I went to IHOP today.. best decision of my life my server was really nice and gave my friend big taco i was considering ordering the "Big Steak" but decided to back off. I got some pancakes and they were yummy. Also the place was very clean and filled with laughter and now memories that are in the past. "Memories bring back memories bring back- "IHOP" May 28 2025

I like the inexpensive dishes and pretty good service. I have always loved IHOP as a child and can still find dishes to enjoy as an adult

I was not in the mood for a veggie burger so I got a cheese bun, which is essentially a cheese sandwich but I added all the veggies and condiments that come with the burger. Threw in a side order of fries as well. After placing the order, we waited for the buzzer to go off. The cheese bun was big Ava surprisingly filling. It tasted a little like a burger that has meat in it. It was satisfying along depth my golden fries. As we dined, we noticed the roof was open and found out it is retractable which is so nice. We never noticed in the past as we come here in the winter or they didn't open it. It gave some natural lighting. I enjoyed that. Small Cheval is great, fries are the best. The workers are nice and it's a nice place to take visitors of dropping off or picking up from the airport. We will be back for sure.

For those who don't know, Small Cheval is the fast casual version of Au Cheval which I've had the opportunity to try in NYC. There's plenty of locations throughout Chicago so definitely make it a stop when you're in town. Now is it as good as Au Cheval? Definitely not but at one-third of the price point, it's hard to complain. The beef patties are well-seasoned with crispy edges and just the right amount of fattiness. My main complaint is that there wasn't nearly enough dijonnaise sauce or pickles, making this pretty dry. The bun was nicely buttered and toasted but almost took away from the contents inside the burger. The Famous Fried Chicken Tenders were also a good try. I could tell the chicken was clean & high quality but there was some flavor I couldn't quite place which made it a bit off-putting; thankfully it wasn't super noticeable especially with the sauces. The Golden Fries were delicious and paired well with the burger & tenders! Even the Cookies & Cream Milkshake was solid! Classic milkshake with a good balance of creaminess, sweetness, and texture from the cookie bits. The interior was also bright, spacious, and comfortable! All in all, really solid try!

Wonderful Rosemont spot for brunch!…read more Came for a late brunch with our pup and had a great time! The patio is dog friendly and inviting on a beautiful spring day! The service was excellent! Our server was attentive and so kind! She overheard my husband and I talking about getting two sandwiches and swapping half with each other. She brought our food out with the sandwiches cut and on separate plates. That extra touch was so awesome! Food was tasty and the cocktail I had was well balanced and refreshing! Their take on a traditional chicken sandwich was great! Their cheese curds were made with a beer batter that was delicious! Looking forward to another visit in the future!

Hostess came by after a couple minutes to give us the brunch menu. She had to ask her manager if she could bring us the lunch menu- it was around noon- which she did bring to us. Got the hush puppies appetizer which tasted old and dry. Both of us got the salmon scrambler, which had a few small pieces of salmon. Hash browns were dry potato cubes. Our server was brusque- maybe they were short-staffed? He dropped our food off on the table without a word and never checked back on us. He handed me the credit card machine to put my card into when we were done, without seeing an itemized bill like most restaurants. I only saw the final bill total. I regret giving the tip i gave but I felt pressured since he was right there with his credit card reader and selecting Custom Tip for lower than 20% felt awkward. This way of billing at a sit- down restaurant felt very shady and manipulative. Overall, not a good experience. Will not be going back.

I couldn't wait to turn someone on to this location. I took my 18 year old grandson to try the same thing I had eaten 2 nights prior. I REALLY talked up the place. He enjoyed his peri-peri wrap as well but I HAD to let him know that what we had for lunch today was NOT as fantastic as the one I had the first time. Don't get me wrong. It was good but DEFINITELY wasn't as delicious as before! So, I suggest if you wanna taste a phenomenal peri-peri wrap, go around midnight. Today, different employees are in the food stall and the tasty kabab has changed. It's a semi-soft kabab that is mushy with wet lettuce within the wrap. Which is a different composition compared to a year ago when it was tightly wrapped and hella tastier. Indo/Pak food is oookay. It's an option if you cannot get over to Devon Ave. Money wise, it's a deal. For most people unfamiliar with Indo/Pak food, it would still be flavorful. For me personally, there are better ways to spend money. I hope they shake the current mess and get back to what was familiar. They also serve bubble teas, smoothies and falooda. Not bad.

A short fuse and a close call…read more After Emily and I checked in to our hotel room, we wanted to stretch our legs and see if there was anything nearby for some beer and some food. Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. While nothing really struck our fancy, our waitress made a comment that if we did want any food, it might be slim pickings as they were running out of stuff. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things. Emily started off with a Guava Gose and I grabbed a Krankshaft kolsch. We sampled each other beers and we both really liked what the other ordered. I don't really know what a gose is but, damn, was that good! I've had Krankshaft before so I knew what I was getting myself in to. We ended up ordering a second round of the same beers and let each other sample the other's beer a little more liberally this time. While we were kind of hungry, nothing on the menu really struck our fancy, especially considering they might've been out of it. Room service took care of those hunger pangs later after a few more beers in the hotel bar. Online reviews for this place seemed hit and miss but I really enjoyed my time there and really enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the vibe of the place. We did contemplate buying some bar signs on our way out but declined as we don't know what we would exactly do with them.
