I took my three grand children there; all small under 6. They wanted red velvet pancakes. I am not familiar with this, so I told the waitress they wanted red velvet pancakes and chocolate milk. My husband and I got burgers. When the food came out it was a stack of pancakes about 4 I think, they each ate maybe one and a half, because it was too sweet to eat much, but got seconds on the milk. When the bill came, it was 60.00 plus tip! The waitress did not tell me that the meal would have been cheaper, that there was s small size for children, that they were all you can eat. The kids were looking for food when we got home, I could have gone for a seafood dinner and it would have been much cheaper. I was one of 3 tables in there, she should have explained my options. She even charged me 1.50 for refills on the 2 plus dollar drink. I can only believe that she wanted the tip to reflect the charges. I will never take the kids there again. We had to ask for spoons for our coffee, received only one napkin- the one the knife and fork was wrapped in and getting a second cup of coffee was like the last straw of bothering my waitress! Bless her lil blond short ponytail wearing baby face looking self. We asked for change from our tip and the look we received... Did not feel welcome at all! read more

Pancakes were good but nothing else was. Service was so/so and eggs and hash browns sat under a heat lamp too long and were not edible. Want breakfast? Go to the Panera in the Staples shopping center down the street. read more

This place has only gotten worse as time goes on. I've been 3 times and never waited less than 15 minutes to order and then another 1/2 hour at least to get our food. None of the times was peak time and once we (4 of us) were the only table in the restaurant. it took 25 mins to get 2 ice cream sundaes and an order of cheese sticks. My iced tea was in a filthy glass and the huff i received when i asked for a fresh glass was ridiculous. I come from and was with a polite people. we don't dog waitresses and we please and thank you and your welcome when appropriate. So for me to get as fed up as I did that night says something. After waiting so long for our food ( the cheese sticks BTW were burnt on the outside and still frozen in the center, sent them back they recooked the burnt sticks to melt the centers while the outsides were incinerated) , we finally wanted to just pay our bill and go. We stood at the register for 15!!!!! minutes and no one came out of the kitchen - including manager and waitress - to even check on our table. Finally i noticed the microphone that they announce parties with hanging on the wall. I waited 5 more minutes and then i pressed the "key" on the mic. it made a little sound over the intercom. We waited 5 more minutes and I figured...what the hell. I keyed the mic again and announced that we'd waited for 15 minutes to be rung up and they had 30 seconds to come take our money or we'd be leaving without paying. Which we shouldn't have had to pay anyway seeing as the food and service was total crap. The waitress and the manager came running out of the kitchen like their hair was on fire. Any apologies? NOPE. Just more huffing as we were rung up. I let the manager have a piece of my mind and we left. I swore I'd never go back. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!! They need to start training the people who work there. read more

Surprisingly good. Stopped in for a quick bite. Clean, service was lovely, coffee was good and my omelet was perfect.

My review is only of the food and service for carry out which were about as good as you can expect from IHOP. I am not brave enough to dine in and cannot imagine that would be too wonderful of an experience. Parking is bad but fine if you don't need to drag a litter of kids across the parking lot and street. read more

I generally give people the benefit of the doubt, however, my experience today warranted special news...do NOT go to this I-Hop if you are looking for even-near service, or food quality!! Initially, it appeared that my husband's and my experience would be okay! I-Hop is not a five star restaurant however it does possess a license to serve food to the public...the food was mediocre but the service was AWFUL! We had requested sausage with our eggs and hash browns...it arrived with bacon. We quickly informed our waiter who apologized and brought the sausage BUT asked for the bacon back so he could return it to the kitchen. Okay, humorous, but not too bad! Next, we gave our waiter a coupon that was smaller than a stamp with lots of writing on it...after a brief delay, the manager came with the bill and said it was not applicable as we had not purchased a beverage, as requested. My husband obliged by asking for two cokes. Fine, problem solved! However, when the final bill was paid with a credit card, the waiter failed to return the receipt which gave the code number to rate this particular I-Hop and, in turn, to receive four pancakes free of charge. I assure you that four free pancakes were not really important to us. We did want to make a point about the service, however. My husband asked why we had not been given the receipt, and our wonderful and intelligent waiter replied that he did not know. My husband became a little firmer, requesting the receipt and our waiter actually found the missing "document." The most interesting part of our I-Hop experience, however, was when we returned home! We immediately dialed the 1-800 number and attempted to enter our "code " from the receipt that had been "lost." Guess what!! That "code" had already been used! My objection to this restaurant is not due to the mediocre food and poor service. My 1 star rating (and I feel that I am being generous!) is because of the obvious dishonesty and ethics involved in reporting a poorly run restaurant to the powers that be. Awful!! No utensils on table and long wait for them. Beverages delayed as waitress had to slice oranges for hot apple cider. Long wait for food. Pancakes on plate so small that no room to cut, no butter etc. Eggs barely cooked and on and on. All around us waiting for silverware also. Waitress setting and bussing and maybe cooking. This place needs a manager!!! read more

Just went there this Valentines Morning for breakfast. Service is great. Food was great. Had an omelet. I was worried I would get heavy greasy food like some other breakfast places. Lots of vegetables and they wrap their omelet in spinach. Even during Valentines morning their service was good. The restaurant was packed and they were able to accommodate me. read more

7/1/11- we waited over 40mins. for our order. the eggs were runny, i did not get my hot cakes my wife's whip cream was melting off of her waffle before she could eat it.the hot cakes with our order did not get to our table untill 15mins later after we ate our main meal. the waitress took our silverware after we eat so i had to ask for more silverware .by the time i got my fork the cakes were cold. never again-were going backto bob evans! read more

Sat at a dirty table that had to be cleaned while we were seated. Ordered coffee that was served in a cup which had lipstick on it. When we alerted our waiter, he took the mug and returned it and it was clear that he only wiped the lipstick off and didn't exchange the mug. The final thing we noticed was the coffee urn had butter smeared on the side of it. read more

In August, 2017, my husband had a Lone Star tick bite which produces a deadly allergy to mammal meet. It's called "alpha gal deficiency." Folks with this problem go into anaphalactic shock if they eat any foods even touched by red meat or red meat products. On Thursday, July 5th, my husband and I ate a spinach and mushroom omelet at IHOP in Prince Frederick, MD. Within hours, my husband was on the way to our local hospital, in anaphalaxis from the omelet at IHOP. How do we know this? Because of timing. 4 hours after eating a contaminated food, the allergy kicks in. He was hospitalized for 4 days. Now, the IHOP menu states to tell your server if you have a food allergy - which we did. The menu also states that they cannot guarantee no contamination. SO, IF YOU HAVE ANY TYPE OF FOOD ALLERGY, DO NOT EAT AT IHOP!!!! You could suffer severe results from the cross-contamination and IHOP doesn't care!!!!!! It's all about the money to them and cooking all foods on the same, unclean grill doesn't matter. read more

I've been this IHOP several times over the last few years and it has gotten increasingly worst. I went there 1/16/17 and got the worst service ever from Aleta. First of all she didn't provide silverware and when I asked her for it she never came back. I ended up getting it from one of the busboys. When I told her we'd gotten the silverware from the busboy she said 'oh good you got it from my co-worker'. When she finally came back with the food, the eggs were barely warm. I know in the time that it took her they had been ready and she'd neglected to pick up the order. We then asked for more sugar for our coffee and this took another 10 minutes. Absolutely the worst service ever and that was my last trip there. read more
