop has failed me and I can say with absolute certainty I am never going to this restaurant again. IHOP, I have given you three chances before writing this review. Visit 1: The waitress was rude and 2 out of 4 orders were wrong. It was corrected, but without apology or a discount on the bill. Visit 2: I found 2 hairs in my food. I sent it back and did not even want to eat after that. I let my husband eat, but I was too grossed out. Visit 3: Christmas morning, 2016. The woman who rudely "greeted" us and seated us ended up being our waitress. It was very apparent that she did not want to be there. The hashbrowns were not even edible. I sent mine back and told her I didn't like them. She didn't care. No apology, no offer of anything else, nothing. Three strikes and you're out!! No more IHOP for my family. read more

They have all you can eat pancakes when you purchase any omelette. I always get the ba on temptation omelette which has bacon cheddar cheese and some white cheese melted inside. It's one of my favorite things to get! read more

IHOP very much is what it is. It's your go-to hangover spot when you need something greasy to settle your stomach (ironic how that works). It's inexpensive and gets the job done, but there's nothing too special about it in the process. read more

We've been coming here for years! And watched it decline over the years. The floors are absolutely filthy. The restrooms as well. The dinning area floors and seats are visibly dirty. The seats are old and the springs are coming up out if the seats. I was so disappointed with our last visit. They were short staffed and everyone was just seated in one area on top of eachother...Our waitress was great though. They really need to close for a few days and deep clean that restaurant. We came here on New Year's Day and got no service for like a hour, we were lucky to get water. The staff were obviously overwhelmed and short plus they probably didn't prepare what would be the only one or two restaurants open during overnight of New Year's Day. We told the servers, that we were taking off after no food and they were like all right, whatever. This location need to either CLOSE for the holidays or beef up more staff to handle the masses. Food came out quick but there were very few people in the place at the time. The ones that were there were very undesirable. I could not only smell their cigarette smoke stank bodies but alcohol as well. They were loud and all had meth teeth and I'm not joking. I ate my food and left as soon as possible. Admittedly, I went during a busy time . . . on a Sunday around 12:30pm so I was contending with the Sunday church/brunch crowd. The wait was quoted at 20 mins, but only took about 12. That was positive! Once seated we had a cleaned, but sticky table. While I am sure it is tough to contend with all of the spilled syrup at a place like IHOP, I still expected the area to be clean and NOT sticky. I stopped on of the bus people and they scrubbed it again. I ordered a pancake breakfast with a cinnamon apple compote on it. The meal was tasty and the order came out pretty quickly considering how busy the resturant was. The server did have to go back and get some items corrected for my girlfriend who was dining with me. It also took a while to get drink refills throughout the meal and to get the check at the end of our meal. In summary, I would say that the food was pretty good, but the resturant and service left room for improvement. Certaily not to the standard I have experienced at other IHOPs across the country - - and I have eaten at many other in the past. read more

I come here a lot and sometimes the service is great when they are not busy. If they are busy it's very bad you will definitely miss something either food cream ketchup or silver wear. The food is ok I always order the New York cheesecake pancakes and they are good if they have them. Today I was disappointed they didn't have them and I ordered a strawberry and cream crepe... Honestly I can make a better breakfast at home and for free. Also they need to pay some attention to sweeping. read more

Let me start by saying I love IHop pancakes and omelettes. Love them. The food is always good but man, the aggravation of having terrible service every single time I go there just isn't worth it anymore. We went on Thursday morning about 11. There were maybe 5 tables with people. It took so long to get our stuff from the kitchen, that I was ready to give up on them and go somewhere else. Had to flag...not our server but another server down to have our server bring us refills on our drinks. Food is good, but service is totally lacking and I'm pretty laid back. Worst experience at IHOP in Lexington, Ky Palumbo Drive location. Tables were dirty. Service was slow. And waitress was extremely unprofessional. Asked us at least 3 times in the span of 5 minutes if we were ready to order rushing us. Then said can I go take a smoke break while you decide. I work in food service and have never heard someone ask a customer that before. That's why you have breaks, smoke on your own time. Obviously poor management. Will not be back. I wish I could rate it lower than one star. Also they had a table next to us get up and leave because they had waited over an hour to be served. I placed a very simple curbside order at 11:40 am. The estimated time for it to be served was 12:08pm. At 12:25, I called to check on my order. The person stated that the food was ready on time, but they hadn't checked to see if I was at the curbside. I was actually at the curbside spot the whole time, even when I ordered. It's the Strawberry Banana Pancakes. Pretty close to the advertised picture. The strawberries were cold(yes), the whip cream not runny(yeah). I was seated rather quickly. Noise was low. Maybe because I was the only one there(lol). My visit was pretty good. Only bad thing was that I had 2 gnats flying around that would not go away. I am hard pressed to even give this restaurant one star, but Yelp tells me I must.... I went here today for the second time in 30 days. My last visit was on July 19th, which was my nephews birthday. On that visit we had a party of 7 and had a terrible experience with wrong items being brought, and then some orders not receiving what they ordered at all, and a general lack of care from our server. This meal was ultimately comped by management because it turned into a 2 hour fiasco of terrible service. Today, my boyfriend and I decide to give it another shot and were encouraged by the lack of traffic. Upon entering the restaurant there was one patron, an older gentleman who was just finishing his meal. My date and I were seated, and assured our waiter would be with us shortly. We literally sat at our booth for a good twenty minutes. No drinks. No silverware. No one even asked if we needed a thing. In those 20 minutes we had a waiter pass by us several times and ignore us completely. We finally ended up getting up and walking out because it was just ridiculous. When we left the restaurant, three other parties had been seated and two of the three had drinks already. I guess I just don't get how hard it must be to run a restaurant. I work in food and run a high end coffee shop myself, and have never. EVER, let me customers walk out. We took our business down the street to another eatery where we should have just gone in the first place. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. I ordered the 2x2x2 breakfast. It took about 25-30 minutes to get my food. The scrambled eggs were okay and the bacon strips were limp even though I had ordered them crispy. The problem was the pancakes - they were cold. I told the server and she said that she would get me new ones. When she brought the next pancakes, the plate was very hot but NOT the pancakes - they were also cold and had a very hard crunchy surface. I again told my server that the pancakes weren't hot and she started to argue with me that they were hot and she had just seen the kitchen take them off of the grill. I will say that the third time that the pancakes were warm but it shouldn't take three times to get warm pancakes at an I HOP. read more

