First time at this location, and it was great. You must wear masks, and the restaurant is hiring. Beatriz was our waiter, and she was very attentive and friendly. I don't eat breakfast meat, so I had the mushroom and cheddar cheese omelette. Also I ordered red potatoes, grits and sour cream for the potatoes. For my drink, I had hot chocolate. My Husband had eggs, red potatoes, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly. We will definitely be back soon. :-) read more

I came here for a solo brunch expecting a quiet casual meal, but they must not be used to people dining alone. A waitress that was not even assigned to my table decided she needed to come over and ask me repeatedly in an aggressive and loud voice why I was there alone at an empty table. The food is always good and consistent at this location, and the staff are probably the best IHOP staff I have ever encountered.

I had to use the restroom before our meal, and unfortunately the strong sewer smell left a bad first impression. The bathroom was also dirty, I can't believe there isn't more complaints. It's a diner. And as far as diners go, food is very good and nobody goes away hungry. Virtually all breakfasts come with a side of pancakes and selection of 4 different syrups. I prefer the omelettes which are large and full of goodies. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. We can be a little demanding sometimes with several different egg preparation styles. And they never give us attitude or roll eyes at us. The cooks always prepare the food as requested. And for a diner, the presentation can be better than some restaurants. The restaurant is always clean and carpets swept. Silverware and glassware is clean as well. Be cautious on Sunday's after about 10:00am. The church crowd can make the wait about 30 minutes or so. read more

Ordered an omelet and asked for avocado. They forgot to bring it out so I asked again when I got my food. Once they brought it out I tried it and it was super hard. Not ripe at all. I couldn't eat any of it. Wish they would have just said they were out than bring me that. Also after I told the waiter the issue they still charged me extra for it. just wow!!!!! Sat down relatively quickly. Waitress was great. 10/10 service!!!!!!!!!!!!! The view was great and was really brought together by the wildlife outside. Two birds sat outside the window and watched as I took bites out of my food. At first, I felt somewhat nervous by their sudden appearance but :). STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! We were so hopeful after a late night birth of our grandson that we could get a bite next to our hotel. Nothing special...just a bite of diner food. Too bad we chose this train wreck. Service was understaffed. There was one waitress that was doing her best. Amber, you were very nice and polite, even under these understaffed conditions. I regret not giving you a single cent of a tip, but you will have to take that up with your idiot manager, for what he did to me. More on that later.... One other customer asked, "well, where is the manager"? And the waitress replied, he is cooking". My wifes waffle was OK. My kids pancake was ok. I am sure they get sick of drawing little faces and shit on pancakes. The real problem was the french toast. Now I dont like what french toast has become. Filled with all kinds of gloppy stuffings and drenched in sticky berry stuff. I want french toast. Just plain french toast. I will pay the eight bucks for the fancy french toast dish. Just make mine plain. Hold the pudding and half rotted berries and syrupy glop. I will still pay you eight bucks for three slices of bread cut diagonally. How do you screw up french toast you ask? YOU BURN THE SHIT OUT OF IT, THATS HOW. (see picture below) Then you put the burned sides down on the plate hoping the drunks won't notice. I asked to speak with the manager, who as it turns out whom admitted that he burned my food before I told him what was wrong with it. So he DID try and get burned french toast past me hoping I would just douse it in crappy corn syrup. I told him I was not paying. Good thing he was so stoned and calm because I was not happy that I put that burned toast in my mouth and you served it to me knowingly. I put that burned shit in my mouth you asshole. Here is the kicker, I ask him jokingly still trying to be nice, where I can get some good food at this late hour and he suggests, "well steak and shake is still open..." What an experience. I have never before not tipped a waitress. Even when the service is bitchy or apathetic I still tip % 10 because waiting tables sucks and it is hard work and the idiot in the kitchen screws you. When my meal is just a few bucks, I round it up to a fiver at least as the smallest tip I am willing to leave, because wait staff still had to hoof it to my table. Amber, tell that idiot manager that he owes you the five bucks I normally throw down as my "smallest tip custom". Better yet, go work in an office or some place that your calm demeanor under pressure will be rewarded. read more

I've been to this IHOP many times and always love the food not matter what I get! The only down grade I would have to say was it was beyond FREEZING in the restaurant. I understand it is heating up outside but there is no reason to have an ice box inside. I would recommend coming to this IHOP it is one of the best that I have been too as long as you bring your jacket. read more

