Service was decent, waitress was attentive BUT everyone in our party that ordered a dish with seafood was very disappointed and grossed out. The seafood wasn't fresh!! Super tiny pieces of squid, the catch of the day was salmon and completely flavorless as was the red wine sauce! It's Newport!! Come on! Don't serve poor quality seafood, possibly frozen from a bag. One of the best ravioli plates I've ever had! It came out a different color than what I'm used to, so I was a little nervous to try it, but I ended up falling in love with the dish! Have been wanting to go here for weeks & finally went tonight- started off great, got our drinks and apps quickly and they were delicious. Definitely one of the better pizzas I've had in my life. Now, I'm no pizza connoisseur but dang, this was delicious. The crust was super crispy and the sauce was very flavorful. The prosciutto and parmesan made the pizza pretty salty which was balanced out by the arugula. I just asked for a recommendation from the server and this was what she surprised us with! The service was also very fast and sweet. Parking here kinda sucks though cause it's in that area next to the pier that's lined with bars and a whole bunch of other businesses. Definitely a great place to go after you've downed a couple drinks at the local bars and want a place to get some food. I went pretty late on a Friday night (like 10:30pm/11:00pm) so there was plenty seating but I can't comment on how crowded this place usually gets during the days. read more

We came here last minute on a whim. We didn't have any reservations and had a larger party (6)... they moved things around to accommodate us. So happy I discovered this treasure. This Italian restaurant is inconspicuous and fantastic. They do a tableside Farro and Lamb Leg that is to die for. The Farro is prepared in a gigantic Parmigiano wheel. It is just fantastic and delicious. I'll see if I can upload the video! I personally did not have a great experience here. The man working at the walk up window for slices of pizza charged me $40 for 2 slices of pizza. When I looked at the receipt he charged me for multiple different food items that were not pizza and tried getting me to pay for it. I got my money back thankfully but they definitely try & over charge people who they don't think will notice, so many sure to get your receipts! Pretty upset when he tried telling me it was an accident when I saw him put in all the items into the register. read more

The bread and olive oil to start were delicious; we enjoyed munching on this while the chef personally came to our table to share the night's specials. We ate two of the specials, a rolled chicken-cheesy pasta and wild boar osso bucco - AMAZING! Our kids had cheese pizza and fettuccini alfredo, which were also quite tasty. Everyone knows I love LOVE LOVE good Italian food. This place has THE BEST CIOPPINO I have ever had! Sorry Mom! The seafood is fresh, it's perfect to the tooth, including the octopus! and the clams, mussels, and scallops are soft, well seasoned and the broth is fantastic. The ambiance was a bit noisy but tolerable. A conversation was still possible. Crowd was happy. The servings of all of the dishes was quite generous. The zucchini flower was overwhelmed by the thick batter but palatable. Hard to appreciate the flower. The calamari, nicely done crispy and light. I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli which was well adorned a sauce with a light touch of saffron. The only disappointment of the night was the wild boar osso buco with pappardelle. Way too salty. Someone else near us noted the same. We tried to eat it but it was simply too salty. We thought of returning the dish, but did not want to trouble the busy staff. read more
