    Vegan peach cobbler

The food here was amazing! Loved the vegan machine and cheese, as well as vegan peach cobbler. The staff was knowledgeable and very kind.

    VERY MEDIOCRE!

Maybe i caught this place on a bad day. I'm not from here. I came here on recommendation from someone that works here and lemme tell You i was so disappointed! As you can see in the pics, this was extremely poorly done. It looks NOTHING like the pics I found here. Look at that Mac n cheese, it looks baked in the other picture...but look at my pic with that dry overcooked cornbread muffin! It all WAY too salty! They told me 25 minutes I came 30 minutes later and STILL wanted another 30 just to get this mediocre BS! I should have known better and left when I pulled and smelled weed from the car next to me and the girl who worked there got out and went in. I will NEVER spend my money in here again. Smh

Smothered Pork Chop Lunch - 7.99 - there's rice under all that gravy

I told you I'd be getting back to you about this place once I knew a bit more, and here I am to keep said promise First and foremost - yes, the place is called Ike's Barbeque, but during the week, this is a soul food or meat-n-3 joint, and there is no bbq to be had. If you want to try the bbq, you need to come in on Sundays Basically, they run with a limited menu of 2-3 meat dishes (typically smothered pork chops, baked chicken, and fried fish) and 4-5 sides (typically corn, green beans, collard greens, red beans, rice, corn bread muffins, and fries) during the week on a steamtable setup at the same counter where you order. So unless you're there on Sunday, don't look at the menu, as most of it wont be available - instead, just ask....whats good today? What looked good to me today was the smothered pork chops, so I got that with green beans, rice w/gravy, and a corn muffin for 7.99. (add a chop +3.00). The chop and gravy was solidly good, with the moistness of the gravy somewhat overcoming the hard/dry rice (I think they need a steamer to hold it in to keep it moist) but the green beans and the corn muffin were sensational. The green beans were well seasoned with herbs and pork-y goodness, needing no added salt or pepper; and the corn muffin was moist, more cake-y than crumbly, and *very* slightly sweet. Both were among the best I have ever had of their type. I am hoping that they will add mac-n-cheese to their weekly sides, but for now, that too is Sunday only I would love to try the bbq sometime, and even moreso the cornish game hen, but I am not in this area on Sundays. Will someone please try the game hen (and the mac-n-cheese?) and tell me if its worth a special side trip on a Sunday? Pretty please? There are a half a dozen or so tables scattered around in front, and close to a dozen parking spots on the side of the building. Fair warning - while I have had no issue here whatsoever, some might find the surrounding neighborhood to be a little rougher around the edges than than one might be comfortable with. Recommended

Ordered the rib tips and they were over cooked and hard to eat, sauce was watery, and the mac and cheese had no flavor to it.

Now, I'd passed Ike's many time over the years, but their new sign touting Ike's Vegan BBQ had me flip the car around.

It was so good the first time, we hit it again this afternoon. Cool, relaxed feel inside, great service and great food. Jameela served us on both visits and she was awesome. Everything we tried was good, but my favorite was the Pendleton Porker and the banana pudding for dessert. If we're ever back in town, Lucius Q is on the top of our list!

Every visit feels like a treat, but lately they've taken things up a notch with a lineup of signature cocktails. I tried the espresso martini, and it was outstanding--smooth, balanced, and the perfect complement to the bold, smoky flavors coming out of the kitchen. As for the food, it's consistently excellent. The dry rub wings are my go-to: perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and flavor, and even better when paired with their bama white sauce. If you're leaning sandwich, you can't go wrong with a pulled pork or pulled chicken sammy topped with their Carolina gold sauce--it's tangy, slightly sweet, and completely addictive. And the fries? Thick-cut, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside--exactly what great fries should be. Beyond the food and drinks, Lucius Q really shines as a place to gather. They have a fantastic event space that comfortably holds around 50 people--perfect for parties or private events. It's also one of the rare downtown spots with plenty of TVs, making it a great place to catch a game. Add in live music most Fridays and a great outdoor patio for those perfect Cincinnati weather days, and it's easy to see why this place is always buzzing. Lucius Q is one of those spots I simply can't walk past without slowing down and breathing it in. Whether you're a Pendleton regular or just passing through downtown Cincinnati, it's a must-visit that delivers every single time.

Well, the Montgomery in Boathouse is that place and always a must stop when I'm in town because the ribs are always cooked to perfection and the staff is always on point. On this night, I ordered a slab of ribs, Saratoga chips, and a salad. No surprises there. Not much has changed in almost 40 years of coming to The Boathouse, just the hours and maybe the bibs. Ties are not as common nowadays. I also like the distance between the new stadium and the Boathouse. I was able to park under the stadium walk to the Montgomery Inn and back to the stadium for a matchup against the Royals. Great parking, great seats, great ribs, great walk, great night and for under $150 with generous tip, which spectacular deal. $52 Reds, $30 parking, $66 meal and tip. :) I admit I have only tried their ribs and they're always amazing!! Fun fact, I also had 30 slabs shipped back to Denver for a party and they cooked up perfectly and the sauce was delectable! Everyone loved them! People still ask me about the epic rib party I held! If you are in Cincinnati and looking for an amazing night out with an after dinner walk, concert, ballgame, or even to enjoy the view be sure to stop by The Boathouse and make it a night to remember.
