IHOP is phenomenal! Very nice place to go for breakfast. They have sandwiches, coffee, bread, onion rings, fries, juice, omelets, and others. Their menu is full of amazing breakfast offers. The food here was nice, especially their appetizers and desserts were really great. They serve the orders correctly and on time. Everything was on point and made to order. Definitely the best spot for breakfast. Food was good just like their service. All of their staff was really nice, kind, decent, and professional. They are so awesome and they do their job properly. They greeted me the time I entered their place and even assist me inside so that I can easily find a vacant table. They are always smiling and willing to help their customers. You can really tell that all of them are well-trained and love their job. Great customer service. Everyone who works here was very helpful and fun to be with. The whole place is very big, bright, and decent. The ambiance of the interior is really good and relaxing. Very enjoyable and convenient spot. The dining room is dated and depressing. The food is lackluster at best. They win the triple crown if you include the terrible service you receive whether dine in or take out. They are not a bit thankful for your business. They ignore you, belittle you and answer questions with questions. "How is that my problem" is an actual quote from wait staff. Management isn't any better. Realize that the customer, and that means you, is ALWAYS WRONG. The IHOP of twenty years ago is dead and gone. Sad that Burger King has better customer service. Your best bet for 2am pancakes and coffee. Don't get any avocados though. We orders a side of them, and literally (I mean this in its true sense), LITERALLY was like handling an eraser. We were able to bend and play with the slices like they were fake. Its hard to mess up pancakes, and if there ever was an issue our server would always fix it. I'll for sure be coming back here. We do monthly inventory at the restaurant I work at every Monday after the month's end. All of the managers and a couple kitchen guys go in super early and count everything. When we are done we order breakfast from this IHOP in Rosemont. We order about 7 breakfast entrees and they always get them right and the food is always hot. I gave them 4 stars because they don't have Corn Beef Hash. Which for a breakfast place should be illegal !!! read more

Not much to say about this IHOP which was pretty standard. Although it seemed to take a millinimun for our food to get to the table, and to top it off it was rather Bland. I would have expected a more standard taste from a national chain but our server was able to expedite a corrected order from the kitchen. The server, Juan was what made this meal a better experience. The place is very nice. You walk in and there is like a little area and you could wait for a friend or something like that and then you walk in and it is literally almost like one of those diners you see on Happy Days. It is clean, the bathroom is acceptable. It only smells bad because, you know, it's a BATHROOM:). So I ordered the Pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream on top but first I ordered a drink. I ordered a cup of water and it came about 20 minutes later and it was room temp with no ice. So the about, 5 minutes later my "pancakes" got there. And guess what? THEY WEREN'T EVEN PANCAKES!! They were potato cakes. I mean dont get me wrong they were good and all but, it's not what I asked for. Other than that it was pretty good. Nice service. Reasonably priced. Smells EPIC! Came to this location as a last minute decision due to time constraints. The moment we walked in - we told the host Alexia that we needed a seat for 4. After our request, she proceeded to whisper something to her male peer then acted as if we didn't make a request for a table. After asking for a table again, she was finally able to locate a booth and acted as if walking us to our table was the hardest part of her job. She looked hungover and miserable. She kept a scowl on her face and even dropped the last menu on my 8 year old son. Our male waiter was amazing - and attentive (without him there would be 0 stars). On our way out- we came across another host Kathy who had asked the crowd if anyone was paying with their card. My husband proceeded to approach the stand where Kathy and Alexia were standing and they acted as if my husband was not standing in front of them trying to pay our bill. The food was good and the price was fair. My experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I would only recommend this place as a last resort. Lastly- if you prefer clean places- this would not be one of your first choices. Reviewing an IHOP is sort of like reviewing a paper clip. If you've been to one, you've got a grasp of all of them, and it's hard to really take a paper clip in a bold new direction. I used to eat at this IHOP maybe twice a week. The service ranged from attentive to lackadaisical, but that's fine -- it's IHOP! The food was pretty consistent and until the last time I ate there I'd have given them a few more stars, BUT... ...the very last time I was there, I was a bit more than halfway through the combo (eggs, hash browns and 2 Fruit 'n Nut pancakes) and I see, while cutting up some pancake, ewww, a long strand of hair baked in. Gross. I give up on the pancakes, but still open to finishing the eggs, until, ewwww, I find a long strand of hair running through the scrambled eggs. I'm unquestionably done at this point. The waiter, to his credit, handled it well and got the manager, who asked if I'd like for the cook to re-make the dish. Um, no. He gave me a 20% discount on the check, so I guess IHOP's rule of thumb is 10% off for each hair found. (I don't know what the hair discount is for other major pancake chains.) I was a little too grossed out, and honestly, a little put out by the arbitrary discount. I want to like this IHOP, and if it was only one hair, I could fool myself into coming back, but no...won't be back anytime soon. read more

