We went for breakfast on Feb. 5, Free Pancake Day. When we pulled up, I thought we might have to wait to be seated because the parking lot appeared full. But we were seated almost immediately and I was surprised to see that the place was almost empty. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She suggested the free pancakes to us before we even asked. (Which I thought was nice because I've eaten at places where wait staff seems to be trained to push high priced menu items.) Drink orders were taken and drinks brought out immediately. My tea was fine but my companion said his coffee tasted burnt., He asked for a replacement and was given one immediately. He said that cup tasted burnt too. *shrug* Breakfast was tasty. Nothing fancy and that's what I expected. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, toast, and (pork) bacon. My companion had the same. We walk in and no one comes to the front for 5 minutes. we get seated and order. after 25 minutes our food comes out and it was wrong. so i have to wait another 10 minutes to eat. We've been here twice, and both times it was terrible. First time, we were seated, waitress asked what we like to drink. We gave our orders and that was all we seen any of the wait staff, and No drinks. Waited 30 minutes. 5 other customers came in after us, were served. Don't get French toast here or at least not on Sunday evenings. It's raw or doughy :( I ordered the Split Decision and my links and bacon were cold and my french toast doughy/soggy/raw so when the manager asked how I was doing I told him my ordeal. My brother,Boyfriend and I had came in an hour before closing. Our waitress was extremely nice. Her boss on the other had looked as if she had been doing Cocane in the back parking lot. I use love IHOP but one night ruined my whole experience. One night I went with a friend around 9 PM and the service was really slow and a service has always been really slow at the restaurant. The waitress brings us out our pancakes and While eating mine I noticed it a long strand of hair inside. I obviously freaked out because who wouldn't! I was going to notify someone but no or was in the dining room of the restaurant. There were many customers there waiting for someone bc they needed assistance or needed to pay but no one had come out for about fifteen minutes. finally I explained to the waitress why happened and she voided my payment but she didn't give me any new pancakes. Now where I work and most other restaurants, if there is hair in your food they will give you your money pay and offer to remake it for you. This used to be a great place to grab some breakfast but not anymore. We arrived and the place was almost empty. We were sat at a booth and were forgotten about. A cook came out of the kitchen noticed us then had to yell at a waitress that she had a table. She came took our order brought us our drinks then went to go talk and hang out with the other employees. After a long wait she went to the kitchen to grab our food. The hashbrowns were cold and undercooked. The crepes were dry. When we finished our food we asked for our check. During this time our waitress was running around the restaurant claiming she had lost something. After waiting 15 minutes another waitress came by asking if we were alright then called us to the register saying she could ring us up. While we were paying our waitress came up and slammed our check down on the counter. I didn't appreciate her attitude. I recommend avoiding this place so no one else has a horrible experience. read more

Friday night at 7:30 pm. 4 tables, 3 servers. There was a delightful server named Chatney, but alas, we weren't one of the tables lucky enough to get her. We had a surly server with a bad attitude who spent most of our visit leaning over the counter in the kitchen talking to the cooks or sitting in the corner at a table, on her phone. We watched with envy as Chatney deftly refilled drinks or handed out napkins to her tables while we sat with parched throats dying for a refill. We helped ourselves to utensils from empty tables as --- was nowhere in sight to supply any. After slamming our appetizer plate on the table, missing any sharing plates or honey mustard for the chicken fingers, I tried to catch our servers eye as she leaned on the counter in the kitchen as I could see through the window, but she kept making sure not to look straight at us. We saw her smile once at her coworker who helped her bring out our dinner plates but all we received was a sullen attitude and incoherent mumbles. I considered nicely asking if we had offended her in some way, if even by only our existence, but decided it wasn't worth it. She ruined our night, I didn't have to ruin hers. Came to Mooresville IHOP after seeing Statesville IHOP was very busy. Both my husband and I were craving pancakes for lunch so we felt like we had to go to an IHOP. The Mooresville IHOP was not nearly as busy and was only half full, which is surprising during lunch hour on a Saturday! Anyway, we were seated quickly. The major complaint I have was our server. She was a middle aged woman with faded black knit pants who looked like she literally rolled out of bed in her work clothes to come to work. She had an odor (pet and cigarettes odor?) on her and she was overall unkempt and dirty. I was very nervous with this lady handling my food. I ordered water to drink and there were crumbs and debris in the water. I didn't ask for more because I am not the type to complain at restaurants. Food was mediocre. I didn't eat much of my food due to this server handling it. It was questionable if she regularly washed her hands. I don't know her name because she didn't introduce herself. She simply came to the table and asked, "what do you want to drink" without any introduction. When it came time to order food it was "what do you want?" That was about the extent of the conversation and introduction. Next time I think we will go to Cracker Barrel or drive over to Winks BBQ in Salisbury for their plate sized pancakes! read more
