I decided to stop here on the way home from the airport and I had 3 teenagers with me. They all said it reminded them of 3008 (who knows what that actually means ‍). I tried to make this kind of fun for them and told them to create their dream home by taking pictures of each room they would love to have in their homes and they went above and beyond! We stopped in the food court for some Swedish meatballs and Mac n cheese and then hit the bottom floor to check out. The kids still wanted an ice cream and pizza before we left but we ran into a snag...the ice cream machine was down as well as their Apple Pay machine so I had to pay for their pizzas. Pretty disappointed when I rolled up to get my $3,000 worth of Pax closets and couldn't get anyone to offer help loading my truck. In fact, the two young folks that pushed my stuff to me said "You don't need any help, do you?" Sounded like they didn't want to help so I wrestled all 1500 lbs myself! To start this review, I would like to say I am NOT a fan of IKEA. The reason for that is that I don't like to assemble furniture myself. Most of their big furnitures you need to assemble them yourself. Few days ago my son and I went to look for a dresser/drawer, and a small shelf/drawer to go with the desk that he has in his room. This store is a very big store and even has a restaurant inside with a coffee shop. They are known for their delicious meatballs. I have never tried their food before, but I heard that it's good. Have been to this store twice before. As we were looking for what we needed, we were trying to get someones attention and see if anyone was working on the floor. Finally found an employee that was able to help us and show us different merchandise in their HUGE showroom. They have kitchen appliances, bedroom, bathroom, living room tables, beds, sofas, TV, artificial plants/flowers and overall a nice decor. So many things to choose from. So we bought both the dresser and the small shelf for a very affordable, reasonable price. Lines are super long and that's another reason that it took them forever to open another register. Prices vary depending on what you get. Also has a self check out. Store was very clean. Big parking lot, restrooms and that's all I have to say about IKEA. read more

What happened to customer service. What happened to being polite. Simple questions don't require snappy replies. If someone asks you where something is you don't reply if you find it you find it. They had at least 30 on display and were not able to sell them. I got the gorilla instead. We also got a few household items. The line to pay is at the end. It took about 30 minutes to walk thru. Yesterday, I went to IKEA with My Mom & My Dad and my brother. We went there to buy a vanity chair for My Mom'sroom, and we also bought a few cushions. This IKEA is extremely large--much bigger than the location that used to be here a long time ago. It's also very cool and comfortable inside, which is especially nice on hot days. The displays for all the products are well organized, so it's easy to find things, and all the employees are friendly. However, when I went to the restroom, I noticed something inconvenient. Each restroom stall should have its own trash can, but many of the stalls--actually most of them--did not have a trash can inside, which was very inconvenient. IKEA clearly sells trash cans, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't place one inside each restroom stall. read more

This is a large furniture store, one of the largest IKEA stores in the world. There is very clear signage to drive to the parking area which is largely underground. Inside, there's a huge variety of home goods from phone stands to desks, bed sets, and cookware. The onsite dining area is also expansive with plenty of seating and good quality food served. The store is well laid out, again follow signs for any shortcuts but otherwise enjoy your own self-guided tour entering through the showroom. There are also special events throughout the year which include some fun photo op displays and more that can be found on their store website for upcoming events. read more

You will sometimes get the worst employees here that are just completely racist and entitled. Unfortunately I had an extremely rude experience here with an employee named Karen. She was incredibly racist and out of line. She showed no grace with me it was completely unprofessional. But do yourself a favor and expect to be harassed at check out and then tell you something about how they have Philippino family so "don't go there with me". I asked about why I was being treated a certain way and why this person was not helping out any other customers. Jason and Elvira are kind and helpful managers, thankful they have a protocol for these awful incidents. Most of the other employees that work here are kind and helpful, but unfortunately Karen is 100% not one of them. So much could improve here and it was my first visit to IKEA in 15 years but the experience I received made me question whether I want to return. Remember I haven't been here since their new techy stuff took over. I didn't realize that drinks had to be purchased separately at the self-service kiosk. After ordering my food at checkout, I noticed I still needed to buy a drink, so I asked the employee if she could keep my food warm while I completed the purchase. She seemed highly irritated by the request. When I returned, I was given what appeared to be the same item and it was no longer hot. I asked for a freshly prepared item, but the employee was unwilling to help until I had to direct her with step by step instructions that my meal should be replaced with one from the warming area. The interaction felt rude and dismissive. Frustrated by the way I was being treated, I called the employee a bitch and told her I was going to report her. When I spoke with the manager, I was upfront and admitted that I had used that language. I explained that my reaction came after what I felt was disrespectful and unprofessional treatment. I appreciate that the manager took my concerns about the interaction seriously. Beyond that experience, I apprised IKEA of several several other issues: the extremely long checkout lines, products that are still advertised despite being discontinued, and price discrepancies between the posted signs and the kiosk. Those issues create confusion and frustration for customers. I hope IKEA improves employee training so customers are treated with courtesy and respect, even when problems arise. read more

