Me and wife originally came to the lot and opted for L&L bbq but then we came across this spot that the lunch special. I was impressed with the portion size on food because I eat A LOT and this for sure satisfied my hunger while also satisfying my tastebuds too. The spring roll was okay. We visited Ikkyu during our vacation in Kona. The staff is very polite and friendly. You will find lots of parking in the shopping complex. We came like at 3pm since we drove from Hilo and they still were open for lunch. Tried many dishes and loved all of them. Ramen and shrimp fried rice were my favorite. We are on vacation, staying nearby in Kailua-Kona. Shocked by the prices on this island paradise. Anyhow, after adjusting to the price shock, one must still eat. We stumbled across this establishment wanting to try some noodles. The price was not too bad. However, do not expect it to be authentic Japanese. There is absolutely nothing Japanese about it, whether it be ramen, curry or gyoza. This place does not taste anything like Japanese cuisine. The service was pretty quick and attentive. The establishment is in a shopping center along with other restaurants. Two waitress working but it's hard to communicate with them because they don't much speak English. Two of us tried one appetizer, two main noodles and one side dish. Food was pretty bad ( I'm not surprised ) Salty, No flavor at all. I'm sure I able to make instant noodles much better.