TERRIBLE... I ordered a cup of soup and was given and charged for a bowl (mind you I have never ordered either before and don't know the size difference so assumed what I was served was a cup). When I brought up the issue on the receipt I was treated like a criminal and told I ate it so I had to pay for the bowl WHEN I HAD ORDERED THE CUP. The price wasn't even the issue at this point it was the fact that I was treated like I was trying to steal from the waitress when it was the waitresses mess up. Stopped there as I was waiting for a passenger on a late evening flight at O'Hare. Ordered the avocado toast with hashbrowns and the roasted potatoes with peppers. The avocado toast was okay, the hashbrowns were an institutional looking square party, and the roasted potatoes were institutional, WAY TOO seasoned (just drowned in seasoned salt) and with barely and peppers and onions on them. The staff is demoralized and some outright unprofessional; one of the waitresses was kneeling on a chair and doing something on her phone with earphones plugged in the entire time I was there eating... I had an early arrival into O'Hare airport and needed to kill some time before arriving to the office, and found this place not far from the car rental place. The place was clean and service was friendly. You will find your typical breakfast items here and food came out quick and hot. I felt this warranted an update... I went to one of the IHOPs closer to my home about two weeks before visiting this one. I intentionally ordered the same omelet because I wanted to see if I would get the same thing. NOPE! At the first IHOP, I ordered a ham & american cheese omelet with hash browns tucked inside. I received a small, somewhat overcooked, non-fluffy omelet with two slices of American cheese on top that weren't melted when it came to me. Two weeks later, I order the same omelet at this IHOP... SUPER! This thing was ginormous!! It was also fluffy (IHOP claims to add some of their pancake batter in their omelets to make them fluffy... I guess someone forgot to tell the other IHOP) and delicious! Our server was great as well! I will continue to drive away from the IHOPs near me and frequent this one. read more

This place is a mixed bag. Sometimes the service is excellent, and everyone from the person at the host stand to the random server who waves goodbye as we leave (plus everyone in between) is witty, charming, friendly, and speedy. Other times, the order comes out in stages rather than all at once, iced tea/hot tea confusion occurs, I accidentally am led to a booth where I sit in a puddle of syrup, and they are out of half the menu. I mean, since when is it acceptable for an IHOP to run out of hash browns?!? Don't get between me and my fried potato, people. Recent changes to the menu mean that there are now more healthy options, some items list caloric content, and you have a wider selection of fresh fruits. I like this change but wish they'd put potato pancakes back on the menu (again, me with the fried potato). The nearby convention centers and concert venues provide interesting people-watching, but they also lure in people with screaming children who don't wanna eat! Wanna see the Wiggles! WAAAAAAH! Beware of screaming children. They will give you a headache. Overall, after coming here many many times, I have no plans to stop coming. My experiences here may be mixed, but there's enough good balancing out the bad to keep me coming back for my beloved potatoes. read more