Of course, there are other items on their cafeteria-style menu, like the cod and even a pasta dish with - you got it - their meatballs. They're all OK. Purely a service / experience review, specifically for returns. I arrived at 10:45am to a relatively empty parking lot, having done all the proactive steps to expedite my return. I had selected the items for return, received a barcode to scan, and IKEA communicated an express return experience as a result. Being the 6th person in line at check in, with many people only returning a single item, I was shocked at how long I was trapped in that lobby. I waited a painstaking 45 min - just to be helped. My transaction was two minutes. When you buy something, be sure. Because you will never find a less efficient customer service experience. It was so horrific that it makes me question making any future purchases. I haven't been to IKEA in almost 15 years, since I broke down crying over a dresser I bought and could not figure out how to assemble from IKEA. The instructions were all in pictures, and I at first seriously thought I was doing a smashing job assembling it. My roommate later heard my cries of frustration, saw my tears, and assembled the rest of the dresser for me. It had taken me 2 nights after work to construct what could only be called a monstrosity. It took him 30 minutes to assemble my dresser in full, which lasted me for another 10 years before it started falling apart. After that incident, I vowed not to go to IKEA for a long time. My top 10 horror list includes IKEA, which has a "you just assemble everything yourself" design. I needed (and need) fully assembled furniture. But on one ordinary Saturday, I conquered my fear and headed to the store. Not only does IKEA include furniture and items you buy and assemble later, but the showrooms are maze-like. It was only pointed out to me later that there are arrows on the floor directing you where to go, and it made me more at ease than thinking I was walking in circles or not knowing how I made it to another section of the store when I felt lost. Once I took a deep breath, I realized IKEA is elegant, has a lot of fantastic organizational items, beautiful showrooms, and items that would enhance a room. The prices are fair, and the items are of high quality. However, you won't find me assembling any items from there - or probably anywhere - soon. read more

IKEA is a nice place to shop, with plenty of inspiration for home décor and well-designed furniture displays. The variety of items and pricing makes it easy to find options for different budgets. That said, I've noticed an inconsistency in customer service. The staff in the main showroom were friendly and helpful, but the warehouse employees seemed more fatigued and less responsive when I asked for assistance. It was disappointing to observe this difference, especially since I've noticed it on multiple visits. Last visit they were remodeling, this visit things seemed a bit sparse, sign of the times? Every dept looked light in merchandise, we were looking for a carpet and selection was way down from what they use to have in stock. Food area doesn't carry coffee any more, unless it's hidden? Really the most stable aspect to our visit was the restaurant area! I had the tried and true meatballs and they, the mashed potatos and vegetables were good, the side salad was fresh and also good, my dining partner had their chicken plate and said it was quite good, their coffee is also excelllent, consistantly, part of the reason we were disappointed they no longer sell it bagged in the food area. The restaurant has very reasonable prices still, if the drive wasn't so far it would be worth returning just for a light meal. We also noticed not many store personnel on the floor, trying to find things is a bit of a drain. I hope they are able to stay in business, I don't know if it is in part due to asinine tariffs and wage increases, what ever, the place is not well stocked as in it's hay day. We have lost so many long term businesses in the area. Very troubling. I'm rooting for them to get through this! Btw, will likely order the carpet on line, as it seems to be available there. Support them with at least an economical meal, maybe something will jump out at you. read more

