For entrees we had several different items from a fried platter, naked salmon, baked trout and blackened catfish. Portions were generous, food well seasoned and everything delicious!! We came in with a group of about 14 people and had a reservation, but unfortunately we still had to wait past our reservation time even though we were told they would seat us once at least 10 people arrived. When we were finally seated, they split us between two separate tables and told us it was policy that they couldn't push the tables together. We were definitely a little disappointed, but we didn't let it ruin the night. I will say our servers were very nice and friendly throughout the experience. The biggest issue was the wait for the food. Half of our group got their meals, and then it took forever for the other table to finally get theirs, which made things awkward. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre overall. I had the fried shrimp and chicken, which was decent, but honestly I enjoyed the chicken more than the shrimp. One of my friends ordered the Cajun pasta and it lacked A LOT of flavor, definitely needed some salt and seasoning. The place was pretty and clean. In the area visiting family and stopped in for a bite about an hour before closing. The restaurant was still active. For those that aren't familiar with the restaurant's concept, it centers around Gulf Coast (LA, FL, AL, MS, TX) Cuisine. The decor alone gave you a Gulf Coast vibe with a blues and RB sound track setting the mood. Outside of the main entrance is a patio/lounge area with comfortable furniture where you can unload and socialize when the weather is great. Most Pappadeaux locations have one of these. We were seated upon our walk-in entry, in the bar area which was still very active as closing time approached. From past experiences I do recommend getting a reservation though. Our server De'Ja was attentive and welcoming proving excellent service! We really appreciated it De'Ja!! Our dinner began with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and an Old Fashioned. Next up was the Roasted Oysters which were piping hot and delicious!! Well, hello there everybody I'm sitting at the Pappadeaux's in Atlanta, Georgia, and I need you to know we have been sitting here for like 3 1/2 hours or so. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks. They don't even serve the bread and butter, unless you ask for it at this location but the bad thing about this is that we're just now getting our food and that's ridiculous. The service here is so bad and it makes no sense that people have to wait that long. We were celebrating my granddaughter's graduation from college and we had to wait here this long to get some food as of right now they're just giving us our food. Now we had been happy enough to get it in Houston after such a horrible day in March, now we got to have it in Georgia too. Our server was incredibly friendly and calm for such a busy Sunday night. Not too many tables were vacant. Anyway, it was the tableside Greek salad with a huge plate of garlic bread to start. There probably isn't much to say about Pappadeaux that hasn't already been said. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal I had here last week so I wanted to make sure I provided a review about my positive experience. My friend had her birthday dinner here, it was a table of 5 and we had Cameron as our waiter. He was pleasant and provided good service. I appreciate that he shared a lighter so we could light the birthday candles on the cupcakes. I typically don't dine at franchise restaurants, I try to support small businesses so although I have dined here before, it is not my go to seafood restaurant. The restaurant also provided a free dessert to my friend for her birthday and did not charge a fee for her brining in cupcakes. Love it! I had the grouper and crab dinner and substituted the carrots with broccolini $47.95 and had a watermelon mint lemonade for $6.25. The lemonade does not include free refills, it's like a $1.25 or something for refills which was okay with me because I was only planning on drinking one glass. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from the entrée but I was blown away by how moist and packed full of flavor the grouper was.....SO GOOD!! I also had a large serving of broccolini and had to take most of it to go and enjoyed it as leftovers. The sauce was so yummy! It was the perfect meal and very filling, there was no need for an appetizer. Parking is free and there are many spots in the front and back. The entrance off of Jimmy Carter can be a little tricky to enter but don't worry if you miss it, turn right on the next street and you can pull into the plaza and drive over to the restaurant. Dinner was the soft shell crab (2), and the Oscar style filet mignon. The soft shell crabs got two thumbs up from the lady. The dirty rice is a MUST have. Thank me later. The filet mignon was done to perfection well done but sill soft and juicy. They could've put more than two little pieces of crab on that "Oscar Style" for the price but all and all a great dinner. He was very attentive. I ordered a cup of seafood, gumbo, two of the crab, stuffed shrimp, and the Chilean Seabass meal. The Chilean Seabass itself was very delicious. I did not like the Parmesan couscous that came with it. It tasted like flour. Also, the butter crawfish was not very good either but again the fish by itself delicious. She let me know that if you see something on the menu that says raw-they can fry it.