2.75 stars is more accurate.... I went to a convention at the nearby Wyndham O'hare and thus ended up here at 12noon after getting a measly 2 hours of sleep the night before. I was lured in by the cheesecake pancakes....anyway my party got two orders of cheesecake pancakes and a grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was tasty, but really greasy and the fries were not crisp-they left something to really be desired. The pancakes were OK...we had our food quickly, but it took nearly 3 minutes to get silverware after we already got our food, and even longer to get condiments (ketchup, etc). At least it was clean, but crowded! The wait staff seemed to be chaotic at best-and our bill was nearly $30 and we were still hungry when we left. I chose to have my birthday breakfast at IHOP this year and I am very happy with the decision I made. I came in a week prior with a coupon and to check the place out in terms of crowds and service and was so impressed. Though it was crowded we were seated immediately. Our waitress was one of the friendliest people I've had the pleasure of interacting with and the food, though it was IHOP, exceeded the IHOP standards and expectations. So a week went by and I was once again at the same IHOP for my birthday. We had a different waitress but nonetheless, so sweet was she that I just wanted to hug her. She checked on us every chance she had and even surprised me with a birthday song from her and the staff. Plus I got a free sundae! Thanks IHOP for making my birthday morning so special! Next time the craving for a stuffed french toast hits, I'll know where to go! In sum, the food is excellent and a far cry from what you may be used to at other IHOPs. My favourite place to eat breakfast. They have the best omlet. Country omlet is my favorite. People working there are nice and helpful. sometimes you have to wait for table but that means this place is really good and people love to eat there. Better service and better food than many other Ihops in the area. Howeeever..... still a disappointment. I ordered crepes. They were served to me WAY overcooked. crepes are delicate. nearly fluffy. soft. On my plate they were paper-like, flat, and of no match for the sad knives you get. I couldn't cut through them at all. Still edible though. how can i say no to nutella and bananas?? Our waiter took forever to check back with us because he was too busy trying to hit on some high school girls in another booth who were from minnesota- and came in for a concert - and didn't know how to get back home. Our waiter (ooh. AND manager of the IHOP) had the nerve to ask us for directions to help the girls out. I bothered looking it up on my iphone. Had the directions ready. Our waiter didn't come back after 15 minutes to see if i had the directions ready. He was too busy lollygagging over high school girls. Looked real disappointed that he couldn't "save the day" using MY iphone. But when he DID ask how our food was, i told him about the crepes. He apologized, saying the cook was new. When we left, the young manager asked how our service was. We mentioned the crepe dilemma and was like "what? your waiter said our chef is new? actually.... that cook has been here for some years now." and then went on to talk to me about the high school girls they were trying to help get home. Two of us came for breakfast after glancing at the Radisson buffet and concluding that we needed to try our luck elsewhere. I had arrived at ORD after midnight and hadn't slept all that much; I was hoping that some hot coffee, "premium" orange juice and good food would set me up for the day. The coffee was not bad, so I drank a lot of it. The orange juice was non-premium but also non-toxic. The spinach and cheese omelet that I ordered came out looking like it was covered in an artificial glaze. I ate half of it and couldn't go further; this was the first time in memory that I didn't clean my plate. I probably should have ordered the "simple egg breakfast" or a stack of pancakes. I'll make a different choice next time -- if there is a next time. We were happy with our service, by the way. Our server was cheerful, energetic and helpful. We stopped here for breakfast with the kids before heading out to Chicago. After being seated it took a while for the wait staff to get back to us to take our food order. Then it was a good 30+ minutes before we even got our food. Last time I checked pancakes don' t take too long to prepare. The restaurant was understaffed, and not hurrying, except for the poor guy cleaning tables. I think we'll avoid this one next time we're in town. read more

My husband woke up this morning & wished we could go out for breakfast. I asked what food he missed & he said IHOPs buttermilk pancakes, crepes with lingonberries, hash browns & sausage. I went online ordered our breakfast favorites (with a 20% disc for 1st time online ordering) then drove over & picked them up. They were fresh, hot & delicious. Decent food and fast service. An average iHop for sure. Our waitress was nice and accurate, and even during Sunday morning rush we were served quickly. The only complaint here is that the bathroom was pretty dirty and missing toilet paper in 2 of the stalls.
