Braised Beef Pot- Had a good amount of beef that was very tender and had a good, garlicy soy flavor. It was delicious, and had a good amount of potatoes and carrots, topped with few pieces of steamed broccoli, served with a side of rice. Pretty solid flavor, and was a good sized meal for $11 Dan Dan Noodles- Opted for this without pork. The flavors were good, but it was VERY salty. They also topped this dish with 2-3 steamed broccoli pieces, and this did not have a side of rice. Thank goodness we had our rice from the braised beef pot because we would not have been able to eat this without it. The flavors were awesome, but with each bite followed a spoonful of rice as well. Wish they would either lay off the salt, or add more noodles to even it out. Altogether, a solid choice if you're craving this sort of food. I recently stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to have dinner. There was a sign outside advertising 10% off for their soft opening which was even better! The menu they offer is pretty small but there are a few noodle dishes, about six different sizzling pots, and some deep fried options including Hot Star fried chicken! I ordered the Braised Beef Brisket sizzling pot ($12.99) which comes with a side of rice in addition to the glass noodles in hot and sour soup. You can add extra ingredients to the sizzling pot for an extra charge if you like. The glass noodles in hot and sour soup was also pretty good and not too sour or spicy which I liked. Honestly my only complaint here is that the customer service is not great. The cashier basically ignored me when I asked her questions about the menu items. Today I used the QR code on their business card to order online. I ordered my dinner as well as my lunch tmr. So I can drive to pick up and go home directly to eat. I selected the order, paid in advance with the card, and selected the time for picking up. Then when I arrived to the store, the staff told me that they SOLD OUT all their food except for one vegetarian meal. So she didn't even look at the new incoming order. I got the confirmation text message after I placed my order, the text message has the date and pick up time available for me. So I just drove there. But it turns out there's no food at all that's available and nobody notified me in advance so I literally drove 40 minutes from work to there for nothing even though I live nearby it's still a big disappointment. The staff refunded me from the machine and that's it. I'm just very disappointed with the no notice in advance so I have to look for another restaurant to buy my dinner which is 8 PM already right now. I wish this restaurant can pay attention truly all the way till the end of their business hour. It took a little bit to wait, but it came with the hot bowl, we still could here the zzzzzz sound. That was very nice to have food serving hot. I LOVE the spring egg on the top！Poked a hole with chopstick, let the liquid yolk flush on the meat slowly, then you would have both egg taste and sauce in your mouth. My 2nd time being here. The yellow braised chicken is authentic. We also went for the sour and spicy glass noodle which tastes good too. These two things don't usually come together as one is a typical northern Chinese style and one is Sichuan (southern). But the creation of this restaurant has made them go perfectly with each other. I don't think the variety of foods is a lot, but given a fast food restaurant, that's acceptable. read more
