Service was really quick from when we ordered. Got the buy one get one free beers and it came out right away. Food was seasoned and cooked well. It's so fun to keep chewing on yummy flavors. Great karaoke music was playing and the vibe was great from the servers. I wish there was more water at the table, the first pot ran out very quickly. There was lots of reaching across the table to either throw the skewers or get more meat. A better layout would be more preferable. Overall hoping to eat more season meats soon!

Stopped by here with my friends after pottery class since it was open late. I've been to the Monterey Park location and that one usually is packed. This location was busy but not as packed and we didn't have to wait. We ordered the: golden soup: was perfect to share. It was filled with pork belly, vermicelli noodles, napa cabbage and some other fish balls. cucumbers salad: garlicy and crunchy- perfect additional to balance down the skewers. beef skewers and pork skewers- Both were flavorful but very little meat on it. Overall, it was a good late night meal. Service can be a little slow when it's a busy night.

I think this place is a great skewer spot especially considering its price. The skewers were almost 50 cents to a dollar each. I do think the portions are really small and everything tasted rather sweet even after dipping all the spice seasoning they provided. The inside is really spacious and u order everything on an ipad anyways so its great for a nice casual skewer spot if you want something reliable and cheap.

Cute decor, great place to go for a date or a night out with friends! However, if you are looking to make conversation, it might be difficult as the live music is quite loud. Overall vibes are nice though. Although they place small candles under the skewers, the stove isn't nearly hot enough to keep them warm. Food is pretty good and cucumber salad is a must. I would probably skip the corn cheese next time. The lamb hot pot had a very distinct lamb flavor. Surprisingly, I really liked the vegetarian skewers, including the corn, oyster mushrooms and cauliflower. You can't go wrong with any of the skewers! Don't forget to ask for additional seasoning to dip your skewers in!

Little Skewers is one of my favorite places to eat whenever I'm visiting a friend in the area. The food is always delicious, and the lamb skewers are easily my favorite thing on the menu. They're perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and something I find myself craving long after I leave. The atmosphere is casual and fun, making it a great spot to grab a meal and catch up with friends. If I'm nearby, there's a good chance I'm stopping here for lamb skewers. Highly recommend!

This is the third location I been to for little skewer, the decorations are very nice and pretty comfortable. No cleaning odor lingering at all. The customer service was good as well. One thing was not done right was the seasoning for the chicken skin and it was barely seasoned but that's the only flaw. The beef and and Cali flower was good as well.

This is my first time here to try its skewers. It was awesome. The restaurant is located inside a strip mall and plenty of parking spaces. The menu offers a lot of choices and the highlight of the dishes are the enoki mushroom and eggplants. The meat was awesome too. The environment is trendy with a bit of causal feel which was great. The service is attentive.

Scallop - pass. More like noodles with a baby scallop.

Can't wait to come back!! Everything was delicious and came out pretty quickly. You order through the tablet and can adjust the seasoning and spice level of each order. The potato and the chicken skin are must tries since u can't get them at many other places. Would pass on the scallop since it was mostly noodles with a baby scallop.

SOLID 4 Star restaurant. Tried this last night and really enjoyed it. They had a great Saturday nite singer and food tasted good. Cucumber dish was fantastic and am not a vegi person. You order by a pad and the food comes out fairly quick. You can adjust seasonings. They do not need a lot of help, but the girls working there were very helpful and nice. We will definitely come back!!

I've been to the Monterey Park location but never this one, looks like this one is more new! i came on a thur evening & it was super chill, more peaceful than the one in monterey park, which I preferred after a long day of work haha. Anyways, you just order your skewers from a tablet and it comes out super quickly, all the skewers were great, had a nice spicy flavor. My favs were the pork intestine, oyster mushroom, and lamb! All the skewers were tasty though! (5/5) Garlic enoki mushrooms were also so delish, love me some garlic! Service was super efficient, you can ring them in with the wall buttons and also the napkins hang off from the ceiling in a box which is pretty cool. Traditional yet silly decor throughout the restaurant! Overall had a nice time here and can always rely on this place for their efficiency.

We came to celebrate a girlfriend's bday. She loves to drink sake. This place hit the spot! Great food! A whole Bunch of different skewers from meats lamb, beef, chicken skin, pork intestine, corn, king mushroom, which can be ordered with original flavors, no spicy, or omit different spices. We got most with no spicy as not our whole party eats spicy food but asked for chili oil on the side. Sides of veggies: chives, eggplant, enoki mushroom. Drinks: sake, Sapporo on draft in a pitcher --win! Dessert: loved the fried taro balls!! Woooow! The cookies and cream shaved ice was also delicious! Great service! You order on the iPad and submit. Your dishes/drinks will come within minutes. Great ambiance! Felt like I was in China with their decor going back to the old Chinese movies I have watched with the alcohol bottles on the wall. There was live music by some Chinese entertainers both in Chinese and English songs. Very entertaining indeed!

