Excellent customer service! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were greeted by the staff. It wasn't too busy, but it was a Monday morning and it was a steady flow. My family and I were highly impressed with the cook. Not sure of his name (fellow with the beard) but he was like an octopus with his style of cooking! He was on it from prepping the waffles to flipping the hash browns, toast the bread, buttering it and slicing it! It was like a show while you eat. Even the waitresses were watching him go as they waited for their orders to finish. The food was "egg-cellent" and we were offered coffee to go which was a nice surprise! My family and I definitely recommend Waffle House and especially this location. Did I mention the cook even greeted us a farewell when we left. Didn't even know he realized we were there! This Waffle House had a parking lot configuration that allowed me to pull through two spaces with my 20 ft trailer and park easily. The staff here were super friendly and provided excellent service. I ordered a Cheeseburger Deluxe plate with Hash Browns. The food was great and exactly how I expected it to be. It was a hashbrown bowl with eggs (scrambled) cheese and sausage crumbles. Yes-I would definitely call it a heart attack in a bowl. It was delicious. I ate about half. My experience was very pleasant and I was attended to immediately. There wasn't much enthusiasm in the place but ordering was very straightforward and the menu was straightforward as well. People boast about the prices and the portions and I would agree that it is pretty satisfying food on any occasion that you're looking for something cheap and quick to eat. The waffle house is clean and tidy. All the food came out fresh and definitely hit the spot with sweet and salty. I made a joke about how I could make it my home to live there and the employee said that there wasn't a waffle House rule that said I couldn't . Our server was not only totally empathetic of my delay, but humorous about it. I ordered something small to peck on and the bf ordered a massive meal. Our food was what you'd expect from Waffle House. If you've never eaten there, think cheap, no frill, maybe after a night of drinking kind of food. It's a 2 or 3 stars kind of place for food. What's not to love about a Waffle House? You can sometimes catch some fancy grill tricks from any given front row seat in the house, they're open 24 hours (and so many of my visits have been under the influence), and the jukebox is full of songs about the restaurant chain itself (Waffle House March, anyone?). I enjoy a good greasy breakfast, and Waffle House has always been a solid bet for me - the immense value of the All-Star Special can't be beat. This Waffle House, though, is a glaring exception to my generally rosy feelings about the chain. I know it's not going to be gourmet food, but dang, can you actually toast my bread? Everything in my meal was bad in some way except the pancakes (coffee was weak but somehow still tasted burnt, ham tasted like it had turned bad, eggs were not made to my order, toast was basically bread, hash browns were undercooked). Same for my husband's plate. All this said, the service was very good. This visit really bummed me out for Rolla in general, as a sign outside said that this restaurant was voted 'the best breakfast in Rolla'....eeesh. read more

The lady who took our order was super sweet and amazing. Our food arrived super fast. The food looked great. Unfortunately on the other side of it the cooks struggled some. There wasn't onions or gravy on my husband's hash browns although the server did bring out gravy when we mentioned it and removed the charge for the onions. The waffle was underdone and the eggs still had obviously uncooked whites and the eggs were cooked over easy instead of over medium as requested. The flavor of the hash browns was great and they were well-cooked. I would probably return but would say something about the undercooked egged because that is a food safety issue. The food is ok, greasy most of the time (Most times I wipe the grease off myself.) and the place is generally filthy!! There are a couple of decent servers but the majority just don't give a damn about anything more than the over inflated paycheck they get. It took 5 minutes just to get a table wiped off. When it's 2:30a.m and you feel like munching it's gotta be waffles, right? Absolutely, I got pumped but only to be disappointed because I thought it was Huddle House coming through the first time. Never have I been in an actual Waffle House. Slightly excited to go to the real deal Waffle House ready to taste the waffle that I overplayed in my head. It had to be the floppiest waffle I've ever had. I mean I have had way better waffles at a motel free continental breakfast. A good waffle consists of a light fluffy crunch with a felony quantity of butter and syrup. Which brings me to the real issue at hand here. My Togo order contained 4 waffles, yet I seem to only get 2 syrups for two people and 4 buttercups. The waitress also sent me on my way without my coffee, however she managed unload like 13 plastic utinsil bundles in our Togo bag. I mean I appreciated it, but I ended eating my 2 waffles with a dipping cup size syrup and an artery clogging amount of syrup. I'm not sure if they were in a hurry to rush is out of the building with our order making me feel like I'm not priority as a paying customer or if it is a slacking employee I don't blame the company however I would like to maybe someday try to enjoy the legendary Waffle House waffle as it should be in its Glory though I have never had a Waffle House waffle so if that's it I'm going to stick with Huddle House from now on cuz they always got what I need read more

I was going to give only 4 stars because, well ... it's a Waffle House, not the Waldorf. However, I re- thought my decision and went with the full 5. There wasn't anything to not like. When I entered, I was greeted warmly by no less than 5 employees. Everyone was working hard but I was served quickly with exactly what I ordered and which was cooked the way I asked. While there, I was engaged in conversation as if I was one of the family. The employees laughed and joked and talked about their grandma's recipes. Came in for breakfast for dinner. We had a server named Tyler. He was serving the entire dining room, but had greeted us and given us our drinks within 3 minutes of us walking through the door. Went for breakfast and it was worst experience I have ever had. Waited over a half and hour for my food. Wanted eggs over medium came back hard as a rock. The cook josh kept taking his hat off and brushing his hands through his hair . Which is a health hazard because he went from doing that to making food disgusting! We're on a road trip right now and we just stoped for a quick bite. It was defiantly a happy surprise that the food was so good. The cook know what he's doing on that grill.