It been a while since I actually went inside a IKEA and brought something in the store. The last couple of times I purchase something from IKEA, I stuck to store pickup because it was convenient. But since I had some free time today, I went inside the store to get some desk legs. I already knew the location of where it was so I just entered from the checkout area to avoid walking throughout the store. The majority of my time at the store was basically waiting in the self checkout. There a lot of self checkout station and regular cashier station but the issue that holds up the line is that people need help scanning or finding their item barcode. The issue I had when I was here was that, some people don't stay in the line for the self checkout they are in. If they see that someone about to leave from your line in the self checkout, they'll just walk ahead and say "I'm next". There a worker at each self checkout area but they just stood there instead of saying something. read more

I hadn't been to IKEA since I lived in Burbank. I didn't even know they had moved their store to a different location until I went this weekend. IKEA is huge! If you have been there, you know it can take hours to go through all of the rooms. My sister went with me, and our kids wanted to play at Småland, where the kids can safely play and have fun while grown-ups shop. I wish more stores had this option. I was able to find a couple of things I needed and some that I didn't need. I love their products, and their prices are really affordable, but the reason that it's affordable is because you need to build everything yourself. This review is for the cafeteria. I don't know what to tell you. This place is magical. If you're part of the IKEA family thing, you get free coffee with your purchase, and, I'm not like, a huge coffee afficionado, but their coffee with cream is comforting, so I usually get 2-3 cups, which leaves me way too wired and jittery the rest of the day. And, of course, their Swedish meatballs, which comes in regular meat or plant-based. The trick is to get a bite that has all of the elements on the plate to it - meatball, mashed potato, gravy, peas, lingonberry sauce....my method is to push some of the peas into the gravy mashed potato and (so they don't roll off), put that on my fork, dip that into the lingonberry jam, then spear a half-meatball on it. Their cakes are also good. The sad thing is, this plate is getting kind of pricey now. 8 meatballs for $9.99. And a slice of chocolate cake will run you $6. read more

The parts are made so cheaply and are almost disposable. Get your act together ikea Someone at the location gave me home. All I can say is she saved Ikeas bacon with her excellent customer service. Burbank IKEA is the biggest IKEA in North America! It's double the size of the old IKEA a few streets blocks down. I think it's best to visit between Mon-Thursday before 4pm if you don't want the mass crowds of people visiting on the weekend. I suggest you park under the store as it gets hot if you park on top especially those summer days. Returns could take a long time during the weekends, go early or during the week. This review is specifically for the food court. I came at the time right at the tail end of breakfast and the start of lunch. You line up and grab your tray and all of the food is hot (or cold as appropriate) and ready to go. I got the small breakfast which includes two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, and a hearty serving of crispy breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were my favorite part as they had great texture and were perfectly salted. I got sides of ketchup and ranch as well which I enjoyed with the potatoes. The best part, this plate is $2.49, yes that's right even in this economy! I also got the salmon plate which included mixed greens, two slices of lox, a thick mustard dressing and lemon wedge on the side with a scoop of potatoe salad. The lettuce had a good crunch and the lox was thinly sliced and buttery. The food is delicious and great deal, if I had anymore room I would have tried the lunch but I guess that will have to wait until next time. read more

On my first visit, I was overwhelmed with the amount of customers. Familiar with LA traffic? Yep, same at this IKEA. It is night and day compared to the Las Vegas location. Nevertheless, I can easily spend ~2 hours every visit. I'm always inspired to change up my spaces without having to break the bank! If you want to avoid the large crowds, do not visit on a Saturday. Either come on a weekday or Sunday morning. Returns? Check in by registering at one of the kiosks and standby in one of the many comfy sofas. Great prices. Functional household goods and furniture. The maze is a bit much, but if you know your way around the store, you can zip right through. The selections are plenty and the prices are very fair. Service was fantastic this time around as well. We needed an item to at didn't have and they found it for us closer to our home with next day pick up. Good design at good prices at this largest IKEA in the USA. And a great place for an indoor stroll when it's too wet or hot outside, you can literally walk for miles. Just follow the arrows on the floor. If you feel lost or just need to leave, there are overhead maps with shortcuts, or ask any employee. Quality is generally good (upholstered goods are uneven). You can decorate an entire house here at once with classic and modern pieces that are easy to digest. Also easy to digest -- the delicious swedish meatball lunch (vegetarian version available) at the reasonably priced cafe. Can be busy on weekends.
