While far from my fave, it's often my preferred stop for breakfast. The 55+ menu is a good deal -- though they get you with coffee! -- and you could order lunch and dinner fare even in the morning. My husband gets the 2x2x2. The current $6 special comes in cheaper than the same thing on the senior menu. His breakfast of two eggs, two pancakes and two strips of bacon looked lacking, compared to mine! If you get a BLT there's a choice of side, including pancakes. I think they made a mistake adding fries to my plate and I got three pancakes vs his two (also likely a mistake.) Anywho.... guess who's getting left-over pancakes for breakfast tomorrow! Our server -- the fellow with Batman tattoos -- is great at his job. The coffee is strong, the restaurant appears renovated and there's a counter with stools, like in a diner. IHop 11-17-24 Stopped by for some Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast on Sunday morning about 8:15 am at the N. Ft. Myers location. They were busy, this place was neat and clean. Our waitress Kelly was fast with the coffee and taking our orders. I ordered Double Blueberry Pancakes which are 4 Blueberry Pancakes with double Blueberries in them with Blueberry Sauce and Whipped Cream on top of them. My wife ordered the Breakfast Sampler which included 2 Eggs, 2 strips of Bacon, 2 Sausage Links, 2 slices of Ham, 1 Hash Brown and 2 Pancakes. Our friend ordered a half stack of double Blueberry Pancakes. We enjoyed our Coffee but our main ordered came out fast and it looked amazing. Everything was hot and very tasty. Kelly was a great waitress. She kept our Coffee cups filled and came back to check on us a bunch of times. This is a good breakfast; everyone needs to stop by as they have something for everyone on their menu. I give this place 5 stars out of 5 stars because of the great service and good food. Staff still as friendly as always, but the place had the slight hint of urine as if maybe they mopped the bathroom floor then used the same water, unless the bathroom itself has an issue. My friend and I came into this ihop to use her free birthday points to share a plate of pancakes. We are two college students on a budget. We asked for whip cream and chocolate chip pancakes. The waitress (old woman with brown hair) says, "I'm sorry, that will be extra if you order the whip cream and chocolate chips." So we decided to just get the plain pancakes. We were very clear about that. The waitress passes our table and says she's adding them on the side of our dish, and doesn't even give us time to respond to her. She comes back and hands us a cup of chocolate chips on the side that we did not ask for. If we did want to pay extra, why wouldn't we just get the regular chocolate chip pancakes? Why give us a cup of chocolate chips and whip cream and imply they're going to be free? It makes no sense. When we get the bill she looks me dead in the eyes and goes, "You owe me for those chocolate chips." And then walks away again, before we even have time to respond. It was so creepy and cowardly. We tried to explain to management what happened and that we didn't order that food, but we were so flustered by the odd behavior of the waitress (who was standing just staring at us in the corner) that my friend just explained that it was told to us that it was now free (true, but also like I said we didn't order the food and she didn't give us time to respond). We were told that we should have read the fine print but we did, and we asked for plain pancakes. There are a lot of struggling people in the world who are just making ends meet and we were fortunate enough to receive these free birthday pancakes. I don't know why this waitress would want to ruin this nice birthday experience. I know it's a small amount of money but it's really the principle of the thing and the small violation of consent that bothers me. It just shows that this waitress doesn't really care about her customers and when you run into a slimy unprincipled person like that it can kind of slightly dim your day. What a disaster. My daughter wanted Biscuits and Gravy. They came back and said "sold out". She then picked a Spicy Shredded Beef Burrito Bowl. They came back and said "sold out". Placed an uber pick up order with 65$ of food for my family. Got the message it was ready for pickup and arrived to the ihop. I waited in line and saw someone else doing pickup they asked for the name and scanned their app confirming it was the right order. I came inside showed then my uber app saying my order was ready for pickup and they said someone had already taken the bag and left. I asked to speak to a manager. They were immediately dismissive and unhelpful I'm assuming because I am a teenager so they treated me with no respect. They then told me that there is no pick up option in the app which I know isn't true as I was looking at it on the app as well as watching people pick up. I asked what can be done about this as I placed the order to their restaurant payed 65$ and was on time for pick up. They very rudely said there's nothing I can do and pushed me along to help the other people in line. read more

