I am going to review my meal as I sit in the restaurant because things are just that bad. I had to sit myself because my waitress (I was informed that her name is Nora) is oblivious to what her job is. She asked me for my order after I had been sitting for over ten minutes without a menu which she was suppose to provide me when I sat down. I received my meal which was timely delivered. Omelet was a mess. No extra napkins or other condiments that were requested was left. Nora passed my table at least ten times without checking to see if anything was needed. I literally had to call out to get her attention. I asked for a to go plate for leftovers and was given the only size they had which was small. A smart person would have provided two of the tiny containers. I left a majority of the food behind. The only time she acted remotely attentive was when it was time for me to pay the bill and tip her. Today is just not her day to get a tip from me. It was late and most places were closed so we had no choice but to come to IHOP. What we didn't know is that it was also prom night so it took some time for our food to come out as the prom kids were taking over the place still all glammed up like they came straight from prom to IHOP. Our server was awesome. It's hard to keep a smile on your face when people are running you ragged but she managed. I didn't want anything heavy because I was still full from earlier so I just ordered a belgian waffle with bananas and tea. Both were good, nothing exciting. The big steak omelet I ordered was very bland and the meat in it appeared to be a dry, chopped up hamburger patty. We had a party of 6 and was told there would be a 10 mom wait. 40 mins later and 15 people ahead of us we still weren't seated. We asked for an approximate wait time only to be told they didn't know. I refuse to eat at this location again. I understand COVID but there was a group of 6 and 7 ahead of us that was seated with no issue. We asked if we could do 2 tables of 3 if that would be easier but still got the run around. I have no issue with waiting a few extra minutes however, not 40 minutes with no estimate of additional information. We stoped by on 5/31/18 @ 7:04am. Kayla was so nice she listened and got our order correctly. She constantly came and ask how is everything and how was our food. Also asked us several time can she get anything else for us. I was well pleased with the customer service she gave to us. Let me tell you something My Mom loves IHOP!! especially this location. I mean the staff know her there. Every IHOP usually drive me nuts because the wait time is ridiculous but not this location. this Ihop has terrible service. I have been here on a number of occasions and the same thing always happens! I am always in the lobby for more than 30 minutes waiting to be seated and on top of that I have to wait a long time for a waiter to even greet me at my table and serve me food! then by the time I get my food it is already cold. I am so disappointed and will not be returning. I do not recommend if you are trying to be in and out of a restaurant because you will definitely be waiting here. Literally 0 stars if I could. My waitress, was extremely rude, and greeted us with "What so you want". She had her headphones in the entire time and was talking to somebody on them while at our table. We weren't notified that they were out of most of our order, which she and the manager seemed to not care and just gave us pancakes instead of what we ordered. Then, she had the audacity to hold two of the plates of pancakes on her breasts (pancakes touching her shirt) and still placed them in the table. My wife and I were traveling back from Myrtle Beach and stopped in for breakfast. We know IHOP and know what to expect, at least we thought we did. The food was about 1 star above normal IHOP, but our server was at least 2 stars above anyplace else! Priscilla was so friendly and attentive we could swear we were at home or visiting relatives. Coffee right away, food quick, multiple checks to make sure we didn't need anything else, but then when we paid came the topper. I've never had someone ask if we would like coffee and water to go for our trip, which she brought right away with a smile. Definitely above and beyond and very much appreciated. First the good: The waitress was very nice. The food was not horrible. The rest: Ridiculously slow, probably understaffed in the kitchen. The dining room is FREEZING. A lady at another table asked if they could turn down the cold air and a staff member said they had to keep it cold or the floor sweats. What?? That seems like there's a larger issue. The booth they sat us at first was so warped that there was a good three-inch difference in the height of the table's outer edge compared to where it met the wall. It was bad. We were worried our cups would slide away. When we asked to be moved, we got another warped booth table that was only slightly better. When the food finally arrived, the chocolate chip pancakes came with the chocolate chips on the side, which is weird and not how it's supposed to be. In the past, they've forgotten the chocolate chips completely. I want to like this place, but it's always a less than good experience. read more

Then I got up to go to the bathroom the bus boy picked up utensils and trash from the floor and placed it in my food I assumed he thought I left. Lowkey we got stranded in Lumberton for 3 hours after our bus broke down and IHOP showed up for us. They let us hang out the entire time and didn't say anything about how half the group was passed out in pastels post Carolina Cup. The waitress even let us use her phone charger. We stopped on both of our drives from Jax to Raleigh and found it good on both of times. Not only the food was upto the expectation but the atmosphere is always refreshing which is needed on long drives. On out first trip our server ( the lone male server there) was very cheerful and helped us greatly in choosing our food. By mistake he brought two shakes while we ordered only one but he assured me that he'll take care of that and he didn't charge it in the cheque. Excellent food, every time j come here u have a good experience wth servers. It isn't a place to go for a "quick, fast and hurried" breakfast but the food quality surpasses the traditional Waffle House or Huddle House. It's located right off of I-95 which makes it easy for travelers to visit, plenty of parking for larger vehicles or pulling trailers, etc. I suggest the chicken and waffles or pecan pancakes. This IHOP is our go-to restaurant after late night events. Usually, it's OK. But last night, although we were seated immediately, no waitress came to our table for 20 minutes. No drinks, nothing. People who came in after us were greeted, had their orders taken, and had drinks while we still waited. I finally said something, and a waitress came over. I made sure we ordered food and drinks at the same time. Then, there was a delay in the food. Although the waitress came by twice to tell us our food was coming, it was a long time. And when the food arrived, the eggs were undercooked, slimy, and at room temperature. The only thing hot was the toast. I usually love IHOP but after my last experience I will never go back to this one. My family came after church on Wednesday which is usually a busy time for a good restaurant. Not this one, there was only 2 other occupied tables. Which makes it even more confusing as to why our meal took soooo long to come out. My son ordered Coke and they were out. I ordered Dr pepper and they were out. The table was still wet from being wiped down. We never got our drinks until the food came. We had no silverware. I had to go to other tables to get it myself. The Waitress gave no straws until we called her back. The Waitress dropped all the straws on the floor then picked them up and put them on the clean napkins. Halfway through my omlette, sprinkled with burned ham on top, I started tasting pancakes. I flipped my omlette to see pancakes were mixed in with my omlette. Avoid this place! read more
