The menu looked amazing, so I drove us there. When we pulled up, I thought we had the wrong place. It is inside of an office building. Tip: Go to the second floor and make a left. The aroma of the food will lead your right to it. When we arrived, they had music playing and chill vibes. You can order and pay through the kiosk. After we placed our order, we went into the dining area. The food came out pretty quickly. I ordered 10 wings and coco bread. For my flavors, I selected the pineapple jerk wings and the honey jerk wings. The owner came out personally and brought my wings to me. The owner is a really solid dude. He gave us the backstory on the restaurant and told us about his homemade sauces. You can tell that he really is passionate about his business. The wings were smoked and sauced to perfection! And they are 10 for $10! Can't beat that price for the quality they are giving you. The coco bread was a nice addition, I used it to soak up the leftover jerk sauce I had in my container! My wife got the jerk salmon with fried rice and jerk yum yum sauce. Yes, you heard me right! Jerk Yum Yum Sauce!!! I had to steal a couple of bites off of her plate, and I shared one of my wings with her. She loved her meal, and the jerk yum yum sauce was phenomenal. We ordered The Hut Punch, which is sugar-free and comes with real fruit pieces. It was very refreshing and flavorful. Lastly, the customer service! We met the owner and his wife. They have managed to bring a piece of Jamaica to Ohio. When we were about to leave to head back to Columbus, I told my wife that I couldn't leave without getting some jerk yum yum sauce to go. I asked if they sold sauces to go. The owner went out of his way to go and purchase containers so that I could take some home. He didn't have to do that, but I am truly grateful that he did. I am now back in Columbus, and I have already started pouring on my fried rice and loving every bite! If you love Jamaican food, you have to try this place! Jerk Wings 1-5=5! Coco Bread 1-5=4. Salmon Fried Rice 1-5=5. Hut Punch 1-5=4. Jerk Yum Yum Sauce 1-5=5! Customer Service 1-5=5! Even though they are Bengals fans. #GoBrowns

In the meantime we got the warm olives and goat cheese as a starter. We got a bunch of other fresh dishes like their jicama/green mango salad (very okay, a little light on flavor) and their venison crudo - so so good and great flavor. The paella was fantastic and had so much seafood in it, nice charred rice, great flavor. We also got patatas bravas and pulpo. The pulpo octopus is a must-eat. It comes cut up in very tender pieces on light fluffy mashed potato - seriously so good. We were stuffed after trying everything. Highly recommend! Mita's also qualifies for Chase Sapphire's dining credit, so if you're looking for a spot in Cincinnati, look no further.

There were only 3 of us, so we figured ordering a few plates would suffice... except when our server told us we would need way more. We were a bit surprised to be told that everything basically came in twos or was a very small portion! (Confusing because when I think family style I think BIG plates) This is a TAPAS place... family style but small appetizers and drinks style restaurant!! So you probably won't leave here full!! The server was kind and very knowledgeable! She gave us plenty of time to pick and choose! We decided on bread w/ oil & salsa ($11), guac & tostones ($13), ceviche of the day ($22), 2 chicken skewers ($19), 2 pork belly tacos ($16), & 3 beef empanadas ($22.5) I will say all of the food was PHENOMENAL... chicken skewers were perfect (might be spicy for some), ceviche (red snapper our day) was my favorite... just a super small portion for $22, empanadas were perfect, and the oils and bread was top notch!! Seriously have nothing bad to say about the food (BRAVO Chef Jose Salazar.... You really know how to do your thing!!!!) I loved it and really enjoyed my time, but if you're looking for a fancy, cute, SMALL dinner vibe - this would be the jackpot find! Or even a drink/apps before a bigger dinner date. (But if you're looking for a traditional large family style meal, I wouldn't go here) Our bill ended up over $150, but when divided it was really only around $55 each!! Not too bad for a fun fancy meal! I would love to come here again and try more, especially knowing the menu has lots of daily rotations (ex. The ceviche) Thank you again for a lovely experience!!!

The lady stated that they don't answer if there is a steady flow inside, but it's very inconvenient when they say wait a time that could have been collapsed by a call-in. Not to mention, I have reservations about the neighborhood which is why I finally just drove. The other reason is because sometimes they are out of something. It could all be avoided if someone will just answer the phone. This happened to me today and the lady got my order wrong. I was frustrated by this point after waiting longer and to find out my order was incorrect.

I ordered their island rice box: Jamaican rice & beans, Caribbean slaw, mango salsa and of course their jerked chicken. The mango was bright and tart, the slaw was crisp and creamy, the rice soaked up some of the flavor from the smokey and succulent chicken. I would eat this once a day if I could! The plantains were perfectly sweet with just enough sear and caramelization. I actually dropped my first order seconds after collecting it, and they replaced it free of charge rather than let me enact the five second rule. If you see this bright green truck, do not fail to stop!

I love what they have done with the building. I love all the artwork that you can buy from several local artist hanging all over the place. They have two arcade games, a pool table and a jukebox. A coin machine for all three. Everyone who works here is really nice and down to earth for the most part. The bartenders were always making sure the place, including the restrooms were always clean. Which is nice for a bar especially when a show is happening. Things can get gross REAL fast. The woman who reviewed this place and said they didn't have cans of beer or draft, I have literally no idea what she's talking about because they definitely have both. They had three beers on tap and I know they for sure had Cheetah by Rhinegeist and PBR in cans. I'm sure they had more. They have a large drink selection at the bar. Apparently, they also have food usually, but the kitchen was closed last night. The stage is small and oddly set up with a weird pillar in the middle, in-front of the stage. But it's still a good small place to play. Just prepare to get sweaty when the room is packed. Glad we have a low key, cool place now to hang out and have shows in Latonia. We will definitely be back.
