the only reason this post gets 3 stars is because the food was so damn good but the SERVICE was horrible. it wasn't even our servers fault. the other server totally sat her a table NOT in her section so she had every right to be pissed. BUT when 3 different parties got sat AFTER US and still got their food BEFORE us that's when i started to get frustrated. all we wanted was our burritos after waiting 50 minutes for them. not a good day for ihop in rolla if you wanna get customer service. also idk if it was a kitchen error but i've worked at restaurants and all i know is that if i were a KAREN the people there would've had a lovely show. read more

The food was good. Service was a little slow. Then I had to use the restroom. Sorry, I have to say this. When you go into the stall and sit down, to your left there is a huge gap between the stall and the wall. So when someone comes in to use the urinal they literally have their privates at eye level just a few feet from your face. It's sick and it's disgusting. How awful that a anyone has to be exposed to that. This restaurant has been open for long enough now to have this problem fixed. Shame on whoever designed it. WARNING to parents... Order a burger on a Sunday night. (Very slow inside) we ordered the "Brunch Burger" and it was served raw. The burger was not cooked fully and was bloody when you pushed down on it. Our server (Jessica) at the time, was very sweet and took care of our problem. She apologized for a problem that was not her fault and helped out with what she could. The manager did nothing besides give us another burger. He didn't apologize or ask what the problem or how he could resolve it. Very disappointed in the food and management there. The I Hop in Rolla, MO cured us on eating at one again. Food was cold and service very slow. Tables were too close for comfort.

I've gone to this ihop a couple times and only once or twice I can say I've legitimately had a 3 star experience. The servers are rude and ignore you. When they look at you it's as if they only care about your tip and hurry you through your meal. My most recent trip here I walked in and the ac was blasting ridiculously low to the point where I was freezing in July. Also we sat there for a good 5 minutes and no one took our drink order or said anything to us even though 2-3 servers walked by our table. I couldn't stand the temperature so I walked out without ordering. I've been to this place before and refused food they served me, from home fries to grilled onions. I had to give the dish back and tell them to make it again because it looked pathetic. You have to stick up for your self here or they run all over you. You would only come here if you were a true ihop fan because there are not any other IHOP's in the area. read more

Came today after seeing some updated reviews. We got here at 11. We were seating immediately and our server let us know she knew she was here and would be with us shortly. We ordered our food and drinks together as we knew what we wanted. My kids ordered the Christmas hot chocolate, and I got a coffee along with my other daughter. The manager came and dropped off our drinks quickly and even poured our coffee cups for us. He was very friendly and nice. Our food came out very quickly and accurate! I ordered the slim breakfast with avocado on the side, my daughter got the 2x2x2 with upgraded pancakes (cannoli), my son got the funny face pancake breakfast and my other daughter got the feast ice pancake breakfast. Everything was delicious, hot and on point. No one had any complaints. Overall, my family left full and satisfied and I have no regrets eating here. The improvements in staff and management are amazing. We will be back again! read more

I walked in and three parties walked in behind me; two parties have two persons and one having five persons respectively. The parties behind me were seated before me and I was told to wait. I'm pretty sure it was because they were white and I am black. I wasn't told any different so I'm going to assume that as there was not one black persons in the restaurant not working there as far as I saw. It's crazy that it's 2018 and people think they can alter customer service based on skin color. I won't ever eat at this ihop and will tell all of my fellow black Soldiers I'm stationed with at Fort Leonard Wood not to eat there because their money is not welcome there. We just went to the IHOP in Rolla, MO. We got seated quickly. Once we were sat we waited 20 minutes and got up and left. Nobody came to take our drink order or anything. We got all our kids coats back on and left. When we were leaving we asked to speak to a manager and the lady said she was the manager and before my husband could speak she said "hold on I'll be right back". They were not even busy. We are very disappointed and won't be returning. read more

