Before the gun show in San Marcos we wanted to stop by somewhere to grab I bite to eat. I wanted to try somewhere healthy since I was on a diet and stumbled upon this hole in the wall. Once we arrived, it was easy to find since it was in the corner and parking was decent. Once we stepped inside, we were quickly greeted, received our menu's and seated. I ended up ordering the Garden Bowl with added Chicken and a Steak & Egg Taco. And my girlfriend ordered the Carnitas Benedict. Everything tasted amazing and the service was great! I highly recommend this place!

Working in area my colleague and I wanted something light for lunch and found this place through Yelp and it's a surprising gem. Housed in what looks like an industrial site, inside is a cute little restaurant with lovely, friendly servers. They focus on simple and healthier dishes that are very competitively priced! Had a simple but delicious berry salad with walnuts and goats cheese which was delicious and came with a tangy dressing! Also had a side of their pasta salad which was loaded with a great pesto flavor! Loved the setting, food and friendly atmosphere!

Great quaint spot for brunch. Second time eating at this establishment (first time was exactly one year ago). The food is really good. I ordered the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and English muffin. Other items ordered in my party were pancakes, fritatta, breakfast burritos and breakfast tacos. All were delicious! Just as I remembered from the first visit. The server was delightful. The food comes out a little slow but was worth the wait. There is a speaker in the corner of the restaurant that looks like a jukebox. Music plays while you eat. They offer coffee, tea, juice, lemonade and, for brunch, mimosas. This place is a jewel and definitely a spot to try if you are in the San Marcos area...only about 5 minutes away from the outlet mall.

Yelp did us another solid for lunch today. This little gem is a home run. Let me start by saying, trendy and flavorful. A wonderful combination. We tried the the following. 1. Philly Cheese cake 2. Garden Bowl 2. Avocado Benedict. The Philly cheesesteak was delicious but the highlight was the Avocado Benedict with a side of potatoes. Talk about Devine. Other worldly goodness. The potatoes are the best I've had. The Garden Bowl was tasty. It was served warm which through me off as I thought I was ordering a salad. This place is a must try. I'm usually in town for a conference once or twice a year and you can bet on me coming back, sooner rather than later. I believe I heard the staff mention they will open for dinner on the weekends soon. Mouth watering thinking about what soon to be goodness they will infuse into San Marcos. 6 stars!

Love this great little spot in San Marcos. Great Food, great retro-vibe, staff is young and engaged... Our new Breakfast and Lunch spot for great tasting quality breakfast and lunch. Vanilla Latte was very good, Steak and Egg Benedict was just right and the grilled red potatoes were awesome. Groovy Breakfast Special was spot on. Check out their menu...

I was visiting the area and needed a quick bite. I stopped here to place a pickup order. The server who took my order was nice enough. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and it comes with chips. The food took about 15 minutes to come out. Overall it was a good sandwich that has lots of flavor. I substituted chip for potato. The potatoes were good. They weren't seasoned well but with ketchup and hot sauce , it's alright. The only issue I had was the workers were a little absent and my food came out and sat for about 5-10 additional minutes. No one was available so it just sat there.

So... I'm pretty conflicted as I write this. Let me start by saying that what I'm eating right now, IS tasty... BUT, it's definitely not as described on the menu. I ordered to-go from inside the store. I got the Garden Bowl and added steak. I will say, it was my assumption, given the listed ingredients, that this was served cold. It is not. It is a warm bowl, which is fine but ultimately not what I was looking for. The steak is more like a thin flank steak, but it is seasoned well and is tender. It's good. I asked for my bowl to have no red peppers and it was prepared correctly. So what's wrong? Well, I'm missing the quinoa, I'm missing the chickpeas, I'm missing the sesame seeds. Half the ingredients are warm and half are cold (the onion, avocado and cucumber). It came with a dressing to put on there... I'm just not sure what is going on here. The sautéed Arugula is weird and to be honest some of the ingredients seem frozen and canned. This dish, with big pieces of charred broccoli, and corn and blistered tomatoes, that had been chilled, with the freshness of everything else being cold and the dressing, would be amazing. What I received fell really really short. And while the steak was good, I would expect about two more slices for +6 dollars I paid to add on. That made this an almost $20 for a incomplete dish. All this to say, I will go back and give them another try. My daughter got a meal replacement shake and she said it was really good.

I came a little bit later around 12ish the place is small and has a very calm atmosphere. Ordered the Pesto Sandwich and a kids Pancake for my sister. Pancake was pretty good size for a kids plate, the pesto sandwich had tons of flavor. The service was simple and easy, you order at the front and sit yourself and grab your own drink (unless it's a soda or tea etc.) They were also very helpful with ordering the meal prep options, which tasted VERY great. I had the Hawaiian Beef Bowl, and BBQ Chicken bowl. Overall great experience, food tasted great, and service was good. Will definitely be back

The man behind the counter was friendly to me and the other customers. I ordered a traditional gyro that comes with fries and a soft drink. The food was ready in 10 minutes and delivered to my table. The gyro was perfect. The pita and meat portions piping hot and the lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce nicely chilled and fresh. Each bite was consistently good. The French fries were hot and nicely seasoned. Very happy to have the pita shop hit the spot for a gyro craving.

The fries are inedible, fried in old grease, flaccid and not crispy. Very soft to touch. Portion size of the fries was very limited. The fries look old since the color is very dark. They look like they were fried to the very minimum or not at all. I couldn't even finish them. They got cold very quickly. Just disgusting really. I emphasize that they taste old. I'm sure why this place has high reviews on Google or Yelp. They did not do a good job on my order at all. I'm from Houston and I've had better falafels with full flavor, but I guess since this is San Marcos they know they can slack off. I know my Mediterranean food and usually the cuisine has a lot of good spices! I won't be coming back. It was disgusting! I now have to eat at a better restaurant to cover the disgust on my palate.

Didn't have patience for Crafthouse's service pace or downtown parking. Chef here's been flexible and fun, and I knew there was a spacious lot and likely a quiet atmosphere. When I arrived, the bar seating was nearly full plus a table of perhaps five. Country music played, I took a booth in the back. My favorite steak is gone from their re-done menu, and it was too busy for Chef to pop out and chat, if he still works here. They were out of real eggs, so I got a cheeseburger and a side of broccoli. When the waitress asked if I wanted bacon since I couldn't have the egg, I said sure. My Lynchburg lemonade was heavy on the lemon but good with the liquor, and that burger was undisputedly enormous. The broccoli was in good condition and generous. A request for soda was forgotten but rectified. Different employee brought the bill, which (1) did not reflect my 10% discount for check-in (I'd showed my waitress; she hit the button on my phone to accept it) and (2) while the menu says add bacon for $.50, I was charged $2.50. It was a big meal and I thought they might be a little shorthanded, so I didn't feel it worth the fuss. Just saying you should check your tab. Cheeseburger (add bacon) with side of broccoli, one Coke and an alcoholic drink for $26 before tip.
