Curbside pickup is not a thing at this location. 1. To this date, 08/27/2024, Curbside pickup is still an option on the app 2. They have the Curbside pickup signs at the very front of the store... they have 3 signs in fact that cover over 3 parking spaces. I went to this store around 2 days ago. I ordered Curbside pickup. I was following the app's instructions. It told me to input the make and model of my vehicle, color and that someone will be out with my food. I waited over 25 mins for someone to come out with my food. After waiting a while, I went inside and my food was right there sitting on the counter along with my melted milkshake. They mentioned to me that they don't go outside and drop off the food because they need to see proof on the phone. That's fine that they need to see proof, but you can also check for proof outside for the people waiting for curbside pickup. They just says to me that management doesn't have at least ONE person eyeing the front to see if someone might be waiting for curbside pickup. ' It's upsetting that I have to write this review because the rest of the food was bomb.com. I'm just more upset at the app and management... if you know you have curbside pickup on the app as an option, USE IT! If not, don't use the app at all. Not to be mean, but the smart thing to do with is branch would be to close it, or sell it to another that can manage it better. In person or online the services are so terrible. Almost seems like they go out of their way to give bad service. The staf are disturbingly rude and aggressive, and if you avoid them and just order online, you can be sure the terrible service would still reach you. I have order from them online 4 times and all 4 times major meals were missing in the food. Been there in person once with my mom and NEVER went back. We were left standing at the door while the staff the door stepped out in from of us for a smoke or a call. Then irritablely came back to seat us like we were bothering her by being there, said no word to us and walked away. The service was cool at first but then after we ordered we waited for our food for 20 minutes after that the guy comes up and tells us that our entire order was deleted. Our table was for 8 and we all had to sit for an hour all together just even get close to the food. and when the food comes out it was cold. The only good thing is that they were quick to fix the issue with the food but the order getting deleted is what sent me here. When we asked the guy for some sort of compensation for deleting our order he sat there and told us we werent getting one. I came here for a quick dinner at the request of my 3 year old lol. The waitress was friendly. There was no wait at all and the place was pretty empty. The food arrived very fast and was typical yummy IHOP. The restaurant appeared clean and the servers were practicing proper Covid era cleaning practices. When we came in (party of 2) we were seated with the server James. He was amazing! He didn't even need to write the order down and got it spot on, sausages were crispy just how I asked. We were just stopping in because the last one we visited seemed busy, as did they but *shrugs* service was superb! Some of the reasons people give bad reviews are insane. I'm giving them 5 stars to balance some of the foolishness. It's IHOP. Geez. There are probably few rocket scientists working there. I understand being upset about poor service I don't understand being pissed about the phone being out one day or why you would sit in your car for an hour waiting and get mad that your food was cold. smh Also, it is completely inappropriate to judge/review the restaurant for what the driver of an independent company does. I always order with confidence knowing that Tasha understands the importance of customer satisfaction and making sure that my meal is complete with condiments. I request her if I dine in because she remembers my order even with all of my "subs." When I place an order for pickup, I ask if she's in, if so, I can always count on her warm greeting with a smile and professionalism. Service: We had a cool waiter but I think he was overwhelmed helping us.(We were a group of 10) He took all the orders and forgot items, confused one meal and took madddddd long to come back to the table. He was working two sides of the resturant . No one helped him bring out the meals but after the 6th time reminding him about items he forgot, a manager helped him bring out two hot cocoas. Parking was terrible due to the fact that the IHOP is location in a shopping center. Once we found parking we walked inside and the hostess was leaning on the podium. My mother, my eleven yr old grandson and myself had dinner at the IHOP in New Carrollton this evening. When I say it was awful, I mean awful. I ordered the bacon and cheese omelet, with blueberry pancakes. The omelet had zero cheese inside the omelet. It was over cooked and dried out. The pancakes were so crispy that I sent them back. While I'm waiting for my pancakes to return, I'm choking down this dry omelette and swatting flies as if I was eating outside. When my pancakes come back, they are worse. Not crispy this time. However they we're still over cooked and very dry. I was so disappointed with my meal it's not funny. When I informed my waiter (Julio) he offered to send over the manager. When the manager came she began telling me how much she loved the