Came in to get some breakfast for dinner. Got seated right away. Sat at the table looking at the menu deciding what we wanted. We had sat there long enough to decide what we wanted and haven't even gotten a drink order in. At this point one server had walked past us twice and hadn't even given us notice. We sat there a little longer and waited to get service. At this point we had been there for 10 minutes and no one had came to take our order. Then the same server from earlier walked back by us, then another server did the same thing. Neither of them even asked if we had been helped. We sat there another 5 minutes and nada. Finally we got up and left after sitting there for nearly twenty minutes and hadn't even gotten a drink order in. And to boot, we were the one other table in the place. We had supper here on the 22 of May 2020. When we entered there were only 2 tables full. The restaurant was in terrible condition as food was all over the dining room floor and the staff didn't appear too concerned about it. We were seated in a booth that was very wet with bleach water and had to dry it ourselves so as not to ruin our clothing that touched it. Ordering was fine but when the food came what a nightmare. Plates were set and no silverware or condiments. Waitress actually asked us if we needed anything else...well ya! After four very lengthy trips to our table we had what we needed but the horror didn't end there. One order was a southwest breakfast. I didn't know scrambled eggs with sloppy cheese was southwest. The pancakes were awesome! However the biscuits and gravy looked like 2 thick saucers with a spoonful of gravy on each.....it didn't even run off the sides because there was such a small amount. moving on to the burger with bacon and barbeque sauce it took a minute to find the sauce!!! It looked as if it had been carefully placed with an eyedropper and was basically undetectable! And please lets not forget the sunrise breakfast. Probably could have passed for a meal had it not been held together with long black hair....3 that I found. Honestly we should have left and refused this mess had it not been for the very inexperienced waitress who was trying hard to be very nice but just didn't have a clue how to do her job. And am I imagining this or did prices jump? $11 a plate for this CRAP? Sadly we will not return to this fiasco, nor will we recommend it to ANYONE! what a disappointment to such an amazing franchise that supports the Shrine Hospitals and other charities. A nice clean place to dine, albeit a bit noisy at times - and I'm referring to the kitchen staff and servers. I'm certainly NOT impressed by the wait staff. They are courteous enough but generally don't check on you, your meal or your satisfaction more than once or twice...at least mine didn't. But they sure make sure you get your checkfor the meal. I chalk it up to lack of experience, lack of supervision and/or training and a laissez-faire attitude. The food is good, the portions are fairly large, the prices are reasonable and competitive. We are very happy to have IHOP in our town. Their menu is good. Something different is refreshing. Their food has always been good. I've been here approx 4 times. Each time I've been here, the service is terrible. It takes forever to be acknowledged for drinks. Today, our waitress was at the table next to us approx 3 times and then walked away to clean a dirty table (yuk and she is handling our food). We actually called to her by name and asked "do you know who our waiter is?" She says Oh, it's me. I'm sorry, I didn't see you there (after approx 10 minutes of passing right by). She struggled taking the order as if she doesn't know the menu, and then came back to ask questions about what we ordered that really didn't make sense. Will be interesting to see what shoes up. I believe the problem is ZERO leadership. People are wandering around aimlessly. Most of the wait staff look like first time servers from the college. I blame management for lack of training these young people. While the restaurant is nice and the food is good, it severely lacks in service and that will drive us away from what could be a very good addition to Rolla. One other thing is that the way the restaurant is laid out, all of the staff seems to congregate at the front door, which gives the appearance that they are not working. Currently, there are 7 employees just standing around the hostess stand. The issue here is poor management and lack of training. I feel these young servers have the desire to do a good job, they are just undertrained. Well, we ordered a turkey sandwich on rye and now 30 minutes later the server stops by to say that our order is almost ready but they just ran out of Rye. Seriously! I went to I Hop today . I ordered eggs, bacon and hash browns. The bacon was limp and under cooked. The hash browns had funny taste. The waitress asked how I liked it and I told her that I didn't like it at all. She said she was sorry and asked if she could get me anything else and I said no I didn't have time. Horrible! I felt bad for the waiter. Ordered a build your own melt sandwich which is new on the menu I guess. Came back to tell me they were out of mushrooms and onions....I said fine. Then i get an omlette instad of the sandwich....eye roll.came back with the sandwich and i made the fatal mistake of asking for mayo. They scrounged up a packet from some where and told me that was all they had! But wait....there's more. My daughter orders the steak and eggs with a crepe on the side. She asked for the steak rare and no hashbrowns. He brought out what resembled a steak. It was gray and paper thin except for the massive bone (tbone). And yes hashbrowns. We waited forever for the waiter to come back so that she could get a steak knife! Didn't bother to ask if she wanted sauce....and left my empty glass on the table. The food was cold...steak was not rare and looked extremely gross and the crepe they brought was hanging off the sides of the plate on the table. They gave us a whopping 50 cent discount and didnt charge for the omlette. It will be a very longggg time before I go back if ever! How are they in business? read more

This was an awful experience! From the greeting to departure, there was very little that was good. First, the host spent way too much time trying to figure out where he was going to seat us. There was only a couple of customers in the restaurant (should have told me something) at the time, but he acted like he was struggling to figure it out. Once seated, we were greeted by a friendly, but shy and unsure waitress. When we ordered, she got my wife's order all wrong. Rather than making a scene about it, my wife just ate what she was brought. Our glasses were never refilled, even though I was asked if I wanted a refill, to which I responded "Please". Three or four of the staff had nothing to keep them occupied, so they spent the whole time in the dining room talking. When we left, we weren't acknowledged, let alone thanked for coming in. I'm not used to service this poor, so I hope the Rolla IHOP figures it out soon or they will be gone. read more

On June 20th, about 2pm, I ate at the new IHOP . I had a waitress I believe whose name was Loretta. A true professional. An excellent waitress. She was prompt, very polite and friendly. I had the sirloin tip dinner, which was served to me very promptly. The meat was cooked to perfection. That is where all the positives end. The meat serving was extremely small, the mash potatoes were very cold and the corn serving was also extremely small. In short the dinner was nothing more than a child's plate. I was so hungry when I left I went straight home and fixed myself a sandwich and opened a can of soup. To add insult to injury, I only had a water with my meal and yet I still had to pay over $13 . I could had went to an all you can eat buffet restaurant for about $4 less . So typical of corporate restaurants, provide as little as possible and charge as much as you can. I remember the day when an IHOP was the place to go. Obviously those days are gone and IHOP will never see me again. read more

The food took forever and we both got food poisoning. My husband and I went to this iHop for late lunch the second week of July 2018. When we arrived, there were two other parties, each of two people, dining in the restaurant with an abundance of servers standing around. We were seated and ordered shortly after. I ordered the Classic Breakfast Crepe and my husband ordered a Burger and fries. We each decided to try some of the pancake specials so we ordered one Dutch chocolate stack and an order of the Tres Leches. It took over 45 minutes for our meal and the server forgot the Tres Leches so we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for those. We were told that there was only one cook on so that's why it was taking so long and that the new owners were coming in so the staff was focused on cleaning. We both were sick that evening and for two days after. We love iHop but this particular restaurant, we would NOT recommend. read more
