After a stolen vehicle ran a red light and took out the front end of my Lexus, I was stuck without a car and in a situation where insurance is unable to settle for several months (still isn't resolved at time of writing). I'm not a car guy, but after much deliberation I decided to repair the car myself. I've taken it very far all things considered, but eventually I ran into an issue I was unable to deal with without a professional's opinion, tools, and experience. I called over a dozen auto body shops in my area and 99% of them were unwilling to do partial repairs, never returned my calls, or gave me an outrageous estimate for the job I was requesting. Finally, I called Ikon Auto Collision and spoke with Ivan. His approach to business with me was completely different from every other shop I contacted. He actually returned my calls and messages, was willing to work on just the parts I needed help with, and gave me a very fair price! In just one day everything I requested was done and now my car is in a place where I can confidently complete the whole thing! It was a very cathartic finding a place that didn't seem like it just wanted to make as much profit as possible off me and my situation. They were honest, advised me on how best to approach other parts of my repair, and not once did they try to sell me something I didn't need or ask for. He assured me that even if I run into more issues I can reach back out to them to figure it out... which I'm way more likely to do now that they've earned my trust! One of our cars suffered off road collision damage. At first it seemed like a small/medium bumper repair job. I met with Kent and he treated me like a top customer anyway and was willing to work with me in ways that other shops were not willing to. Long story short, there was unseen damage below that car that eventually brought the car to a total loss. My insurance State Farm surprised me by giving me the short end of the stick--REPEATEDLY. State Farm's quality of service dropped noticeably post-COVID times, and it really showed. They kept ignoring a few big ticket damages to keep the repair bill artificially low... FIVE estimates and almost TWO months later, the Ikon team came through for me! Kent and his team stayed on my side the whole way, they worked hard to get my insurance to cover what I paid them all these years for. It was frustrating, but I was patient and so was Ikon. One way or another I was going to get my fair portion. Kent and his team were responsive every time I had a question or wanted to talk. He continually gave me good advice from beginning to end to keep me from getting ripped off. We hit debris on the freeway on a holiday weekend and messaged Ikon Auto Collision that same evening requesting an appointment for an estimate, understanding that it may take days because of the holiday. We got a response the very next morning. I met with Kent, one of the owners, and he gave me multiple options and things to consider in relation to my auto insurance coverage. My family and I took a trip to Disney World. We left our car parked at one of the LAX Airport parking lots only to find out it had been hit upon our return. What a bummer. I have had two classic cars painted here and these guys know there stuff. They have great customer service and communicate through the entire process. First car I had painted here was a 74 Dodge Dart. They removed the old vinyl roof off and painted it white. Also removed some rust from rear panel and color matched the original single stage paint (not easy to do). Came out amazing. Second vehicle was a 1977 f350 truck. We ended up spraying the entire truck with rhino liner that Matched the original paint color. Came out looking really good. Also did the bed black with spray liner. Really happy with the service and product at this shop. Most paint shops you go to the staff is rude and don't want to give you the time of day if your not an insurance claim. These guys care and obviously enjoy what they do. They are masters of their craft. Constant updates and text photos and videos along the way. I highly recommend ikon if you need paint or body work.
