incredibly chill vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. We couldn't resist trying their delicious beers! Each one was better than the last and definitely set us up for a great start on our brewery hopping adventure

I'm here for the tacos- I could leave the beer. We had a few different half pours as they do not do flights (why???) so we didn't get to sample everything. What we had was okay but not great. I didn't like any of their dark options. Their blueberry sour was pretty good. The IPA we had was average. But the tacos... were some of the best I've had in a long while! They have lots of options. The price is per taco and is a little steep in my opinion. If you had 3 people with you id recommend just getting one of each. Vegetarian options are available and delicious! Of note- it was freezing in there when we were there. Kept my coat on the whole time. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking here is a pain because it's downtown Dover but there's a lot across the road if you don't mind a little stroll. It's super cute inside!

Employees are always very friendly, great variety of beers and a great outdoor patio that is dog friendly! We visit here often!

Just doing my annual post for this place to report on our latest visit and tell you about how amazing they continue to be! The team here continues to produce delicious beers that rotate at a good pace so things never get stale on their menu. Plus, their taco menu is on point - such a great addition during the pandemic! And, they are expanding into the space next door, which means they have a little more seating available, especially outdoors which is GREAT now that spring (and the nicer weather) is finally here! We can't visit this place enough...only wish we lived closer!

Being a lover of IPAs, Garrison City has quickly become a favorite brewery of mine. Garrison specializes in New England IPAs, however, they always have a variety of beers on tap including stouts, sours, and goses. The facility is industrial meets modern. There is a lower section with high top tables and a higher section with benches. The venue brings in a lot of light, which adds to the appeal of the modernized establishment. The staff is always typically nice and attentive. The brewery also provides patrons with some street taco options, as well as some snacks. I have tried the Asian tacos which were fantastic and extremely reasonably priced. Some of my favorite beer rotations from Garrison include the Unbranded Concrete Mouse and the Pillow Talk, both of which are New England IPAs. However, their Brazen Piñata, which was a gose with grilled pineapple and fermented in tequila barrels, is also a favorite along with their Orange Mocha Frappuccino which is a white stout busting with Frappuccino flavor. This will definitely continue to be a venue I venture out to in Dover! Worth checking out when you are in the area.

So many different and complex, delicious brews here!!!! I, as a general rule, do not like gose! However, I love their Blackberry Gose!!!!! I also appreciate how many yummy pale, New England, and Double IPA's there. Try this place if you are a beer connoisseur, you will not be dissatisfied.

    Incomparable IPAs :)

It had recently opened and the owner was talking to us about the beer and was incredibly knowledgeable. We were the only ones in the venue, but nonetheless, the owner was nice and talked to us throughout our experience. Fast forward, and we recently decided to bring a friend to the brewery on a Saturday night. For starters, the venue was completely dead. There were no other patrons (I don't know how they stay in business with the consistent lack of customers) and the bartender was...odd. We went to the bar and barely got a "hello." My friend and I ordered the pale ale offering that they had and my partner got an IPA. The bartender asked if we wanted to start a tab, so we said "sure." We stood there as the bartender turned his back...assuming he would take our cards. We awkwardly walked to a table as we sipped our beers...which we were not a fan of. The pale ale had a weird flavor to it, and the IPA had an odd taste as well. We fought through the taste, as we sat in silence with no patrons and just the bartender. We ended up paying our bill and quickly leaving. It's unfortunate, because Dover has the opportunity to house cool brewery spots, but this one misses the mark between the awkward service and the odd tasting beer. The general consensus was that we would not come back.

They've been open for around 8 years and have expanded their tasting room/brewing a couple times I believe. It's quite a traditional tasting room with a bar and plenty of non bar seating as well. Some large garage doors that can also be opened during warm weather. We sat at the bar and due to our timing it was not busy and the bartender immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome showing us the menu. They had a good variety of beer styles available including IPAs (single, double, fruited), brown ale, blonde, lager, stout, and more. They also got non alcoholic options as well as a food menu too. Can't speak to the food as we had lunch before our visit! Seemed like a great variety of offerings though! We were happy to visit and check this off our Maine brewery list. Beers were decent while not being extremely memorable or stand out. I did appreciate their wide variety of beer styles though. Still worth visiting for sure!

Burger: I went with the Beast Mode, which comes with two patties, cheese, double bacon, "Hop sauce," crispy onions, pickles, and maybe more. Can't really specify temp, so the patties a bit dry, but well-seasoned and really good beef flavor. I liked the creamy, zingy sauce. But that bacon! Flavorwise, among the best bacon I've ever had. Texturewise, I really liked the thickness and pliability, but this came at the expense of some crispness. I'll take that trade but same may not. I also really liked the bun, which is a seeded briochy model that's less dense than what I've had previously at Tuckaway. Overall, very good burger. Gimme some juiciness and it's a great burger. Fries: They come standard with the burgers and chicken. A small order, but enough to get by and nicely done. Many fries options with various add-ons. You can also get onion strings, even though they're not on the menu. Shake: I went with chocolate. Not as fudgy as some I've had, but tasted very natural, with the milk flavor coming through, no shortage of chocolate, and a consistently that's thick but very drinkable. Good accompaniment to the burger. Chicken Tenders: I split a trio that came with fries and choice of sauce. These were huge and flattened, kinda like a chicken parm. Very crisp, well-seasoned, and juicy in spots, not-so-juicy in other spots. Good flavor on its own and in tandem with our hot honey (generous cup), dry rub (ditto), and both. Friendly staff throughout. Looking forward to coming back.