Absolutely ridiculous service. My husband and I went to meet up with another couple for dinner there. They gave us our first drinks and then completely ignored our table for over 30 minutes. There were barely any other customers in the restaurant. And if I had to hear "I'll get your server" one more time, I might just scream. Food was mediocre at best. Wow this place has gone downhill. First off, im start by saying ihop is, or now in this case, was my favorite breakfast place in peru until this morning. We arrived at 12 or so, it took almost 20 minutes just to get my coffee, already a bad start. My lady and i ordered an appetizer pladder, me the Colorado omlete and her strawberry crepes. 30 minutes inch by before our appetizer shows up and even before eating an onion ring and a tender the rest of our food arrives. The omlete looked like someone dropped all the eggs and other items in a meat grind and slopped onto a plate, her food was equally dissapointing... We wanted to try Ihop tonight because we have not been there in awhile. We waited for our food for about a half hour. They were busy when we got there. When we did get our food my gravy was cold, the biscuit was hard, and the toast was stale. I let our waitress know and she took care of it. We did leave her a decent tip because it was not her fault. We went there 2 mornings in a row as we were staying at the hotel next door. We had 2 completely different experiences. The first morning it was busy although we were seated right away. It took a very long time for the server to come to the table and just as long to get our drinks. The food was excellent! The next morning was great. I asked if they had cappuccino and she laughed at me and said "uh we've never had cappuccino just coffee" then came back with it and said here's your "cappuccino" and did air quotes while she laughed at me. After that she only allowed us MAYBE 2 minutes to look over our menu. Then she made a big fuss about my boyfriend getting extra sausage with his eggs and we had to spell it out for her because she kept getting confused. I just ate at this IHOP in Peru on a Saturday night at 8 o'clock. Despite there being only a handful of other guests, it took 35+ minutes for our food to arrive. In this vast span of wasted time, all of my party's drinks went empty and took several minutes to be refilled. In addition to the extraordinarily inconvenient wait, the restaurant's phone at the hostess stand rang multiple times before one of the many (over staffed yet under productive) waitresses went to answer it just as the call ended. When our food finally came, my party's guest were missing their side dishes and toast. I was quite appalled when I received my toast. My "toast" was barely toasted, soggy, and limp. The inadequate hospitality, lengthy wait, and lackluster food preparation resulted in a dreadful overall dining experience. read more

I was served burnt pancakes. They weren't that bad but they also weren't that good. Waitress offered to bring me new pancakes but I declined because the service was slow. It bothers me that I was served the burnt pancakes in the first place and then asked if everything looked okay. The top pancake was flipped over to hide the side that was burned. read more

Contrary to popular belief, IHOP does not know how to make good pancakes, and this store in Peru is no exception. I ordered the Multigrain Pancakes and my wife ordered eggs over easy. The chef cooked the eggs so hard, there was no runny yoke what so ever. The yoke was cooked completely hard - through and through. The primairy purpose of cooking eggs over easy is to have some runny yoke. I suggest they send their chefs to cooking school so that they may learn how to cook eggs. Now on to the Multi grain. I only have my pancakes at home with 100 percent pure maple syrup - like from a Maple tree.... I asked the waitress if they serve 100 percent pure maple syrup - or if they provide high fructose corn syrup flavored with maple. She said she did not know and would go and ask. She came back and said that their syrup is not high fructose corn syrup but made with corn syrup instead - as if that was any better LOL. A good pancake house will offer pure maple syrup. So I ordered my pancakes without syrup as sometimes I do. Now the problem with these pancakes, is that they are EXTREMELY dry. When you cut them with your fork they fall apart and crumble. I was thinking as I ate them that I would do just as well as to eat the raw flour and nuts out of the box because the pancakes were so dry. I came to the conclusion that the purpose of the corn syrup is to act as a glue or binding agent to hold the pancakes together as you eat them so the do not fall apart on your plate. The staff at this restaurant however is not to blame, because this is a corporate run company and all of their stores are required to follow the same bill of materials and cooking instructions - which means that ALL of their stores are just as bad as this one. This is the problem with corporate run restaurant - if one is bad, they are ALL bad. Lastly, I ordered the hash browns and wanted onions in them. They said that onions in hash browns are a dollar extra which is completely absurd. This is the only restaurant that I have eaten in that charges extra to put onions in hash browns. Onions are cheap to begin with and not much is needed in hash browns so it is clear that IHOP food is not only lousy, they price gouge as well. When we pay 25 dollars for breakfast for two we expect much better. Despite the terrible food, the wait staff was professional and polite, so we left them a tip because it was not their fault. They do a good job despite the situation and it is sad to see their hands tied by corporate HQ with poor cooking instructions lousy ingredients and completely incompetent corporate management. Lastly make sure you bring some fiber tablets because you will need them after eating their pancakes devoid of enough fiber for a healthy b movement. Sadly this morning, my wife and I were swindled. One would be better off to patronize any local breakfast place that knows how to cook with good ingredients - or if not available, watch the cooking shows. One can easily learn to make better pancakes at home. People in farm country deserve better. read more
