I came by today as I had a little bit of time before an appointment, and I've been wanting to try it. First off, the staff was super nice. I didn't get her name, but what I think was the manager at the counter was incredibly friendly. She took the time to let me know what their specials were for the week, and how ordering worked. She made small talk about how the week was going, and let me know how long it would take for food to come out. In short, not as long as I'd expect from a freshly cooked meal. Only 15 minutes! The lobby is very clean and has a professional feel, although it has a wonderful touch that screams "Small business, and a family." I was really vibing with it. Alright, now with the food. I don't know where they found these chickens, but they are SERIOUSLY pumping iron. Big scrumptious juice little pieces of heaven breaded in a nice deep fried skin that stays crispy even when drenched in delectable flavor. And did I mention sauce? They did NOT skimp on their sauce. I had the lemon pepper wings, and they came in a POOL of sauce. Something I really appreciated. The fact that they stayed crispy and still sizzled even while I rolled them around in their own little pool of flavor ensured that I had a fresh flavorful bite EVERY bite. Overall, Ikonic Wings is quickly becoming a staple in Lacey, and it doesn't take a genius to know why. They love their food. They have respect for their ingredients. This place is absolutely amazing. Everything you order is made fresh so if you're in a hurry call them and order ahead. I went there for the first time today and it is amazing. They have a few stools with a counter but not many people can fit in there. Now to rate the food I got the 7 piece tenders with sweet blaze sauce which was amazing. I'm sorry, I wanted to love this place. I love local small businesses and restaurants. This is near where I live and I love fried chicken. The wings themselves were HUGE, which is fantastic. So word to the wise, order the smaller portion because I'm telling you, even big eaters won't be able to finish 5 without busting a gut and you still have to potato wedge things and a biscuit! I tried two of their sauces and they were so drowned in both that by the time I got home the wings were soggy and the sauces ran together and pooled at the bottom of the box. The biscuit I can't rate because it was practically dissolved on the bottom of the box in the sauce. Overall, this place has potential and I truly hope people give it a try and have a better experience than I did. I, myself, won't likely be back. read more

I've tried calling them on multiple occasions once they were open to verify and no answers. I had to go in there only to find out I couldn't have any of their wings since their batter has dairy. Tbh I was not impressed with these wings at all. I don't eat out much due to being new to WA but after reading the reviews I thought it would be pretty good. The only thing that stands out about these wings is that they're pretty gigantic in size. We ordered almost every flavor except the buffalo bc I figured it was your basic buffalo sauce but the other flavors didn't really stand out. We all agreed that the MacD sauce was by far the best if we had to choose one flavor.. Unfortunately, none of these flavors were spicy. Also, we didn't really eat these so they sat out for a bit the sauce got all clumpy which looked kind of weird. If you're closer to a wing stop (which I am not) I would just recommend going there.. Id you're use to having more variety and if you're from out of state I don't think you'll like these. read more

I don't typically call out other eateries by name, but I will make an exception in this case. We usually ate wings/chicken from KFC, Churches Chicken, Popeyes, Wingstop, and Bruceski's. Let me tell you sincerely, our journey for wings has ended. Ikonic Wings is our choice hands down. The food is amazing and the wings are deliciously fresh, crisp, and generously sauced (can order plain if prefer). The wife and I enjoy choosing from, at least, 12 various sauces that coats our pieces of heavenly comfort. Oh, by the way, the wings are huge so bring an appetite. The service is basically take-out-to go but the friendly welcome and personal care is all that of a top-line sit down restaurant. So, the service was great, waddles were to die for love them, but my only dislike was way to much breading on thing wings for my liking. I'm a bare or lightly breaded type. So it made the wing seem a bit hard to me. But I will say it did taste better from the reheat in the oven the next day, I enjoyed that better than the original tasting. I think it made it a lil softer after sitting in sauce overnight then a quick heat gave it a softer crunch. Next time I'll ask for light breading since it's made to order.