I can't tell you how many times I have been to this IHOP restaurant with friends and family in the past 12 years since I've been in Florida. Today it was life I walked into the Twilight zone of IHOP. My friend placed her order and I ordered biscuits and gravy with two eggs over easy. She got her order just fine, but I was absolutely disgusted when I saw mine. The biscuits were separate from the gravy and it was never served like that before. The gravy was brought to me in a 2 oz what amounts to a shot glass and put on the side. When I told the waitress the gravy was definitely not enough to qualify this is biscuits and gravy, she brought me more gravy, again in a small container about 2 oz. I did the best I could to put the gravy I was given on top of both biscuits which hardly covered them. When we were done eating, the waitress brought our bill. Another shocker! She had charged me for the other 2 oz of gravy to the amount of $1.89! When I brought my displeasure up to her, she's told me that this is the way they serve biscuits and gravy, gravy separate from the biscuits and only in that small amount. I questioned the $1.89 for the extra gravy and she told me that she's only the waitress, and that she has no control over this. If this is the way that IHOP short serves biscuits and gravy, today is the last time I will ever go there! And, our family gatherings and our occasional friend gatherings will choose another restaurant in the area to go to where we get what we pay for. And it certainly will not be an IHOP restaurant. You know, friends have warned us that since Covid closed and then reopenedthe restaurant, that's a quality and the service in this IHOP restaurant have really gone downhill, but banking on our previous experience that I have, we mistakenly chose to go there again. Waited a few minutes on a Sunday after Church but it was worth the wait! Morgan was our server and she was friendly and efficient! I enjoyed the Bacon Jam poached egg breakfast and. My wife the Avocado Toast with poached eggs also. IHOP coffee is always good and shortly our meals arrived, pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. I've been eating here since I moved to Cape Coral 5 years ago but since Covid have watched the location struggle and decline. Went for breakfast a week ago and was disappointed, needing to send my eggs back (overcooked), then getting the replacement undercooked. It's not that hard to poach an egg (eggs Benedict)... At least it shouldn't be. What really pissed me off thought was today when I saw that the restaurant illegally changed my VISA payment from what I signed for $19.00 to $19.53. No reason for this. Obviously I don't care about the 53 cents... It's the "principal" of being ripped off. They can keep it... Not worth wasting time to chase it. But, I won't go there again. Breakfast at IHOP was included with our stay at the near by best western. The restaurant was clean. There were almost as many staff members as customers. Our waitress was personable and efficient. She took out order quickly and returned with our drinks. She checked on our meals and refreshed our water. The food was good. I had a omelet with mushrooms which were fresh, not canned. I know this may be a funny place to really direct so full attention but I have to say, the Fort Myers area is really hurting for a decent breakfast place. For this reason I have decided to really comment on IHOP just over the bridge in North Fort Myers on 41. Unfortunately we have been blessed with poor chain restaurants like Waffle House, Perkins and Denny's. With their plastic bacon and sometimes seems like powdered eggs, I have a hard time even entering these restaurants. Now the Dunkin' Donuts has made the change to lose most of its menu for its basic breakfast items, I unfortunately bought a box of muffins for my office from Perkins. Five days later they still sat on my conference table. I even question if there plates are even real food. IHOP is been around for ages. It's new menu filled with well recognize breakfast items mixed in with crêpe dishes and other food always has something good please. Unfortunately I would love to see REAL grilled potatoes in lieu of deep fried wedges, the rest of the menu is great. The food is fresh and cooked well. Have to say, the coffee is very good also. Kris the manager really has done a nice job with it over the years. Waitresses like Beatty and Nicole hammer to bring you the food and go to battle to do it in good time. Ask for them by name... tell them Jim sent you and tip them well. They deserve it! Just good food and good people. Go there today. IHOP may be known for its pancakes but I absolutely love their oversized omelets.... my favorite is the garden omelet with broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese with the roasted red potatoes. Or choose pancakes as your side instead of the potatoes. Your choice. And IHOP surprisingly makes a great cup of coffee. Terrible experience on Friday, Aug 30th: Our dinner was interrupted by 2 waitresses discussing a sick patron vomiting at an adjacent table. Graphic details in loud voices ruined our experience. It was as if they wanted the patrons to hear them. I spoke up by asking that they keep those discussions out of the dining area. No apology was offered. Let's say I never saw IHOP operating like the one in North Fort Myers. I have been going to IHOPS since the mid 90s. I just love cheese blintzes there and that is the only place that serves them somewhat authentically. I always go there in the middle of the business breakfast time on Sundays! The wait was only 10 min! The stuff operated like 5-star fine dining servers! I was shocked in impressed at the same time, keep looking around if I was still in IHOP. I was sitting fast by the bar. My server, a very young attentive man was the best server I ever had. The meal was in front of me fast, the coffee was always refilled at the perfect time, the check arrived fast, but to pick up the check was a bit wait that is no rush and I had just the right amount of time for my food to settle, finish my coffee... WOW (I did ask his name but now I do not recall and feel pretty guilty about it) I saw a lady who was helping the table, talking to the stuff, wearing many hats and she just looked like she owned the place. Yes, I was right it was the manager, Kris. The Asian culture always runs the business well. IHOP is lucky to find her! I asked her and this is the only first time I asked for the manager not to complain but to thank her for a wonderful experience I had at IHOP. Thank you guys! read more

We haven't been to ihop for about 6 months after having a poor experience. We decided to try it again. My omelet was alright but my wife's meal was some kind of a joke. She ordered two of the Belgian pancakes and hash browns with onions and cheese. Belgian pancakes didn't have the moose and the hash browns had no onions or cheese. The solution was after 10 minutes to bring a small cup of moose, a small cup of onions and a small cup of cheese. The moose came but the others must have slipped her mind. Disappointing. I went there this morning with my friend 9/25/2014 it was around 1:00 in the afternoon. Our waitresses name was Stacey, it seemed that she was more interested with the other people in the restaurant then us. I do not know if it is because we are younger girls and she thought we were just going to eat and not tip well (I usually tip 20%), she did not come by and ask how the food was prepared or if we needed more to drink. She forgot the ketchup we asked for, so we had to ask a different server to help us out. She brought the check without asking if we wanted a dessert, or more to drink. I like the location of the restaurant it is right across the bridge from downtown Fort Myers, but the service or lack of was horrid this afternoon. not sure if I will be returning. read more

I was a waitress for 15 years. My server was Kat and she was amazing! I came with 11 other family members and all the food orders were correct our drinks were refilled without having to flag her down, let alone ask and she also had a table with another family who was rude at first but she changed their attitude with her service. When I ordered my twins food they were fussy and she offered to give them their applesauce while they waited and brought out their food first so they were calm The omelettes tasted amazing as well.