I came here to celebrate my birthday since I was craving lamb skewers and wanted to give this place a try. First, the interior is very well decorated and makes you feel as though you've traveled to a very nice and clean tavern. I loved the punny signs on the walls and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant was beautiful. The food was alright. The skewers were tiny and have the tiniest amount of meat, which was disappointing. They were also very salty and the meat was tough. The stinky tofu dish was surprisingly the highlights of the night. I had never eaten stinky tofu before, but the stinky tofu was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There was no overly strong smell and was very delightful. We ended up ordering this dish 3 times throughout the meal. The enoki mushrooms were good and had a great amount of garlic on it, but was also on the salty and oily side. The duck blood was perfectly cooked, but unfortunately, I cannot handle the numbing mala spice very well so I was not able to finish this dish. I'm not sure if I missed that there's mala spice in the description or if it is simply not written, but do be warned that it's spicy. The scallops were okay, nothing much to write home about. While I didn't order any alcohol, I did see that they have a pretty cool and large alcohol menu. The table next to us ordered the multiple mini shots that looked very fun to drink if you're looking for a night out with some friends. The main letdown of the night was the service unfortunately. The waiters were inattentive and were seen laughing and talking amongst one another while we kept waving, calling out to them, and pressed the buzzer. Even when we walked to the bar area, they did not notice my friend asking for a water refill until he almost went past the bar area trying get their attention. Our plates were never cleared until the end of the meal, and we order 24 items in total so we had a lot of dishes piling up. We were a group of 7 sitting right in front of the bar area and we could clearly see the waiters, but they were so engrossed in their conversations that it was very hard to get their attention every time we wanted to ask for anything. And because the food was quite salty, we did ask for the water pitcher to be refilled quite a few times. Overall, I don't know if I will be back since the service was an extreme letdown. The food was alright. I think the main star of this place is the interior decor and it might be cool to bring a friend to drink and catch up with here. I hope this place is able to improve their service and maybe make the food a little less salty, then hopefully this place will be more popular.

Incredibly flavorful food, affordable prices and quick service. Once seated you place your order on the iPad and can customize the spice/heat per dish. Food & drinks show up quickly, you don't have to order everything at once and can continue to add items at ease since you're not dependent on flagging down a server. We loved everything we ate; Pork Belly skewers, cucumber salad, Enoki mushrooms & Surf Clam Skewers. We'll be back to try more items soon! Friday night there was a live singer belting out Y2K pop hits which often leads to crowd sing alongs. Good to know: napkins are hanging above each table (we had to ask where to locate them), large decorative receptacle on each table for your used skewer sticks.

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

I was pleasantly surprised when I sent an email to the address on the website and received a reply with the password in a little over thirty minutes. After parking, we didn't have any problems finding the entrance even though it is not marked. Look for the big wood double doors and doorman standing in front. After giving him the password, he opened the doors and we walked in. We were surprised in several ways. The place is way bigger than I would expect for a place named "The Speakeasy". And at 6:30pm on a Sunday, we were the only guests inside. Only one other couple came in during the 30 minutes we were there. I would assume they are a lot busier on Friday and Saturday night. It is dimly lit, and very red inside. The bar is large with many bottles of liquor on display and many seats. The rest of the space is one large area that must have at least 20 tables, and the ceiling is high. It gives off more of a nightclub vibe than a speakeasy vibe. I tried the Naked & Famous cocktail which has two of my favorite spirits (Vida mezcal, aperol, yellow Chartreuse, lime, $18). It was nicely balanced with a good mix of smoke and herbal flavor. She had the Pablo's Poison (Altos reposado tequila, strawberry, lime, jalapeno, elderflower, $17). The jalapeno flavor really stood out with strawberry and elderflower in the background. They have a good cocktail menu with almost twenty cocktails, as well as a food menu with ten items. Walk up to the bar to order your drinks. Diplomat is a Mediterranean restaurant in the Old Town Monrovia area…read more I came on a Friday lunch early lunch without a reservation and was able to get seated quickly. When I left, the tables got packed. I tried the platter for two, which came with a load of delicious rice, three proteins, roasted tomatoes and peppers. I enjoyed pairing it with their tahini and garlic sauces. The service and hospitality were amazing. Shout out to Ari, she is the best and really made my dining experience seamless. From recommendations, to check-ins, to bringing sauces for my table to try, it felt personable. The interior is perfect for families, dates, and catching up. It's casual but feels elevated. Overall, I had a great dining experience here and I'd recommend others to visit.

The food is delicious and the prices are appropriate given the portion sizes. Service was prompt and professional. Parking might be a challenge, though there are public lots within a block or two. We went on a Friday night and encountered heavy traffic from the local farmer's market/fair. The best item was the Beef kabob, 5 out of 5 stars. It was perfectly cooked, a very simply salt and pepper seasoning, juicy and simply divine! We got the kids meal, which came with only 4 pieces, and I'd be interested to return for the full adult portion. Also a 5-star experience was the Fried cauliflower appetizer. It had just the right amount of crispiness, without any blackening, and the garlic/parsley/lemon juice combo worked well. The juice was sucked into all the crevices, and overall it was light. I think I could have eaten two portions myself and called it a satisfying meal. I did dip in some tzatziki, which worked great too! Lastly the Chicken shawarma was a 4-star dish. Still delicious and I'd get it again, but it was slightly salty from the marinade and added sauce. I was expecting this to be wrapped up, but it was more an open-face naan with the chicken covering the top. Rice pilaf was savory, I'd rather not know just how many calories are included, the rice was still moist even after reheating the next day.
