Although the wait was long (40 minutes on a late Sunday morning), the wait staff was right on top of us after we were seated. Drinks came right away, and then we ordered. Food was pleasantly warm/hot when served - a rarity for breakfast joints on a Sunday! My frittata was hot, tasty, and delicious. My fruit cup was a great variety and all fresh fruit. Others at our table had 1) the blueberry pancakes (tons of blueberries) with scrambled eggs (still warm) and bacon (the best ever); 2) the Belgian waffle substituted for pancakes (amazing) and perfectly cooked eggs over easy, plus link sausage (really tasty). The prices were $14.99 and $15.99 each which we gulped at, but after eating the meal, we walked away saying "you get what you pay for, let's come back next week!" The QR code on the bill minimized my time taking care of it...a nice feature for sure! read more

Service was phenomenal. Food not so much. Eggs were really dried out probably the worst omelet I've had in a long time. Mixed greens came with no dressing. Kale tonic was the only saving grace. Sorry but the food has really gone down hill. Had mimosas and a five star experience at Fiddlesticks Cafe and it was five dollars less.... For 55.00 for a salad and an omelette it was mediocre at best. Probably will be way down on my brunch choices after yesterday's experience.. One of the best breakfast places in the greater Fort Myers and surrounding cities. It has the ambience and feel of some of the nicer beach cities with a great and diverse menu and very cool staff. We are at Colonial in Ft Myers and Cape Coral locations and loved both! Avocado toast, biscuits and gravy, and sweet breaded item and the club sandwich are some of my favorites and they have good coffee which isn't always the case in Florida breakfast spots! read more

First Watch is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch in Fort Myers. With Lee County soaked with near 10 inches of rain, we went to First Watch at this location when the rain took a pause. I tried the blistered shishito brisket hash. The shishito pepper has a sweet and smoky taste but very little kick unlike the hot Jalapeno. The pulled brisket with potato hash top with cheeses (Chedder and Monterey jack), over-easy eggs, scallions and pickled red onions make this a great dish! Be careful, it is an amazing dish but loaded with calories and sodium. However, this gave me an instant relief from the depressing rain storm! Today, wife and guest ordered their tradition breakfast eggs with sausages and bacons. Wife complained that the bacons were little over cooked or too dry! But the sausages were fine! The service here is excellent as usual. With a small pot of coffee, we sipped and chatted for 20+ minutes while watching the heavy downpour. read more

First time at this restaurant and we enjoyed the food, service and vibe. The location has plenty of space and can accommodate both small and large parties. The location looked really busy as parking was a bit hard to get but when we walked in we were greeted immediately and sat at a table. We choose to sit outside as they offer a nice outside patio and the weather was perfect. Food was ordered and came out extremely fast which was awesome. We shared a breakfast plate that was plentiful in size. The omelette was cooked perfectly with an explosion of flavors from the add ins. The multigrain toast was also very nice to accompany the omelette. All in all we were sat, ate and left in 35min! Good spot for a quick meal. My friends, family and I have enjoyed breakfast at first watch for many many years. There are quite a few locations nationwide, as well as perhaps four right here in Fort Myers. The food preparation is always excellent. I enjoy their waffles and their pancakes which they will make with pecan nuts if you ask. SERVICE: We always are treated so well by the greeters at the front door, as well as the servers who bring our choices from the kitchen. They are very courteous and attentive. AMBIANCE: First watch has dining rooms, as well as outdoor service on tables with large umbrellas for those who would like to sit outside and enjoy the morning, the singing of the birds, and the natural surroundings, while they are having a beautiful breakfast. I took my brother-in-law, who was visiting, out for breakfast at First Watch. I ordered their Elevated Egg Sandwich with the avocado on the side and spinach instead of fresh greens on the sandwich with an over-hard egg and an order of their Cheesy Grits on the side. Everything was great except for the avocado which was brown but I was just happy I ordered it on the side and not on the sandwich like it was supposed to have been on. My brother-in-law ordered their Chickichanga, which came with potatoes and toast, and he said he thought it was pretty good but the potatoes were a little bland. I liked their interior decor and atmosphere, very calming and rustic. And on a side note, their bathrooms were nice. Service was great. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. Prices were reasonable. Cool breakfast spot with a variety of dishes for whatever kind of breakfast mood you're having. Overall, pretty good experience. I recommend trying it out. read more

While temporarily in Ft Myers this First Watch location was one of the places we grabbed breakfast at. I had the Morning Market Veg Omelet. I liked how hearty it looked (and was), It definitely left me satiated. If I had to change one thing about the dish it would be the kale inside the omelet. It wasn't cooked very well, nor did it have good flavor. As far as the service: our waitress was attentive and very pleasant. Debbie is absolutely incredible! She's one of those rare people who can instantly brighten your day and set the tone for everything that follows. Every time we see her, she greets us with genuine warmth, outstanding service, and a smile that makes you feel like family. We honestly only go to this particular First Watch because of Debbie. Yesterday (Saturday, 8/9), I told the manager, who was there at the time -- how amazing and wonderful Debbie is. Debbie truly stands out, and there should be more people just like her. Debbie, thank you for making every visit special. You're the reason we keep coming back. Me and my family. That said, when I gave this positive feedback to the manager, her reaction was surprisingly unenthusiastic, almost as if she was bothered by the compliment. It was disappointing to see a manager not openly support and celebrate such an exceptional server like Debbie. A great manager should uplift their staff, especially when customers recognize their excellence. The manager said nothing and seemed very bothered (it seems to me she does not like Debbie). The only issue I have is the coffee is bitter and the roasted potatoes are always cold. This time my coffee was lukewarm. The service is usually fast and the service is pretty good. If you ask for anything they will get it for you. The food is good and most of the time steaming hot. My last visit the coffee was hot and it was definitely not bitter. The worst First Watch location. Will be calling corporate tomorrow. This is my 3rd time at this location and it's always bad. This occasion the restaurant was dirty, bathrooms were dirty, booth was dirty, and service was terrible. Bun man the manager needs to be replaced asap. He's not friendly at all and doesn't seem to know how to run a restaurant I ordered the half roast beef sandwich and kale salad. I get my sandwich but no horseradish sauce that is supposed to go with it , plus it was cold. When my server finally came around 15 minutes later I asked her about it. She say oh yah we're out of that. I told her I didn't want the sandwich then. So I ordered the ham sandwich instead. Finally 20 minutes later it comes out burnt, like intentionally over cooked. I said just give me a box and left. I could stand another minute there. I now live in Florida and go to the Cape Coral location and never has had a bad experience. Corporate really needs to clean that location up because it sucks, and again that manager is so bad. read more

