11/10! Super friendly and most importantly the food is classic Italian food that tastes just like you are eating real Italian food in Italy. Every dish was delicious. Pasta sauce and pasta noodles are perfectly cooked and compliments each bite! Thank you for amazing customer service and amazing food!

Tiramisu was very nice, light, not too sweet.

Garlic shrimp appetizer was well cooked, shrimp had the snap. A bit lemony never the less good. My husband had the chicken Milanese was large, he ate the everything on the plate. This place is Italian, just opened, the building use to be a Mexican restaurant so the atmosphere is confusing. The food is reasonably priced and tasty. We were looking for a low key place for a quick unpretentious meal. Service was good, food came out quickly.

Great food, and service! We had calamari for appetizer and the Lasagna de la Mama, and Linguine Vongole. Prices were very reasonable. The quality of the food was wonderful and we definitely plan to come back. Thank you Sal for making my wife's birthday extra special.

It is now Il Portal. Italian. The same great service, with a new Italian chef. You can still get a margarita here! The menu looks amazing.

Although the service was just fine, the food was very disappointing. The restaurant was very noisy and loud.

Anyway, this restaurant is a favorite of my youngest son. The staff are alway very friendly and helpful. They are patient with him as he has slow speech. The pasta is pretty good. We love the bread sticks here. They come with a cream cheese based "butter" that is so good especially with the hot bread sticks. The chicken caesar salad is also a favorite. The portions are large and easily shared by 2. You can also buy the bread and cream cheese butter to take home. We used to buy the bread and bake it at home for my son but it's always better at the restaurant! They do sell fresh pasta and sauces that you can buy to make it at home. There's also a soda fountain machine that is a self service area for your drinks. We enjoy coming to Pasta Market and also help the local community restaurants in our area.

We were pleased with the overall quality and service - food came out fast. The restaurant was very clean and had a good atmosphere with Italian scenic pictures on the walls and some wall murals to make you feel like you're in a quaint Tuscan village. Portions were really big for the price and tasty - they did a good job with the seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp) and pasta (not overcooked or undercooked). Baked ravioli came with a delicious cheese and marinara dipping sauce that oozed over the dipped ravioli edges creating a satisfying crispy, melty cheesy, saucy immersion in our mouths. Would definitely come back again.

We came here to celebrate my birthday, and wow... every single thing we ordered was amazing. There wasn't one dish we didn't love. The biggest highlight for me was our server, Jose. He was so professional, dressed impeccably, smelled great, and you could tell he genuinely cared about giving great service. Everything came out at the perfect time, and he made us feel so welcome. Restaurants are lucky to have people like him, and if I were the owner, I'd do everything I could to keep an employee like Jose. I also loved seeing the manager walking around the restaurant checking on every table. That's honestly something we don't see very often around the Bay Area. Even though the restaurant was packed, everything ran so smoothly. We'll definitely be coming back again and again. Thank you for making my birthday dinner such a memorable one!

At our wonder server Manal's suggestion, we started with the deliciously tender and beautifully seasoned artichoke followed by the Margarita Pizza (perfect crust with the right amount of crispiness) Meatballs like Grandma used to make and a Calamari that would put all the local seafood places to shame! My friends drank from their well selected array of wines and were quite pleased. Our waters were filled and dishes cleared like a well tuned orchestra. Manager John and waiter Marco checked on us throughout our meal and made us feel like VIP's. Thanks again Il Fornaio for a Perfect Experience!

But my love for pasta is simply too strong,I just can't eliminate it completely. After all, carbs make me happy. So I made a deal with myself: I treat myself to truly great pasta just once a month. When that craving hits, this is the place I come to. The fresh pasta has the perfect texture and bite, and every sauce is rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. Every visit reminds me that life's all about balance and when the pasta is this good, it's worth every bite.

The carbonara was amazing--served super hot with great flavor and a solid amount of meat. Easily a 10/10. One tip though: eat it while it's hot, because once it cools down, it's not quite the same. The seafood pasta was also a standout. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and it felt surprisingly light for a pasta dish. You know how pasta can sometimes feel heavy? This didn't have that at all. Another 10/10. The pesto pasta (a special that day) was just okay for me. It leaned a bit too oily, and the pesto flavor didn't really come through. They added ricotta, which kind of overpowered everything else. I did like the portion and the amount of meat, but overall I'd give it a 7/10. The ambiance was decent--nothing too special, but clean and comfortable. Service was excellent. It felt like a family-run place--three brothers along with their wives and kids--and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They gave great recommendations and even helped accommodate my mom by seating us closer to the bathroom, which I really appreciated. Just a heads up: it's in downtown Los Gatos, so parking can be a bit tricky since there's no private lot. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place. The portions and quality justify the price, and it stands out as one of the better Italian spots in the Bay Area.

Appetizers: Calamari - 3/5 the batter was light which I liked but I wished it had more seasoning. It felt on the more bland side. Pasta: I got the Saliccia e funghi, it was light and flavorful. I like the pasta noodle and the combination - which had chicken, mushrooms. I don't go out of my way for Italian food but I'm so glad I found this place! Definitely will be back to try different dishes.
