Cold bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Average food. In past years I had excellent meals at Il Fornello, Toronto location so expected the same quality and flavour food here when the Missississauga location opened. I don't think there is consistency across restaurant chains. What would make my experience better would be to serve warm, not ice cold bread, check that seafood is fresh - I had one mussel that was not open, and standardize recipes and flavours. The restaurant itself had modern decor and service was good.

The restaurant had nice seating areas, including an enclosed patio area, the decor is minimal but one can see the kitchen and bar which are open concept. By going to the washroom, I saw a small party room which is quite interesting. Maybe you can hold a party of 12 there in the near future? Our server wasn't the friendliest but she got what we needed. Other female servers also came to check on us. We were there for their Happy Hour Menu. We ordered four dishes to share, and a crème brûlée each. It came with nice bread and a dip. 1 - eggplant parmigiana was surprisingly a small portion for $10. It came hot and saucy which was great! 2 - agro dip only came with four fritto chips which meant we had a lot of dip leftover... so we used it for the crust of the pizza. The better combo - with their complimentary bread was better!!! The frittos were very hard on the teeth. Hard to chew!! (The worst part of this meal.) 3 - the two pizzas were delicious and the crust was chewy. Loved it! 4 - the dessert was a nice finish to the meal. Overall, it was a good experience. I would go back for their pizza and try their pasta dish.

The food was just "ok", but not worth going back for. The calamari was not seasoned properly and bland. Some pieces were tough and hard to chew. I ordered the pizza with sausage, mushroom, and a honey glaze. The flavour combination was good as the saltiness from the sausage was offset by the honey. Service was great - our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a minimal design, with plenty of seating. There was also a party room in the back that was booked for a private event.

This private room is really well done. It is a small long room that can fit quite a long table. The lighting is great and it even has a TV at the end of it. The food is great. The vibes are great and the service is very good! Since we were part of a large group, we got a few appetizers to share like the nacho platter and the garlic bread. I had a chance to try the nachos and they were great. For my main I asked our server which pastas she recommended and she gave some great suggestions. I ended up going with the fettuccine alfredo and added chicken to it. I was honestly really pleasantly surprised that it tasted absolutely delicious and also came with a small garlic bread. I also had the chance to try their sweet potato fries which were also really good. Since we were here for a friend's birthday we did bring a cake and the staff were so kind and helpful. They brought the cake out and brought knives, cutlery and small plates for us to serve the cake. They even went above and beyond by offering to take the cake back to the kitchen and keep it in the fridge for us, they actually cut up the rest of the cake and put them in takeout containers for all of us to take home. In terms of payment, they were able to split bills for such a large party, which I appreciated. The rest of the restaurant has a very chill vibe as well. They have live music which was nice to enjoy for a bit. However, I also really appreciated the fact that the private room had doors on it which is really nice for privacy if we wanted it. The washrooms here are also very clean. Overall, I had a great first experience here, and I think I will definitely be back for their patio in the summertime.

Nice, cozy place and a great location just opposite the Cineplex…read more We had never been here before, so decided to check it out this evening There were a couple of tables occupied in the patio and inside - so it was clearly not super busy when we got in. But it still took 15 minutes before someone came to our table to take our order - so that wasn't the best of starts We ordered the pickled beet salad, baked brie and the pork belly bao buns The salad and bao buns were great but the baked brie was a huge disappointment There was more salad and pear than there was baked brie and we've tasted way way better than what we were served here Given that there are many options around the Cineplex, I don't think I will be back here in a hurry

Bo*Vine Burgers & Bar, as part of this promotion, had a prix fixe menu. I took my father with me for lunch at this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! Our server was very pleasant and hospitable as she took us to our corner booth. The appetizer did its job, as the House Dip (made up of spinach & mushroom in a heated cheese dip) and the vegetable gyoza were delectable opening bites. For our mains, my father ordered the Buttered Shrimp Roll, which had a bit of a tasty kick! I had their Smash Burger, which had smoked bacon and crispy shallots; it was an epic combination of crunch and cow in my mouth! The environment was very chill during our meal, as multiple TVs were on display to give us viewing options but not totally overwhelming our dining experience. Our meal was capped by a chocolate espresso mousse that sated us fully. Can't wait for our next meal at Bo*Vine, likely before or after a movie in the same plaza!

Also had the bangers and mash. Mashed were tasty, not like from a box. The beans had a nice taste to it that I cannot pinpoint exactly what the flavour combination was, but it worked well. Went here when there was a live performer. Could get noisy. Some people dance in a small area by the door. The service could be better however.

Myself along with 3 family friends tried this place over the weekend after I had read positive…read morereviews about it and found ourselves in the area. None of us were overly-satisfied with the experience and I doubt any of us would return voluntarily. They do appear to have a nice patio which would seem nice in the summer; however, it's currently facing a construction zone that doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon. It labels itself as an English pub and they've done very nice things with the décor. I especially appreciate the rows of books at the back of the pub. There are numerous flat screen TVs distributed throughout the pub, playing various sports games/races. The servers are friendly and prompt, although, they asked a couple of questions indicating they weren't familiar with the menu. The atmosphere was pleasant and laid back, The menu has "traditional English fare" at traditional English prices. A typical entrée will cost between $12-$15. Their bar menu is more reasonable with beers ranging from $3-6. One friend has a gluten allergy and only had one option to choose from when picking a main. Thankfully, she was somewhat in the mood for salad but when asked how it was, she responded "it's lettuce." Not the best review of a dish I'd ever heard. The rest of us ordered traditional English classics. Two of the members in the party were very curious about the strange aftertaste left by the "bangers" in the bangers and mash. I must admit, I tried it and couldn't label the strange taste either. The fish and chips were decent but slightly over priced. The best part of that dish for me was the coleslaw of which I could have eaten that dressing all day. When time for coffee and dessert, this place lost another star or two. One person in our party wanted decaf (which they didn't have) and the one person who wanted dessert was underwhelmed by the ONE option available, a deep fried mars bar. Those who had regular coffee were satisfied with it's taste. However, the rest of us went to local Tim Hortons to satisfy our coffee and sweet tooth cravings after dinner. All in all, a lot of little things were wrong or missing that gave this place such a low rating. I don't believe any of us will be returning voluntarily in the future.
