Was riding my motorcycle from NY Hudson Valley to Kennebunkport, randomly stopped here for a short break. Lucky me, enjoyed two very delicious IPAs, nice friendly service, moderate prices, and pleasant outdoor seating overlooking the river. Also, the absolutely cleanest restroom I've ever visited in a brewery. Highly recommend.

The owners are wonderful and the ambience is perfect! Music is catchy and not too loud. Beer is phenominal! Come on by and enjoy!

Love Dolly - she makes the place with her warmth. Brews are great and what a selection. Jamie isn't so friendly. I'm glad the team is.

A few years ago, my partner and I had gone to Empty Pint and had a decent experience trying out…read moresome of their beer offerings. It had recently opened and the owner was talking to us about the beer and was incredibly knowledgeable. We were the only ones in the venue, but nonetheless, the owner was nice and talked to us throughout our experience. Fast forward, and we recently decided to bring a friend to the brewery on a Saturday night. For starters, the venue was completely dead. There were no other patrons (I don't know how they stay in business with the consistent lack of customers) and the bartender was...odd. We went to the bar and barely got a "hello." My friend and I ordered the pale ale offering that they had and my partner got an IPA. The bartender asked if we wanted to start a tab, so we said "sure." We stood there as the bartender turned his back...assuming he would take our cards. We awkwardly walked to a table as we sipped our beers...which we were not a fan of. The pale ale had a weird flavor to it, and the IPA had an odd taste as well. We fought through the taste, as we sat in silence with no patrons and just the bartender. We ended up paying our bill and quickly leaving. It's unfortunate, because Dover has the opportunity to house cool brewery spots, but this one misses the mark between the awkward service and the odd tasting beer. The general consensus was that we would not come back.

We've been to several of Dover's brew tasting rooms. This one really made us feel at home. Met the…read morefounder manning the bar. Love the Vice. Apparently, trivia is Wednesdays each week, We joined in and came in third. Good times!

Visited on 7/19/26 with my wife and dog. Drove up from Rhode Island after seeing the menu,…read moreavailable beers, and learning they were dog friendly. We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons.

To my satisfaction, they had a pretty tasty stout and even let me buy a half glass rather than full. The great musician offered up some fun live music - which Sanford needs more of, so I'm grateful for that, but then he allowed my brother to go up and sing some songs. Maybe that will become a more regular happening! Their closing time is listed as 8pm but I think because people were there having a good time, they stayed open a little bit later.

Of course the ice cream place was packed so we opted for this. Unbeknownst to me, there was an upcharge since this place isn't really related to the ice cream shop. It was all a bit confusing. It was really hot inside so we opted to sit outside on some barrels. I ordered some chicken strips and a hot dog, with fries. We also ordered some mozarella sticks. I had ordered the hot dog since I wasn't sure how many chicken strips I would get, turns out three chicken strips would have sufficed. The hot dog was the kind with thick skin that I had to ungraciously strip off before I could even take a bite!! Once the skin was gone the hot dog was good. The chicken strips were OK, somehow a bit too processed for my preference. Fries unremarkable. The ambiance was nice, we had a fun time laughing on the side of the restaurant. I might come here again if the weather was better, it was SO HOT inside that it would not have been habitable for me. I might try something different next time.

If you looked through my reviews I have quite a few for breweries! Less so I have a handful of…read morereviews that I have done close to a places closure. This review can be classified as both. Definitive in Portland is an absolute favorite of my wife and I! We had our first unofficial date there, made many trips to try new beers as well as had our engagement photos taken there as well! Definitive did recently announce their closure of this location recently and my wife and I were free this weekend for their last weekend open. We made time to get down here to visit the spot as we had never checked out this location. If I was rating solely off of beers I would give five stars for the quality and taste. They have some delicious sours and make a good variety of styles. Only knock on their beers would be they have not made as many new beers over the past couple years. The downgrade from five stars into four stars comes down to the location itself. While I am understanding that due to space constraints it is more limited for space here it is overall a more disappointing space when you compare it to Portland. They do still have a patio available but the size is so small compared to Portland. The overall inside vibes are just not as nice either. This was a great spot to get all of those visiting the tourist heavy area of Kittery but I would take the Portland location everyday! Overall though it is a shame to see a brewery location closing in our great state of Maine especially a location of a brewery that is a favorite of my wife and I!

Wanted to visit this location as sadly it closes Monday. We tried several IPA's and sour beers…read more Parking was quite easy for us as traffic was really busy on the roads coming into brewery.
