We had a curbside pickup order. Picked it up and drove home, and they missed half of the stuff that was ordered! their resolution was to 'give a coupon for a free meal. There were four meals ordered! Ive been here before, I really liked it but currently sitting here I've been waiting at least 15 minutes for a coffee cup! My family has been waiting fir drinks for 20 minutes. The service is sooooo slow. The restaurant was was empty and we waited 10 minutes just to be seated, if your looking for a good breakfast go next store to cracker barrel. We visited Richmond Indiana IHOP Aug, 24th 2018 at 11:15 pm, As the manager was taking us to our seats a waitress comes barreling through insisting we be seated in her section because her tables are "all gone". She actually had 3 tables with customers, all waiting. She finally comes to take our order and doesn't write anything down ( for 3 people), then as soon as she takes our order she stops at the next table to take a table of 4's order, again no writing down. Over the next 30 minutes she returns to our table TWICE to Re-Take our order, still not writing, all the while explain to us (and Every other table along the way) about how she has a learning disability, she's fragile, be very careful with her...and our order STILL had not been entered in, written down or remembered. Poor service. Cold food. There was a long black hair curled around water glass when it was brought to table. Asked for lemon wedges three times. Third time we received an eye roll with the "yes of course, right away". Husband's drink, asked multiple times for a refill, had to get a manager for that to happen. More than half the store was empty, took 48 minutes for our food to come out. My breakfast was cold. Asked four times when were the biscuits that came with order going to come out. Manager brought toast. Sent it back, server brought an order of biscuits and gravy not the biscuit that came with meal. Then charged us for a full order of biscuits and gravy. The chocolate pancakes came out without sauce. Another order in our group never received hash browns that should have come with order. Manager didn't bother to explain if they were short staffed, etc... There were four servers and a manager. No apologies from server or management. Will not recommend this IHOP to anyone read more

The service from the waiter that I had was excellent. Very upbeat, professional and helpful. I've had the same waiter a few times that I have been there and never was our order wrong and he was always friendly. The food isn't bad but could be better. Once the pancakes seemed like they were under the heat lamp a little too long. The coffee is not the best at all and it was cold coffee. That's about all... I love the service but with bad coffee and cold food (happened only once) it's not a bad place to eat every once in a while. read more

I needed to do some work on a road trip so came here because I saw they had wifi...it was basically worthless. It's IHOP people, relax. The only real time to eat here is when there's nothing else open or you're so tired the quality is negligible. I'll say this to the local place...it's better than most. I eat there when I get off work and everything else is closed. After just two or three visits, the waitress remembered my drink order and my little quirky add-ons. That was a nice touch. I Waited for almost an hour with out being seated. I was told 15 min wait 4 times before asking to see the manager. She seated us and then put us into the land of invisibility. No silverware, water just dumped a stack of sticky menus on the table and never returned. The waitress took great pains to ignore us , until after we had been seated for 20 minutes (1:20 total) we got up to leave. She she shot a remark out of "sure you are leaving after you just got a waitress..I didn't ever know you were there" we were a party of 16 that had already split into 2 groups. There were 16 other guests at 6 tables total. On the way out I asked to speak to the manager. I informed here that we were leaving and why. After a turned my back and was walking out of the door the manager called me an asshole infront of her employees and the other members of my party. If you are near there and hungry, seriously consider sitting down next to the homeless guy close to McDonald's and asking him to share. You will probably have a better experience than IHOP. read more

Woke up craving pancakes & decided to go to IHOP. Service was not good. Waited @ front to be seated & it took 5 minutes for someone to greet & seat me so that should have been my 1st clue that service would be sub par. When asked for my drink order, I requested coffee with cream & sugar & water. Several minutes later server brought coffee but no cream & sugar & no water. Asked her again for cream & sugar and by the time I received them, coffee was lukewarm. Got pancakes & they were pretty good but server never checked on me again. I had wanted a coffee refill but since she never came back, I was unable to request. With the slow & inattentive service, I decided that even if she did check on me I wasn't going to request a refill as I would have been waiting forever. Was done eating & waited another 5 minutes minimum for her to bring the bill which she never did so I just added up what I owed & left cash on the table to cover it (plus tip which I probably shouldn't have done) & departed the restaurant. I hate giving poor reviews & if you look at my previous reviews I usually have rated @ 4-5 stars. I especially hate giving a poor one during this unprecedented time when someone is just trying to make a decent living but I hope by giving my thoughts someone on the staff will take it to heart & try to improve. read more