pancakes there. I expressed how I too, am a big fan of IHOP pancakes. And, this was not what I expected and how disappointed I was. She just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry about that. She never offered any discount, or compensation of any kind. When the bill came I inspected it carefully. There a had been no discount given. I gave Julio my card and he came back with the two receipts. One for me and one for the merchant. I gave him a seven dollar tip and noticed that there was a discount. It appears that she took off the pancakes. Although without communicating that to me, I'm not really sure. But there was a significant difference in the original total. I didn't even get to thank the manager. As there was no communication between us with regard to the compensation. I think that was piss poor professionalism. I won't be going to that IHOP again. I advise everyone not to eat there. When she was standing at my table, we were fighting flies while she watch and she offered no, apologies, or explanation. I've been twice so far this year and will definitely be back. They move pretty quickly and the restaurant is tidy and clean. The staff is really really nice. If you are not sitting inside they bring it outside to you, well not sure if everyone does that but Destiny did. My order was missing hash browns but Destiny made sure I received it on the next visit since I couldn't make it back to pick it up that same day. My first time here, and it was a wonderful experience all around. Everything was perfect. It wasn't crowded but some places still act like they don't see you but we were seated quickly. Our waiter was polite and gave recommendations and even commented nice things on what we had chosen. I can't remember his name but he's black guy, on the chunky side with a sort of raspy voice. Unfortunately, for me, the basketball player was not, in fact, waiting to be seated at this establishment. It seems that this location simplifies the reservation process while providing some privacy for its patrons by assigning people random party reservation names. My party was assigned "Spongebob" and the group after us were under the name "Michael Jordan." Compared to other IHOPs in the area, my party's wait time was relatively short. Once, seated, however, we were seemingly forgotten about. Oddly enough, random staffers kept asking if we wanted something to drink but were unable to take our food order. Finally, our assigned waitress came and we rattled off a customized order. I wanted to try the buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips in them, but I didn't want both pancakes to have chocolate chips in case I didn't like it. The waitress said she had to check to see if that was possible. Luckily, it was. As for the food itself, it tasted okay. Nothing was particularly outstanding about it. While I thought the place could look a little cleaner, my dining companion didn't share my opinion. Overall? This is not one of the places you go for the food. It's DEFINITELY not good for the same waitress to continue to wait tables and begin cleaning under tables with the same bare hands she just used to handle good and return to delivers food and drinks. I am not crazy about IHOP.. I know some people love it! But the food was very commercial tasting ! The staff was nice! The food was hot! But that was the only good things about this restaurant.. Oh and the pecan syrup was delicious !! I think I have just grown away from most chain restaurants! The bacon was the best thing about my meal, and I was surprised that they didn't have hot syrup or flavored coffee creamer ! It was very clean and airy in this particular ihop! This IHOP is average . The food is good and the staffs here are friendly ... The windows were dirty unfortunately has someone's mouth marks on the windows and lips mark. But other than that , I've ordered a quesadilla it was good ! I ordered a strawberry lemonade I wouldn't order that because they put too much sugar in it and has fruits and fruits syrup it made my stomach hurt . My pancakes were burnt on one side, and my omelette was horribly overcooked and dry. My girlfriends eggs were overcooked also. On 12/18/2020 at 10:45 am I decided to order I hop takeout. The woman on the phone had a very aggressive tone and little patience. For example I ordered a bacon temptation omelet. I did not want the cheese sauce instead I want pepper jack cheese all throughout. She said very aggressively "that's how it comes". We asked for whipped butter and flavored syrup. At the end off the order she said the total and hung up on us, we did not get to order our drinks. Once we arrived at the ihop to pick up our meal, the same woman greeted us. She did not have on a name badge and she was on her personal telephone. When we opened our bag we did not have whipped butter, we did not have the syrups we requested, and the bacon temptation omelet did not have cheese all throughout. I wanted to split the bill and she told me I should have told here before hand but that would have been impossible because she hung up on me in the first place. This is not the first time I have witnessed her rude behavior. Once we were eating in and she walk away from a customer and said very loudly "What the fuck is wrong with people!" Usually the customer service here is very satisfying but today I witness first hand what I've notice her behavior is like from afar.