The food was great! Service - meh...but hey, we were here to eat, so all in all it was a very good experience. We came toward the end of the mid-day rush, and it seems everyone may have been a bit frazzled. A host came up and showed us to a table, without asking if we wanted inside or outside. Our server arrived after about 5 minutes and took our drink orders. She forgot to bring a fruit slice for my wife's water - again not a big thing, but another small miss. We put in our food orders, and a runner brought them out very quickly. I got the Cobb Salad, which had loads of toppings and very good lettuce, and my wife got the Kale Salad, which was also fresh, and full of flavor. My Cobb had great Blue Cheese crumbles - hearty flavor and plenty of them. The ranch that came with my salad was fine, but it didn't really need much dressing as the flavor combination of the toppings was enough without it. The dressing for my wife's salad was was very good - tangy and nicely flavored. Our server looped back quickly when we were about 3/4 done with our salads to check in and then brought the bill, which you pay at the counter. Very good food, and we may have caught a couple of the employees at a bad time, but would definitely go back. read more

Listen, first watch has got a new menu and I'm here for all of it. I'm and avid first watch goer and have been for years now, I have my usual picks but have been switching it up lately. Last time I got their superseed protein pancakes w their butterfly pea drink and it was really hot but this time?!!! I got something totally different I don't remember this name but it's a vegetarian sandwich with avocado, beet, sweet potato cucumber and more. The varying textures was a pleasant surprise and the taste blended beautifully I also ended up getting a waffle because we stayed long and it's my fave 10/10 would recommend, they never disappoint read more

Firstly, *my* food (Market Hash) was delicious. My husband's food (French Toast) was so soggy that unfortunately he couldn't stomach most of it. But Cheryl is what REALLY left a bad taste in our mouths. From the beginning, she rushed us through ordering, asking if we knew what we wanted before I had actually sat down to the table. Then when the food came, she said, "Here you go!"...and walked away. Absolutely no pleasantries whatsoever, such as do you need anything/does everything look okay/you guys enjoy...nothing. Then, no exaggeration, about 3 minutes later, she leaves our check on the table and never came back. We were flabbergasted. In total, we had only been IN the restaurant for 20 minutes at that point and we hadn't even eaten our food. I had to go to the host's stand to get my own box. This isn't the first time we have had bad service here....last time I didn't even get my water until my food was on the table. But at least then, the server was apologetic. So moral of the story is- even though the prices suggest finer dining, don't expect to get good service here. And if you decide to go anyway, DEFINITELY avoid Cheryl....you will just be taking up her precious time by trying to come in and have a nice breakfast there, apparently. It wasn't busy at all when we walked on around 9am on Tuesday 4/25. I've never had a "waitress" not check in, that's like rookie 101 stuff. Now I'm not one to bring race into anything but I couldn't help but notice how different her "service" was with my sister and I (Hispanic) compared to another pair of customers that came in (Caucasian). She didn't mind that the man didn't have his ID at all and she was actually friendly to them & checked in on them. I had to flag down the cashier to bring us the check since Megan clearly wasn't doing her one job. We then found out when Megan came to finally get our plates (still didn't see how everything was) that we had to pay up at the front. Say that from the beginning! How frustrating this experience was is beyond me. Two days later & I'm now writing a review about it because it was that awful. Management - do better with hiring your staff. If you want to level up the game on traditional American breakfast, look no further. Everything will be delicious and done perfectly. The atomosphere and ambiance is a modern-country meets big city. First Watch will make Denny's and Cracker Barrel look like McDonalds. However, note that this quality will come at a price. TExpect to pay between $12-20 a plate. The service can be hit or miss. I've been to ones where they have a sweet country love, and others with a New York style "WHATTA YA WANT." I had the toffee coffee and it was really tasty, not as sweet as I would have expected. It was just right. We ordered the "million dollar bacon" and it definitely was million dollar bacon! The strips were long but they weren't super crispy, but that's ok! I had the French toast and my boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. Both were outstanding. My pieces of French toast were very large. I could only eat one piece. Our waitress was SO friendly! I wish I would've gotten her name for a shoutout. She was great from the moment we sat down. First Watch gets very busy for breakfast so get there early or be prepared to wait a little bit. I enjoyed the decor, it was modern and well lit. It wasn't too bright. First watch is overrated. The wait time is always ridiculous, even when you do the waitlist ahead of time. When they texted us to tell us the table was ready and we arrived they then said it wasn't ready because it needed to be cleaned. Then when we watched them "clean it" all they did was wipe a dirty cloth around the table which was still filled with crumbs afterwards.