The food was good. However, our server was terrible. She messed up our drink orders & my food order. Even after I said it was wrong, she said it was right. Thankfully another server nearby saw it & corrected it. Then she asked me at least a half dozen times if I wanted the wrong order & when I said no, another server came & asked me again. I was on a road trip with my family; I'm not taking a giant sandwich with me. The restaurant was not busy; our server only had one other table & they weren't getting service either. We didn't get our check right away so while my family waited, I used the restroom. The server was in there doing her hair. Clearly she didn't want to be there & should look for another job. Great place for breakfast food all day. They have a good regular lunch and dinner menu. My daughter loves their strawberry sauce for the pancakes. I like the idea of having several different syrup for your pancakes. read more

IHOP is my absolute favorite restaurant. I live over a half hour away from Richmond and will sometimes just drive up there just to eat IHOP. The food is absolutely wonderful. The service is very fast and easy and the waiters are always very nice and respectful. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! read more

Normally I don't give out 1 stars (The only other one I think was at a restaurant that was closed). Recently my family and I went to the local IHOP to try to get a late night breakfast. I only saw two other groups of people sitting at the IHOP. There was also a family in front of us, So I didn't think they would be too busy. So we went in. I was talking to the family in front of us and they said they had been waiting almost 10 minutes to be seated. With the IHOP not that busy that seemed excessive to me but think this late we don't have a lot of options so we would wait. 15 minutes later we were finally seated. We looked at the menu, and talked about life, and looked at the menu some more. Almost 20 minutes after being seated we were finally approached about what we wanted to drink. We asked if we could go ahead and order food, since we were already there. The waitress said of course so we did. Then it was back to waiting, and waiting. Another family came in and was almost immediately seated and waited on. Not only that, within minutes had their drinks. This was a little aggravating to say the least. Same number of people almost identical drinks (3 sodas and a coffee). That was almost the last draw, but wait, there's more. The waitress came out ignored us and gave two of the three families around us refills of drinks. Keep in mind still haven't had the grace to give us our drinks yet. SO I had enough, we got up and left. Bad thing is, I don't think IHOP ever noticed. Will we be back? Probably not. I gave this 1 star but if there was a no-star option I would be forced to use that one. Can't vote on things like service and food, if you never received any. Left a really bad taste in my mouth. Server seemed alright at first but that would quickly change when we got our food. The water was really crisp and cold. The only good thing about the whole experience. I ordered coffee. It was barely hot and tasted really flat. Barely any favor. I ordered the big steak omelet with three pancakes. Food came out pretty quickly. I noticed the omelet was enormous. I'm used to seeing omelets much flat, this one looked really strange. Looked more like a burrito made of egg than actual omelet. Not complaining about extra food but it just looked weird to me. Took the first bite and was sort of enjoying it until I got to the hash browns. They were so mushy to the point where they resembled mash potatoes. I cannot eat really mushy foods so I was almost gagging. I barely ate the rest of it. The green peppers were raw and nearly cold. The steak in the omelet was tough and had no flavor at all. The egg part was rubbery and barely warm. Overall the entree had a horrible taste. The pancakes were okay but only because I poured a bunch of butter pecan syrup on on them. The server only came by once. I complained politely about the omelet and asked if the hash browns inside are supposed to be mushy. She gave me a dirty look and I said I can't eat it. Did not offer to replace with something else, take it off the bill, or even get the manger. I understand the food is not her fault but she should of offered something to make the dining experience better. The manager heard the whole thing but just looked at us as we walked by. Like I said the best thing about the meal was the water. I really like IHOP and was excited to eat here but I was extremely disappointed by a sloppy and ruined dinner.
