Came here at 9:00 PM, they close at 9:30 PM and they were very friendly to welcome us in. Gave us some time to settle and look at menu then ordered but told us it was last call. We didnt leave the restaurant until 9:45 PM! Sorry! Thank you for accepting us when other places rejected! We had a cat fish, shared it with my fiancé but the fish has a lot of bones. The sauce was tasty though but something was still off about this catfish dish compared to other places. Would try other dishes instead, they offer a variety. They also have lunch special!

hidden gem, excellent thai food in a quiet small shopping center. place is nkt too busy coz its hidden and tucked away in the shopping center, you actually have to look for it.

    Curry dinner menu

Came here to try a new Thai spot after going to President Thai down the street for years and wanting something different. We ordered from the dinner menu, which comes with soup or salad, egg rolls or wontons, and white rice or shrimp fried rice, and an entree... great value. I got the chicken pad Thai and everything was so flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend ordered the yellow curry and it was absolutely amazing, rich and creamy with a coconut base that honestly reminded me of my mom's Vietnamese curry. The owner was also incredibly kind and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Such a welcoming experience. We'll definitely be back soon!

    Welcome to SALA THAI. #cuisineofthailand

SALA THAI restaurant offers exquisite Thai cuisine in a modern, stylish, homely venue. It's located in a midsize plaza in SGV. The interior is carefully lit, very spacious and relaxing even without a background music. They have a dinner special which was good to know. I ordered their noodle special - Pad Woon Sen. It's my favorite! It tastes great. Serving was on a smaller side but enough for one person. Staff were polite, amiable and professional. Plenty of parking space. Prices were inexpensive and fair. Food quality was very satisfactory. Overall, this is one of the finest Thai restaurants in the valley. I recommend it.

Service was kind and the man working spoke Thai. The food was decent and the prices were decent as well for the portion size. I tried the salted fish fried rice which has an acquired taste but was still tasty. The chicken rad na was okay.. maybe I shouldn't have gotten it with chicken though. Wasn't really a fan of the chicken texture. The pad Thai was good and the yen ta fo was very comforting! This is a great place to try out if you're in the area craving some Thai food.

Ordered the mint chicken, crispy pork and broccoli, papaya salad, chow mein, pad kee maw noodles and everything we had is full of spice and flavor. It's even better than most of the stuff I've had in Thailand. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly. If you want authentic Thai food skip President Thai down the road and eat here.

A small and homey spot that only had one person working but he was super attentive and sweet to us. Honestly some of the best, affordable Thai food in the area and it was not too busy on a Sunday during lunch time. My favorite dish had to be the Crispy Chicken Fried rice, the chicken was soo crispy and moist and the fried rice was well balanced with sweet, savory and some sour flavors. The yellow curry was not as spicy as we had hoped, with little to no kick although we had ordered medium spice. Pad thai and papaya salad were both solid!

I really appreciated that and was excited to eat my meal. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by how I was treated by one of the staff members. I had ordered online ahead of time since I only have a short lunch break and planned to dine in. There were plenty of open tables, but I was told I couldn't sit because online orders weren't considered "dine-in" and that seating was reserved so staff could make tips. That explanation didn't make sense and honestly made me feel unwelcomed as a paying customer. I was really looking forward to my meal, and the interaction completely killed the vibe. If you plan on eating here, I would recommend ordering in person to avoid any confusion. I'd also suggest the café clarify this policy, because the inconsistency took away from what would have otherwise been a great experience.

(: How it started: I showed up a couple min prior to their 5:30pm opening time and got welcomed in. Before I even sat down, a stranger at the corner table asked if I liked beer, to which I said yes, so he recommended the Suntory premium malt draft beer. I decided to go ahead & order it and liked it quite a bit & let the table of friends know. Before I knew it, I'd be introduced to Stan, one of the sunniest people you'll ever meet. He & his friends pretty much make the big decisions for the mall and are somewhat more involved w/ a handful of places like Tokyo Soul. It was such a privilege to be on the receiving end of their warmth, generosity, and openness. My friend & I ended up getting to try some of the items they're planning to introduce the following week (which I won't post pics of, just to keep it a surprise :P) as we continued getting to learn s'more about our new friends, interspersed by the continuation of my & my friend's own convos. We felt lucky that we got to be served by Edward too (a mentee of Stan's), who usually doesn't work that shift, but his friendliness was definitely one of the first things I noted as I got seated. The hospitality that night outshined the food only because it was like nothing I've experienced in LA. However, the food can hold its own, and though my conversations w/ my friend + Stan & co. meant I was eating my pork katsu curry rice way past its prime state, the dish was still so flavorful that it was a delight to eat even cold. What a Monday night to remember. Thank you Stan & co. for taking care of us so well!

Only option was finally to get takeout today. A little pricey for what it is. Not much rice or curry. Didn't really fill me up after paying almost $50 for sharing beef curry rice medium spice and hayashi rice. It came with miso soup on the side and bc of the cyclospora outbreak, they weren't serving salad so refunded me $4. The beef in the curry rice was too beefy and chewy. The medium spice didn't really have a kick to it. The meat in the hayashi rice tastes like hot pot meats and the flavoring in that didn't have enough OOOMPHH if you know what I mean. Since it's located in the mall, there's plenty of parking available. This restaurant is on the 2nd floor right next to Nordstrom.

I tried the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Margherita Pizza. My most candid thoughts: Margherita Pizza: This resembled more of a flat bread than a pizza. The sauce they used tasted like tomato pasta sauce from a jar and not necessarily pizza sauce. The dough tasted somewhat undercooked and thick, and the sauce and cheese did not stick well to the dough. Very bland in flavor. Huge portion though for the price. 5.5/10 Chicken Caesar Wrap: Very underwhelming as the chicken tasted dry and rough. I really liked the Spicy Caesar sauce though. It really spiced things up and added more flavors to the bland wrap. Portion was great and lettuce was fresh. I loved that they added avocados. However, it was definitely not the best Chicken Caesar wrap I've ever had and I would most definitely not be dying to order it again. 7/10 Parking is convenient as there is a free lot nearby.