I'm going to give this location since T H wouldn't because of his personal bias. I've eaten at this IHOP on several occasions. Sometimes there's a long wait to get in, but I've always been served quickly once seated, staff has been knowledgeable about menu items, and the food has been the correct order and delicious. And they're willing to maintain a diverse staff despite some of the rude opinionated customers they see. read more

SLOW, SLOW, SLOW Not once have I ever been here when they weren't painfully slow, I've waited 10 minutes before even getting to my drink order taken on several occasions. Given I usually do only come here during 3rd shift but that is honestly because I'm out late with friends and they all decide to come here and I have no other options. But even during family outings in the middle of the day it is still decently slow. Apart from that their food is crazy expensive, $7 for a stack of pancakes? The food is definitely mediocre, nothing nobody can't make at home and definitely not worth the price or time. And the staff varies from excellent to awful. Everytime I'm there I'm usually wishing I was at Waffle House instead, I'm not a IHOP fan by any stretch of the imagination, and they're ALL usually bad, no matter where I'm at... I've had one of the WORSE experiences at this IHOP. I love their food and never had a problem anywhere else but the Manager (Ashley) is so rude and is unaware of her own policies. I went online to order, delivery, not knowing they do it through a third party. (online it says nothing about a third party delivering my food) then door dash claims to have DELIVERED my food an hour later when my food was no where to be found and Ashley had me call door dash to try to get my refund back when it was HER responsibility to give it to me because it was IHOP who took my money. This happened on Tuesday and it's now FRIDAY and I still HAVENT RECEIVED MY REFUND. Poor customer service really hurts the business. read more

What an awful experience we had last night. The restaurant was busy, so we expected a slight delay, but we were seated almost immediately. That was the end of our speedy service. We sat and waited for our server to JUST greet us for about 15mins. During this time we decided to have our entire order ready, for when we were actually finally greeted for drinks, so we can make it all quick and easy. When our server finally came we ordered and everything was painless. 15mins later our drinks finally came, so 30mins into our dining experience. 20ish mins after that our server came and asked us questions that the "cooks asked". However, the questions were obviously needed to even ring in the food. She then walked to the computer terminal next to our table and proceeded to ring in our order. She was new, so that was a process. So, we are pushing an hour into our dining experience. We discussed whether or not to leave, but we had already waited so long, and we knew she had just put in the order. At this point we had only seen her when we first ordered, when she dropped of the drinks, and when she asked a question. We never got refills of our drinks until we flagged her down and asked her. An hour and half into our experience I asked to see a manager. Judy came to me and asked what was wrong. I explained and she basically blamed the new store that was opening and he fact that her entire staff was trainees. And she said she would get to work on cooking our food, which reveals that our food hadn't even been cooked yet. Another server comes to our table about 15 mins later and says our food was on its way out and we were waiting on a waffle. So, as we approached the 2hr mark our food came out plate by plate over a course of 5ish mins starting with the waffle. Which was barely warm, which told us that we weren't waiting on a waffle. Finally the entire meal was out, EXCEPT most of my food and they tell us what had happened was our meal ticket had been lost and they didn't know we were still waiting. Once everyone had almost finished eating my food came out. At this point we had already asked for our check (which we expected to be discounted) we had to wait until the manager came to us to find out why it needed to be discounted. She tells us that her discounts have been wild and that she couldn't give us our meal for free. And then asks what we deemed appropriate and tried to appease us with a free meal card. Finally after explaining the entire situation, which I had already spoken to her about almost a hour earlier, and after another of our party had spoken to the server, she finally gave us the free meal. But hen she went to the computer and verbally complained about the server and all the "shit" that happened. This is absolutely NOT appropriate and should never be allowed to happen. That server, being new, was left to drown and barely any help was given to her, even after complaints had come in. The nerve to throw the blame all over the place. Management is there to manage and fix the situation and try to head off the situations. I'm disappointed in the entire experience. read more

The food is decent but the service (in the evenings - can't speak for mornings) is atrocious. Expect to wait forever for drinks and have something wrong on your check. One visit, after complaining that no one had taken our drink order after 10 minutes, two waitresses had an argument at our table over who would take our table. Should have left then but didn't. Poured syrup on my pancakes that same meal and the syrup had been watered down. Seriously. I made then swap it out and bring me new pancakes. Fail. Avoid. Absolutely horrible service and the food was even worse. Upon entering, we were told by Sheila that "the cooks will let us know when more ppl can be seated". OK, over half of the tables were empty. That should've been our 1st hint to leave. Our drinks were incorrect and the waitress, Sheila, said she would be right back with the lemon that she had forgotten. The lemon never arrived. Half of our party of 8 received their food 30 min after ordering. Hint #2. The food arrived cold..3rd hint that our business should've been takes elsewhere. Two members of our party, simply fed up by the rude service and long wait, cancelled their orders and left. My wife sent her cold steak omelette back to the kitchen. The same dish ( wifey had made a slit in the omelette) came back to the table after being obviously microwaved. We brought this to Sheila's attention. She simply said "no it wasn't" and walked away. Approaching the counter to pay, I attempted to ask our waitress a question regarding my $35.00 bill and was met, yet again, with a rude response. I have to say that this is the 1st time that I have not shown gratuity. NO ONE at the table left a tip. That has to tell ya something. The service and standards of this establishment has severely declined and I certainly will NOT dine (or attempt to dine) here again. My only complaint is that there was a bit of a wait for the waiter to come take our orders but besides that, the food was delicious and my party and I had a good time. My wife and I went to this IHOP around 11:15 this morning and only had a short wait to be seated. That's the most positive part of our experience. Things went quickly downhill from there. Our server told us upfront that he was training today and we could tell he was trying but seemed somewhat awkward. While he did take our drink orders and brought them out within a few minutes, we were ready to order when they were delivered. After we had been waiting for about 20 minutes, we thought our food would be out soon. Unfortunately we were wrong. Then we started seeing other tables getting their food who were seated after we were. There were quite a few empty tables, so we didn't think the kitchen should be too backed up. Finally, after another 10 minutes, I was able to get the attention of a manager and explained about our long wait for our order. He said he would find out what was taking so long. About 3 minutes later, he came back and said he had the kitchen manager checking on our food. After a few more minutes he came back saying our food was "being plated". When our food still hadn't arrived after a few more minutes, we got up and left. The manager caught up with us outside and said our food had arrived, my wife replied that it was "too little, too late". We have often had poor service at this restaurant and I think this most recent experience will keep us away for a very, very long time. Cracker Barrel - here we come! read more

it's prolly the worst I hop I have ever been to. we waiting 30 minutes to be waited on. and then another 15 for our food. and get in the car to eat cause ya know u can't sit down or even use the bathroom anymore. poor delivery drivers. can't even pee I'm guessing bc they don't wanna clean the bathroom. anyways I hadn't started eating yet and my husband took a bite and his burger was raw his hash brown serving is very very small and when I say small like the size I would feed a toddler. but anywho it was raw. I took it back in for a refund girl claims she can't do it but her manager cand tomorrow but u won't get ur money until Tuesday prolly. like what. then the poor cook it wasn't his fault he said I'm so sorry I fallowed there cooking times. if five minutes on the grill is there cooking times they need shut down. then we get going down the road. what I ordered was a buffalo chicken melt thing. and literally the chicken strips were raw in the middle and my fries were like half a scoop it's worse then the servings at McDonald's when I get half a little thing full. and that's saying something. DO NOT EAT HERE unless u want samonella or ecoli. the portion sizes are shrinking but prices are not. My fam of 4 ate here 1/3/15. We were 1 of about 4 or 5 other groups who were comped for our meal because of the horrible service. The mgr said there was only 1 line cook.She was NOT happy to do all those comps. She even slammed down my husband's credit card when she took it to take off the meals (slammed down on the countertop, very rude) Yet upon leaving she told us to "have a blessed night" lol. It took 1 group 45 min to get their meal. Ours took about 30 min. 1 meal was missing the meat. When we finally got refills on our pancakes (all we could eat woohoo) they came to our table cold after about 15 min!! They were PLAIN cakes!! We were there from sit down to exit 1hr & 20 because of the wait to get our food.1 table had to ask for silverware as did we. I don't know what is going on at this location but we will NOT be returning. Btw, the dining room was maybe 25% occupied so no excuse of crowd. When we left, the mgr was telling another family that it would be a 45 min wait. They left too. Wish we had gone elsewhere for better food & service.
